Under Republican rule most Americans will face a lifetime of misery.

Screaming
I awoke from a deep sleep on October 24, 2010 at 4:00 AM. I was screaming from a nightmare that I had just experienced. My nightmare revealed the slaughter of Democrats at the midterm elections on November 2, 2010. I saw before me an old fashion alley mugging where the Democrats had the crap beat out of them. I awoke in a cold sweat. My pajamas were drenched in sweat and two towels were required before I could dry off. The first towel was saturated in sweat and the second towel was able to dry me. I could not lie back in bed because the sheets were damp from the sweat. I changed my pajamas and I found a comfortable chair for my sleep. I cried myself to sleep with the realization that I had experienced the demise of the Democratic Party from my vivid nightmare.

Faithful Citizenship
This midterm election in 2010 seems to be an awakening of the Catholic Church and the evils of Republicans and some Democrats. My Church seems also giving an effort to unshackle herself from the Republicans that has bound the Church for the past sixty years.
There has been an emphasis that as Catholics we are not single-issue voters. A candidate’s position on a single issue is not sufficient to guarantee a voter’s support. There are many issues to consider in voting. Is the candidate called to serve the common good? By voting for the common good we need to be focused on what is best for everyone. Here are some issues that are important to Catholics – global arms trade, human rights, jobs, minimum wage, nuclear disarmament, poverty, religious freedom, war, and workers’ rights. As Catholics, we vote for the common good because it is at the core of our Faith.
“You men and women in public life, called to serve the common good, exclude no one from your concerns; take special care of the weakest sectors of society.” – John Paul II, World Day of Peace, 1997
“Our human interdependence is not a feeling of vague compassion of shallow distress at the misfortunes of so many people, both near and far. On the contrary, it is a firm and persevering determination to commit oneself to the common good; that is to say to the good of all and of each individual, because we are all really responsible for all.” – Pope John Paul, 1989
“Personally, I say that we must attempt to do the greatest good for the greatest number of people.” - Gerald

Prayer for Faithful Citizenship
Loving Father, as the citizens of our state and nation prepare to make decisions about candidates and issues, inspire them with your heavenly wisdom that they act in accord with well-formed consciences, choosing to vote for who and what upholds the dignity of human life and the welfare of the common good.
Give us good leaders, Lord, and help us all to be good citizens and good Christians, respectful and honest, committed and generous, living in accord with the Gospel of your Son, Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

I believe Americans should seek skilled trades. There are community colleges and technical schools that offer quality skilled trades of various interests to the students.

I'm sure that the prosecution of Cheney, Bush, et al would go a very long way to improve our image throughout the world.
