I have concern over the giddiness being expressed by many on the left regarding the "tea party" primary victories. The big money on the right is supporting these candidates. Come the election this fall, when we voters are complaining about incumbents, the Republicans can portray themselves as a new party--taken over by the will of the people. They will tell voters that the choice is between the same old Democrats, or the new Republican party.

Rove is laughing as he criticizes Christine O'Donnell.

Golly, short memories on both side of the aisle . . . Senator Dodd was screwed by the DLC White House when he was asked to be point man on TRAP add-in legislation. Dodd was ratted out by the White House THEN the Progressives moved to run a candidate to his Left. Dodd announced his retirement rather than become a total lame-duck because of the battle for the seat.

Dodd has spent the last 18 months looking to ensure that he will be able to feed his young re-tread wife and two young kids by pandering to business . . .

I would like to register my vote for Shannyn Moore to be the only substitute that Thom uses. This is the first time that one of Thom's guest hosts has been able to keep my attention. Kudos (no pun intended) to Shannyn! She had good guests and thoughtful discussions. It's better than listening to Thom take on right-wing callers and/or pour over the minutia of the Birthers. Like the show earlier in the week.
