And even though she hasn't come out in favor of a carbon tax - she's light years ahead of any of the Republicans on climate change - just because she actually believes that it's happening - AND that humans are causing it. How can an entire party reject the reality of climate change? And what can we expect if any of the Republican candidates get into the White House?

Recent research from Matthew MacWilliams at the University of Massachusetts Amherst looked at the biggest predictors that someone would support Trump. What he found was surprising - Trump supporters are pretty well split in terms of gender - age - and education level. But what most Trump supporters had in common was that they are have authoritarian personalities. What’s surprising is that the rise of someone like Donald Trump had already been predicted back in 2009 in a book called "Authoritarianism and Polarization in American Politics." The book's authors concluded that the GOP's position as the party of "traditional values" and "law and order" had made it a magnet for authoritarian Americans from both parties - and that those Americans would eventually gain real power in the GOP. And that's the harsh reality that Mitt Romney and the other establishment Republicans are apparently just coming to grips with

The Bad! Bill Clinton. In Massachusetts - the law is clear that with 150 feet of a polling place - no one is allowed to "solicit votes for or against, or otherwise promote or oppose, any person or political party or position on a ballot question.” Bill Clinton either doesn't know that law - or just doesn't care - based on this video on YouTube showing Bill outside a polling place in New Bedford Massachusetts. According to reports - he appeared at at least three more polling places throughout the state. There's still questions about how this impacted the results on Tuesday night. But this is pretty bad even if it didn't impact the outcome - and Bill Clinton's a blatant disregard of election law made people wait for hours before they could cast their vote.

Wasserman Schultz is currently co-sponsoring a bill that would gut the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau by delaying new payday lending rules by two years - and it would nullify the rules in any state that has its own payday lending law - like her state of Florida. The CFPB was a major accomplishment for progressives - why is the chair of the DNC attacking it?
