A Capital Idea Part 2: We Are All in This Together, Economically
"Only when the last tree has died and the last river been poisoned and the last fish been caught will we realise we cannot eat money." ~ Cree Indian Proverb. (From Thom Hartmann via David Walker)
Wouldn't that put a notch in Arpaio's belt to arrest the President when he visits Arizona? I'm just guessing Arpaio is a birther. I just looked at Jan Brewers website and see a nomination form for the Golden Rule Citizen the first paragraph reads -- "As a Golden Rule state, I am pleased to present a program that positively recognizes those who “treat others the way you would like to be treated” and who make a difference in Arizona." I don't think she would be eligible! OOPS!
Comcast changed me from Norton to McAfee and now I can't see any of my old posts or get beyond what may be a false HTTP security warning (both Yes and No = No).
I want to think a little about the concept of small government versus big government. Some people speak of wanting to keep the government small. I think it is possible to have a strong, small government, just as it is possible to have a large, weak government.
Before this new law was even signed a case came up that shows what might become commonplace. I heard on the Michelangelo Signorile show about an American Citizen truck driver who was arrested at a truck stop and taken in handcuffs because he did not have his birth certificate with him. His commercial driver’s license which is vetted by the Department of Transportation as well as the state was not an adequate form of ID.

The right wing fundie nutjobs are so obsessed over gay marriages that they seem to gloss over some really wierd hanky panky that comes right out of the bible. We expose this in the video.
When will the progressives in this country start calling a spade a spade?...selfish people suck! No political party affiliation required. No financial status limitation. No religous, racial, or sexual orientation bias. Selfish patrons of our democracy are sucking the life out of our society. No other explanation exists for what is happening. Why not use the label to campaign for democratic principles.
