Should The 25th Amendment Be Invoked to Get Trump Out of Office - Due to His handling Of the Coronavirus?

Thom plus logo We are now all Seattle and New Rochelle. Two years ago, the Trump administration shut down the two high-level offices in the White House that were responsible for dealing with a pandemic. No longer exist.

Because of Trump's incompetence and hubris, his administration was unwilling to make the World Health Organization test kit, which was available all over the world in January, available anywhere in the United States. Thus, large parts of the United States are probably in a situation similar to Seattle and New Rochelle, or will be soon, but we don't know the details because the test kits are not available and have not been for months.

We need a national mobilization right now to prepare our hospitals and doctors offices for what is coming. We need easy and accessible testing in every community in America today. And because the Trump administration is unwilling to make this happen and is giving us happy talk, we all need to carefully re-calibrate our lives and avoid unnecessary exposure to crowds and public events.

Finally, Mike Pence, if he is actually listening to the health professionals around him, should convene the Cabinet and begin the process of invoking the 25th Amendment to get Trump out of office and protect our nation.

Thom, where were you when early on Trump"s travel ban on flights from China Feb 1. If you listened at all to his speech last night the government is working with other countries to contain this virus. The fact you choose not to listen to the daily press conferences from Pence and the CDC is your problem, not President Trump's.

Maybe the rabid lefties should have joined with President Trump in his effort from day one to have the uS become less dependent on China.

How is your 401K doing Tinhat?

In spring 2018 the Trump administration axed the executive branch team responsible for coordinating a response to a pandemic and did not replace it. The then National Security Advisor John Bolton "reorganized" the National Security Council removing the position of Rear Adm. Timothy Ziemer and disbanding his team. Tom Bossert, whom the Washington Post reported “had called for a comprehensive biodefense strategy against pandemics and biological attacks,” had been fired one month prior.

Unfortunately the current administration cannot be trusted to give accurate information.

Try reading https://medium.com/@tomaspueyo/coronavirus-act-today-or-people-will-die-f4d3d9cd99ca to get some idea of the real situation, or visit the WHO site.

For instance, the number of cases reported depends on the amount of testing. Failure to test makes the numbers look better, but hide an exponentially growing problem. It means there are more people who have the virus, whether they realise it or not, free to infect others. The Trump administration's extremely slow reaction to testing has made the problem far worse than it would otherwise have been.

Red States Vs Blue States - Let the Experiment Begin?

Thom plus logo Ever since the Reagan revolution, right wing billionaires have been pouring money into Red states to cement Republican control. Their big issue is how much they hate "socialism" including things like Medicaid, free college, and food and housing supports. Red states are heavily subsidized by federal tax money taken from Blue states.
