A Strong Friendship

I am going to share with you some information. There were two men and their names were Joe and John. They became close friends because they both loved baseball. Detroit was where they lived and they would see as many games as possible. If they traveled to another city, it had to be a city that had baseball, such Cleveland with the Cleveland Indians.

Over the winter Joe died. John was lonely and saddened. John prayed to God and he asked God to see Joe one more time. John had a question to ask Joe. God answered John’s prayer. Joe appeared to John. John asked Joe, “If there was baseball in heaven?” Joe had a big smile on his face. Joe said to John that the good news was that there is baseball in heaven. John was very happy. Joe also said to John that the bad news is, “John, you are pitching on Friday.”

Ethics and Morals

I am approaching my seventy-first birthday and I have through the years talked to different people. Recently, I heard a person mention his father. The son and his dad went fishing. The bass season was about to begin. They went on the lake in the evening. The son landed the biggest bass he has ever seen. The father looked at his watch and it was 10 PM. The bass season was to start at midnight. The father told the son to return the bass to the lake. No one would have known that the bass was caught two hours before the official start of the bass season. The son has always remembered this experience. The father said to his son to do what was right.

Do you honestly believe that the fathers in the WH, in the U.S. Congress, and in the U.S. Supreme Court are teaching their children to do what is right? What kind of messages are they conveying to their children? We have lunatics and scoundrels running our D.C. asylums.

Thom's Blog Is On the Move

Hello All

Thom's blog in this space and moving to a new home.

Please follow us across to hartmannreport.com - this will be the only place going forward to read Thom's blog posts and articles.

From Screwed:
"The powers that be are running roughshod over the powers that OUGHT to be. Hartmann tells us what went wrong — and what you and I can do to help set American right again."
Jim Hightower, National Radio Commentator, Writer, Public Speaker, and author of the bestselling Thieves in High Places
From Screwed:
"Hartmann speaks with the straight talking clarity and brilliance of a modern day Tom Paine as he exposes the intentional and systematic destruction of America’s middle class by an alliance of political con artists and outlines a program to restore it. This is Hartmann at his best. Essential reading for those interested in restoring the institution that made America the envy of the world."
David C. Korten, author of The Great Turning and When Corporations Rule the World
From Screwed:
"I think many of us recognize that for all but the wealthiest, life in America is getting increasingly hard. Screwed explores why, showing how this is no accidental process, but rather the product of conscious political choices, choices we can change with enough courage and commitment. Like all of Thom’s great work, it helps show us the way forward."
Paul Loeb, author of Soul of a Citizen and The Impossible Will Take a Little While
