the right to die is another example of the right wing hypocracy. they claim they stand for individual freedom, and limited government. yet they want the government to decide when you can die (assisted end to life) whether or not you should have a baby (abortion rights) and who you should marry (gay marraige rights)!

Thank goodness, I did enough research, having read an objective account of ownership in certain areas of the country, to never have purchased a home. I get a great deal on the rental of a condo on a beatufully kept campus.

When will the arrest of Toyota be televised. I believe that since it is a person, 34 deaths qualifies them as a serial killer. I demand the death penalty.

To expand on the double mortgage question:
Have equity credit line and mortgage in Michigan, both originally from Countrywide, now Bank of America. Purchased new home in Ohio because of work. Job in Ohio has fallen through and now unemployed. House in Michigan is in final stages of foreclosure. What is my responsibility on Michigan house?

I do not remember talking about anyuthing for which would segway into anything that would regard high school with money though. Still not making the connection. Not that it would be the first time :)

I wanted to shed some light on what I think that caller was referring to when she talked about disassociating yourself with your legal or strawman identity. I believe she was referring to trusts and IPC's, Inviable Private Contracts. IPC's and IBC's, International Business Company, are essential legal instruments of UBO's, UBT's, and MBT's. These are Unincorporated Business Organizations, Unincorporated Business Trusts, and Massachusetts Business Trusts. My business partner came to me, gung-ho about this new business model, about a year ago. He hadn't done his research. I took a month and thoroughly researched these trusts. The UBO is essentially the most legally complex tax dodge scheme known to man. It is predicated on the clause in Article I, Section 10 of the Constitution referring to the obligation of contracts. You basically create the organization as a series of IPC's and IBC's. One places a lien on the other. The other makes payments to the former. Because of the right of first something or other codified in Common Law, no one can sue you and seize personal assets. You cannot be taxed on your property, because you don't own anything in name and have draconian liens that you've actually placed on yourself through the organization. It's a scam.
In regards to trusts and disassociating yourself from your strawman identity, it's just a scam. Disassociate yourself all you want, you are who you are, the law knows who you are, you have legal obligations, and the law will find you. You cannot go off the grid as appealing as it may be.

re: parents dying: when my mother was dying, I told the nurse to just keep her comfortable. Luckily, that was all that was needed. She died without pain.

There are many interpretations of the bible. If there were a Jesus party, the ones who would be in control would be the most politically powerful. This among other reasons (IE: not everyone is Christian) is the reason the Founders chose to seperate church and state (to create freedom of religion).. I wish liberals, like Thom and Berne, to be in power, no matter what their religion, or lack of religion.

When people talk about global warming and energy, the discussion is always framed in terms of meeting the demand for energy. Meeting the demand for energy will always tip the scales in favor of nuclear energy (nutso idea because of the by product; and there is no "real" way to deal with this waste).. So, one more important thing people need to be talking about is using "less" resources in our daily lives..
RIDE A BIKE (the rest of this email):
I for one would love to bike ride to work (its 10 miles away).. I would be using less energy and getting exercise at the same time.. The singlular reason I have not started riding, is that the cars will run me down (AND IM NOT KIDDING)!.. I have to share the road with cars.. In a national park I had as car almost run me down and I told a cop who said I needed to ride on the side of the road (in the little strip with rocks and broken glass).. I also have been hot by vehicle mirrors while riding my bike.. I cannot emphasize enough, that you feel your mortality when on a bike, and a car zooms past you close enough to hit you with the mirror..
On a 7 mile stretch, of my possible bike route; they repaired the roads (Obamas put America to work initiative).. It was already a pretty good road though, and didnt really need repairing.. I was hoping the might add a place for bikes.. We got 2 wide lanes in each direction and a middle lane 100 percent dedicated for turning.. There are white lines on the side, leaving an area that might be for bikes, but I think this is just to mark the car lanes.. In any case with no street cleaners that area wuill remain unsuitable for bikes (because all the little rocks and broken glass end up there; and the cars still might run you down)..

Thought I should add some additional info to walking away. I am a Realtor and considered to be an REO expert. I list and sell foreclosed properties. First let me add some information on "Cash for Keys" Yes, the bank will consider this offer in most cases. The requirements are no damage, no trash or personal property left behind and broom swept clean condition. Also, states have differing laws, in Washington, where I am, and many other states the property is sold at auction to the highest bidder. If the bank is the highest it reverts back to the bank (they always have a minimum bid - sorry no one dollar properties) if a third party or investor purchases the property you will not hear from an agent with cash for keys. I would suggest you attend the auction to see who buys it. If the bank gets it back be polite to the agent, the agent is the eyes and ears for the bank and can be your best friend for now. If your home has a distressed value of $200,000 it is unlikely you will not be able to negotiate over $2,000 normally there is a 1% maximum, but could be less. Keep in mind the banks are not stupid, greedy yes - stupid no, and they have done this numerous times. Next, before you walk away or consider a "deed in lieu of foreclosure", it may be better to try a short sale. It will keep the foreclosure of your credit report, but not the late pays. One comment about short sales, they are a pain in the back side for everyone, the seller, the agents and the bank, but give it a try if possible. Next talk to an attorney, remember the acronym "CYA". I could continue for hours with details, but since I am currently working 10 to 12 hour days 7 days a week, just don't have much time. I will, to the best of my ability, answer any questions anyone has or help you find an agent with short sale expertise in your area. Living free for months and cash for keys may sound good, but preserving your credit should be considered. If you choose foreclosure or walking away, I really can't complain since it is a chance for me to get a pay check. I am after all an REO (real estate owned by bank) agent and very good at it. As I said I am very busy and likely to stay that way for the next few years. I am in Washington State just North of Portland Oregon, but have agent freinds in most states with experience that may be able to help. This is free and I will never charge for answers, giving back is just part of good business citizenship. Lastly, I lean to the left, but many good agents do not, so no guarantees on other agents poitics. I guess we practice poiltical "Don't ask don't tell" LOL.

It's Friday so this comment about a discussion on Wednesday is not as timely as I would have liked.
I listened to the gentleman whose website offers ways for people to walk away from their mortgages.
Encouraging people to walk away from a debt they freely entered into represents to me a seminal change in our culture. I was raised to accept personal responsibility for my actions. This discussion implied that people should feel no guilt about walking away from a commitment.
I understand that people lose their jobs through no fault of their own and cannot pay their bills. They should be provided all the help we can however there were many people who freely accepted variable rate mortgages and purchased homes that they simply could not afford and when the rates adjusted they were in trouble.
That fact that people gambled and lost when the value of their homes declined does not make it acceptable to simply stop making payments on a debt they incurred.
This new age, guilt free society we have would not be recognizable to previous generations.
