"Renaissance Thinking About the Issues of Our Day"
It's hard to believe that it's been 40 years since the tragedy at Kent State, take a moment on Tuesday to remember what happened on that day and those who were affected.
I wrote this to my local paper: I saw two seperate very sad mexican children at the store today which prompted this letter to the editor:

Companies that will hire a illegal immigrants to work and pay them substandard wages, no benefits, and in dangerous conditions.
Take a look at this drywall construction company. This company is an Arizona-based firm, that will take unfairly advantage use of its employees for the companies profit and benefit only, and keep the Americans working family from a fair livable wage.
On Thom's show today on AirAmerica, which I receive on XM 167, a caller claimed that many people come to America for treatment because our health care is so great. B.S.
Aside from this being largely [and merely] an anecdotal assertion from the health care industry and it's paid representatives and congresspersons, the reality is that some people do come here from around the world for treatment - they do not, however, come to our neighborhood doctors and hospitals.
