What Congress does when we're not watching...

While the media was focused on Chris Christie and “Bridge-gate”, Congress moved closer to accepting a massive, international trade agreement. On Thursday, a bipartisan group of U.S. Senators proposed legislation to give the Obama Administration the power to fast-track the Trans Pacific Partnership and other controversial trade deals. The White House welcomed the fast-track proposal, and issued a statement saying, “We need to use every tool we have to knock down trade barriers.”
If this legislation passes, the President could push through the TPP and other deals, and Congress would only get an up or down vote on whether or not to approve them. The TPP is the largest of these proposed deals, as it includes the U.S. and 11 Pacific Rim nations, and nearly all of its provisions have been negotiated in secret. The few sections of the TPP that have been leaked have exposed the danger of this trade deal – to our jobs, our environment, our civil rights, and even our national sovereignty. This massive trade agreement would even allow mega-corporations to challenge U.S. regulations that stand in the way of their unending greed.
We don't need free trade, which drives down wages and sends more American jobs over seas, we need fair trade. And, we certainly don't need to give corporations any more power to put profit over people. Congress must never give up their power to debate and amend trade agreements, and they must stop the Trans Pacific Partnership from destroying our jobs, our civil rights, and our national sovereignty.

RMann, you needn't convince me that FOX is garbage. What turned me against Obama wasn't FOX; it was Obama himself. I used to assume kill lists were the work of mafia thugs, not presidents. Yes people are hurting; if Obama really gave a damn about people hurting, he wouldn't be trying to fast-track the TPP. If he gets his way with that, you ain't seen nothin' yet. We'll be in for a world of hurt, like none of us have seen in our lifetimes.

Chucky: That may have worked once but do you seriously think it would work again? And by the way, that was accompanied by lots of violent unrest in the nation...they never really give up anything unless that happens.
After all, voters believed that Obama would change the second term and represent them so they voted for him...and he had a majority in Congress...what did they do? They let the Republicants run all over them. Bad bad Republicants! Shame on you!
I suspect that even if the President was a Democrat and 100% of Congress were Democrats...we still would not see an improvement in representation of the 99%. They'd still sell us out to the 1%. They would just not have anyone they could blame like they do now. They both play the blame game while screwing us all.
I believe that the ruling elite know that most people abhor Repulicants and so their strategy is to make them so repugnant that people will rush to voting for the Democrats. The Democrats are part of the illusion...they are part of the problem...they too are owned by the ruling elite and once elected will continue to do their master's bidding. And they'll continue to blame the Republicans or some other stupid thing...maybe aliens? ;-}
These people know what game they are playing. And despite their public appearances, they wine and dine and rub elbows at fancy parties together...wasting more taxpayer dollars. A wink wink here...a wink wink there...here a wink...there a wink...everywhere a wink wink! Maybe that should be oink oink?
The whole ruse is to keep people believing that there is a chance for change without the people resorting to more radical actions. They'll promise us anything but they will give us Hell. (Promise her anything, but give her Prell...I know...old commercial!)

chuckle8 ~ Before 1856 the only two parties were the Democrats and the Whigs. The Whig party went the way of the dinosaurs and disintegrated. Out of the ashes was born the Republican party we know today. They rallied around a young and charismatic, hot-shot candidate by the name of Abraham Lincoln and took the White House in the following election. The name Whig party has been long forgotten. It just goes to show what can happen when a party loses touch with it's base. Nothing is impervious to the winds of change.

That may very well be so...when dealing with the unknown...people often project ideas of what they have been subjected to throughout their lives...onto the unexplainable. After about another 20 minutes the electronics came back and after about an hour the captain got on the speaker system and told the crew that everything that happened was classified and that they were not to talk about it to anyone. Well, of course, many of the crew members had already talked about it and they even talked to sailors of other ships that monitored the incidence on radar.

I was stationed in Norfolk at about that time when the JFK was in port and I knew someone on that ship that I visited. I never heard anything then about a UFO...but I don't know if I was there before or after the incident.
It's funny though because some people have been known to see the Virgin Mary in tree stumps and tortillas. But, I'd find someone who saw some phenomena who may attribute it to an extraterrestrial encounter far more reliable than someone who thinks they see the Virgin Mary in tree stumps. But then, that's me. I know other people are just the opposite.

Palindromedary ~ I don't really care what anyone says they saw. When more than one person says they saw the same thing that always lends tremendous credibility to the story. The more people the more credibility. That is why the Arizona lights and the miracle of Fatima are probably the two best UFO sighting in history. Both were witnessed by thousands of people. One had spiritual overtones; yet, both are quite credible. Be it little green men from Alpha Centauri, the Virgin Mary in a cloud, or a flying spaghetti monster riding a pocadotted unicorn across a rainbow, if you got thousands of eye witnesses you have to give it the benefit of the doubt. Always, the most credibility goes with what I see and hear with my own eyes and ears. Everything else merely warrants further investigation.

DAnneMarc: I pretty much agree with what you say. When many, or even thousands, of people simultaneously witness something it is very probable that they really did see something. But just how they interpret what they see depends a lot upon what they expect to see based upon a life long exposure to whatever ideas they grew up with. Just like that boatswains mate on that ship believed it was the 2nd coming and the end of the world. Poor guy was very distraught and had to be put on meds to calm him down. The others who saw it may have had ideas of UFOs or whatever. And really, no one knows what it was. But it's clear that the military didn't want it to be public. Why not?
This is a very strong pattern...all throughout this UFO phenomenon...they try to shut people up with threats. If there is nothing to this than why would they go to such lengths to shut people up?

But I'd say that people who actually witness things have to have more credibility than someone like Philip Klass, a well known skeptic and "debunker", who has never seen anything yet imposes his aura of faux superiority over all those many people and claims that they did not see what they all claimed to have seen. And that really goes for any of us.
Unless one actually experiences it...one cannot really claim they know more than the people who do actually experience it. But, of course they will still try to make sense of what they read, hear, or see in videos (ie: second hand exposure) in terms they are comfortable with.
Someone who doesn't believe in religious things will not interpret what they've seen in religious terms. Someone who does believe in religious things will. Someone who believes in the possibility of UFOs will likely see evidence of UFOs. Philip Klass sees swamp gas and the planet Venus..but that is only in his mind's eye...I doubt he would see those things if ever he actually witnessed some of the things he tries to debunk.

Some people, largely skeptics, believe that the UFO phenomena is merely a new age religion. It might be for some people...but maybe not for others. Despite all of the known stories, photos, and videos... lots of people refuse to entertain the idea of UFOs. In one of those csetiweb videos it showed a short film footage of a bunch of UFOs flying over the Capitol building in Washington DC back in..I believe it was the 50s or early 60s. Looked like there were about 7 or 8 of them..maybe more flying in formation.
Some people believe that the reason why the government is fighting acknowledgement of UFOs is because of their fear of the public reaction...using what happened when Orson Wells did that "War of the Worlds" broadcast on radio in 1939 and many people didn't catch the warnings that it was just a dramatization and not a real news flash. People thought it was a real invasion of Earth by Martians and went nuts...some people were out shooting cows thinking they were Martians.
Another reason is that maybe our government, and a number of companies, are using the extraterrestrials to gain technology from them in exchange, possibly, for some consideration of reciprocity. Maybe the story of hybridization is true.
Some people say that if these ETs are so advanced in their technology then why all the crashes...our radar systems tend to cause them to crash? Good question...maybe they aren't all that powerful after all. Or maybe there are other ETs that are not as amenable to trade and are not as susceptible to our radars or anything else.
But then again, our government used mass hysteria to their advantage when they created the 9/11 false flag. That resulted in hysteria that they controlled and directed..resulted in pushing people to seek protection from the government.
If we all found out that extraterrestrials, obviously far advanced in technology than we are, ever invaded the Earth then it would show that our government or military is not in control and could not "protect" us.
It's one thing to set up a handful of Arabs as patsies and then, using our obviously superior military powers, to invade their countries and another when our military is far inferior to a more powerful alien force.
It would also have a detrimental effect on religion and even the economy. It could possibly be mass panic just like in 1929. Or, so some think...

Palindromedary ~ Thanks for those links. I've been busy but I finally got a chance to look at them. The Demon baby was very cute. A friend of mine tells me that clip is everywhere--even on TV. Those interviews were quite convincing. The only problem I have is that they are all from the same source, the Sirius project. It's probably nothing but I always prefer to have such information collaborated between different sources. Nevertheless, the credentials of the interviewees are impeccable.
Just wondering if you caught this little local story in Colorado? Have you heard anything about this phenomenon? Quite regular and quite strange. Also reproduced by the TV stations own cameras. This is definitely authentic.

Palindromedary ~ The "Miracle of Fatima" is a two layer event. It began when three young girls became entranced by what they described as a "angelic" lady. (Supposedly, The Blessed Virgin Mary as described in Revelations) She appeared to them on the 13th of every month for several months in a row. No one else saw the lady but many witnesses saw the children behaving very oddly when the visions happened. Their faces were said to glow. The lady gave the children messages and prophecies for the world. One of the prophecies was that a public miracle would be performed for all to see on a certain day, October 13, 1917. Over time the word spread about the children's experiences and on that day people gathered in a huge crowd. Though there were the faithful and clergy present there were also a vast number of skeptics and atheists.
What happened next was quite remarkable. According to the story the clouds parted and the sun appeared. The sun then began to grow as if it was getting closer. It spun around on itself and gave off sparks. The air got hotter and then the sun began a descent in a zigzag pattern until it struck the earth. This vision was seen by everyone present.
It would be hard to discount the girl's story because what they said would happen as they were told actually happened exactly as they were told. It is almost impossible to discount the eyewitness testimony of thousands of people as well. However, it is entirely within the realm of possibility that this was a UFO encounter of some kind. After all, what the people basically saw was a bright sphere approaching and landing on the horizon. Basically, that is the same description of most UFO encounters. What the children experienced is anyone's guess, however, several cases of encounters also talk about telepathic communications. I think it is important we keep an open mind with this UFO/Supernatural connection. It may not be entirely possible to figure this mystery out without serious consideration of both realms.

I certainly agree. It is silly to think that these ET's are being brought down by accident by any of our technology. In that ship encounter you mentioned it is the ET's that brought down our technology. Therefore, why the crashes? Well, if you look at Biblical prophecy there is a mention that at a certain time in the future (present), war will break out in heaven. What that might look like is up to your imagination. However, it is something to keep in mind that would certainly explain all these crashes. Perhaps also many of the radical sightings. Perhaps there is an interplanetary Galactic war going on; and, perhaps that is another reason why the government doesn't want us to know anything. Perhaps the government has entered into a secret treaty with whom they think we might just all agree is the wrong side. After all, they seem to be very good at doing just that. (Remember the stars on the Republican logo?)

That's true. However, the opposite is also true. That is, a full disclosure might have a very positive effect on religion. You are presuming that our government supports religion. I say they support false religion. I'm not sure if you've followed the documentary series on the History channel, "Ancient Aliens." They do a great job of reviewing scripture, legend, mythology, hieroglyphics, art, and ancient artifacts from the perspective that all these divine encounters may have actually been encounters from people from other planets. A most fascinating approach. If there is anything to this theory, alien visitation is a old as history. If that is truly the case, then it is more important than ever to take these ancient legends and artifacts seriously. Perhaps total disclosure on UFO's would reveal that God, or an ET higher intelligence, really exists in a way that people can easily understand. Belief based on fact is no longer faith. Henceforth, the end of the reign of false religions.
Once that revelation happens, everyone will believe and act accordingly. That world is not a very lucrative one for the practicers of greed and war profiting. Also, its not a very good one for ET's who want to identify all the humans who would chose to violate their code of conduct. The Bible tells us that in the end the Angels will spread out their nets to separate the wheat from the chaff. Give them enough rope and let them hang themselves so to speak. The revelation of God or any higher intelligence that has a strict code of ethics who might be setting such a trap would not profit from such a disclosure too soon either.
Hypothetically speaking, if our "soul" if you will is encoded in our DNA that would explain what Revelations means by The Book of Life. According to legend the names of everyone who ever lived is written in this book. Perhaps that is an ET database of all of our DNA sequences. If true, then perhaps the ET's are simply observing us. Basically checking out who is naughty and who is nice. That info gets collected into the book. In the end, the fire that destroys the chaff in the Bible may simply be the ET's deleting the DNA sequences of the naughty people. Everyone else left in the database can easily be cloned back into life. As Revelations says, "The second death has no power over them."
I know! That theory is pretty far out there. Yet, so are the ET's. Just another theory of what is going on. It has the benefit of explaining both science and religion in a way that I find palatable. This doesn't mean that I believe any of it. Like I said, I have an open mind and love to toss around these ideas.
The above theory is mine, not that of the program I mentioned earlier. I just used what I learned from it and my own studies to formulate the theory. By the way, if you haven't caught the series "Ancient Aliens" it's well worth the effort.

DAnneMarc: I used to watch the History channel all the time..they had programs on ET as well as other interesting things but I started to get the impression they were acting like the old 60s or 70s Project Bluebook dramatizations they had on TV that would build you up in the beginning just to crash you at the end. There was always a "logical" explanation at the end to make the viewer feel like they were foolish to have been taken in by non-sense. I suspected that this was part of the government program to debunk these things and to build up a mass psychological repulsion to anything that would challenge the official position.
