Eli Zaretsky in the Tikkun Daily, June 12, 2010, writes an article that caring Americans must read. The title of the article is "The Meaning of the Oil Spill." I am now ready to say that Obama is the equivalent of a Chicago mobster. Obama is a corporatist!!!

Here are two great articles from Tikkun Daily, May 30, 2010, "The Man of Reason?" by Eli Zaretsky and June 3, 2010, "2.5 Trillion and Counting" by Craig Wiesner.

Apparently Obama lost health care for unemployed Americans and yet we bail out crooks and thieves in our financial institutions with billions of dollars. The United States of Hell DISGUSTS ME.

If I have previously posted this article, please forgive me. It is too important of an article not to read.

I do not know if Alan Grayson will be re-elected in November, but I respect his work. He reveals to me a profile in courage. Thank you Alan!!!

Whenever Obama speaks, I am starting to experience the dry heaves.

I want a FAIR tax proponent to explain to me how their proposal is more fair than making the tax truly flat. Every man woman and child should pay the same amount, just like buying a ticket to see a movie. Those unable to pay can get loans from the private sector. Of course because of the risk individuals should expect to pay higher than normal interest rates, above 30% would not surprise me. If we are going to be fair, we should not go half-way.

Thom,

I recently had surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff. I had a most unpleasant month, but four month post-op I have 100% range of motion and no pain. I did physical therapy for about six months before I finally gave in and had the surgery and three days a week after one month post-op. Now, I tore my rotator cuff when I was playing college baseball, many years ago, so there was no doubt in my mind that I had a muscle injury that needed surgery to repair. Sitting in a chair typing day after day became torture for me. It is my experience that only an operation can alleviate the discomfort of a torn shoulder muscle. If you had an MRI, you should have been able to see the tear, if it exists. I believe you would have to take about two weeks off, mostly because it is so difficult to get comfortable at night. Now, I am glad I had the surgery, two months ago, I wasn't so sure. I am 70 years ode, but I am in very good shape, so I heal rather quickly. I believe you would also heal well in a relatively short time. I concur that surgeons are an odd bunch. They underestimate recovery time and seem oblivious to patient levels of pain and discomfort, but the best of them do extraordinary work.

Best of luck. I do research in aging and can be reached at doctorgeorgeshannon@gmail.com, if you would like to discuss this further.

"No one communicates more thoughtfully or effectively on the radio airwaves than Thom Hartmann. He gets inside the arguments and helps people to think them through—to understand how to respond when they’re talking about public issues with coworkers, neighbors, and friends. This book explores some of the key perspectives behind his approach, teaching us not just how to find the facts, but to talk about what they mean in a way that people will hear."
