Why Does the Pro-Life Movement Align w/the Pro-Death Party?

Thousands attended the annual mecca to the nation's capital on Friday to "March for Life." It's an anti-abortion rally that's held in Washington, DC every year going all the way back to 1974. You can tell they really believe it's an issue of life and death as every poster, slogan, and speech is soaked with the word "life." It's called the "March for Life." Can we really trust the "sanctity of human life" with a political party that puts gun sales ahead of the lives of 1st graders? Only when the so-called pro-lifers in the Republican Party begin to respect not just the life of a cluster of cells in a woman's womb, but also the life of the woman herself, and her working class husband's life, and her gay or lesbian aunt's life, and her child who will have to inherit this warming planet's life, and her Afghan or Iraqi friend abroad's life - only then - will they genuinely be pro-life. But until that day, Republicans are just marching for death.

The Good, The Bad and the Very Very Proditoriously Ugly!

The Good! *Ireland* Irish and United Kingdom government officials signed an agreement today to build some of the world's largest wind turbines on the Emerald Isle. The turbines - which will be more than 600 feet tall - will transfer enough energy to the UK to power millions of homes by 2017. The United Kingdom is already one of the biggest wind energy producers in the world - with wind turbines dotting the UK country side - and many offshore in the North Sea. The UK and Ireland realize that wind is a clean and green form of energy. It's too bad Washington doesn't feel the same way

Thom Hartmann Explodes at Libertarian over Life-Saving Healthcare

Austin Petersen, FreedomWorks.com, joins Thom Hartmann. What part of "right to life..." don't libertarians understand? Only in America would someone have to threaten to kill the President in order to get life-saving healthcare. Isn't it time we made healthcare a basic human right - so sick Americans don't have to take such drastic measures?

Meet the "The Untouchables"

Mike Papantonio, Ring of Fire Radio, joins Thom Hartmann. Wall Street banksters have been committing rampant crimes against the American people for years - but have managed to escape punishment. Why did the Department of Justice refuse to prosecute these criminals - and what does this say about Wall Street's sway with the federal government? The banksters on Wall Street got away with murder, literally. There have been broken families, divorces, suicides, and even murders that arguably can be tracked back to people's lives being destroyed by the greed of the banksters on Wall Street. And not a single Wall Street executive has gone to jail.
