The Protester Who Heckled Trump During the Debate Is Here...

Kai Newark, 99Rise/Democracy Spring & Zephyr Teachout, MAYDAY.US/Fordham University both join Thom. One of the few moments of sanity in Tuesday's debate was when a protestor interrupted Trump to call for free and fair elections. Who was that man and what changes does he want to see in the American political system? We'll ask him…Tune in.

How Corporate America and the Fed Blew It

The Fed announced yesterday that the economy is doing well enough that it's raising interest rates for the first time in nearly a decade. I'll tell you why this rate hike marks the end of an incredible opportunity for the American economy - and why Reagan's to blame.

The Bern Identity - A Search for Bernie

Will Bunch, The Bern Identity: A Search For Bernie Sanders and the New American Dream/Philadelphia Daily News, join Thom. Bernie Sanders has won yet another big time union endorsement - this time from the Communication Workers of America. With just a few months until primary season - does this mean that there's hope yet for his political revolution?

Two Corporate Criminals Tying the Knot?

America's Lawyer Mike Papantonio, Ring of Fire Radio, joins Thom. Dow and Dupont - two of America's largest companies - are set for a merger. Given their checkerd histories - shouldn't the Obama administration oppose this plan outright?

The Good, the Bad & the Very, Very Orecticly Ugly!

The Bad! Book-Banning Religious Parents. The last Harry Potter book was published in 2007 - and the last movie was released in 2011. The hyper-religious and anti-fiction fanatics have tried to get the books banned from schools and libraries ever since it was first published - and apparently - nothing has really changed in the last 18 years since the first book was published. The Telegraph reported yesterday that religious parents in the UK are complaining that Harry Potter glorifies witchcraft - and so of course - they want it banned from classrooms. There’s more….

The Spending Bill Guts Food Safety - Prepare to Get Sick!

Curtis Ellis, Obamatrade.com & American Jobs Alliance, joins Thom. On Tuesday night - Speaker of the House Ryan announced that he had reached a deal with congressional leaders over a massive $1.1 trillion spending bill. The so-called omnibus bill funds the government through September 2016 and -will prevent another government shutdown if it passes. But while that's all well and good - there are serious problems with this omnibus bill because it's chock full of Republican-promoted policy riders - all of them bad. One such controversial policy rider would undermine America's Country of Origin Labeling laws - or COOL - which require meat sold in the US to have labels telling consumers where it comes from.

Who Is Ripping Off Our Students on Loans?

Sarah Badawi, Progressive Change Campaign Committee(PCCC), join Thom. For the 7 million Americans in default on their student loans - life can be a nightmare. They have to deal with debt-collectors calling them at any hour on any day of the week - as well as the ever-looming threat that one day they won't be able to pay their bills. They also have to deal with the shame of getting their wages garnished. Of course - for the for-profit private companies who've managed to get their hands on the student loan revenue stream - this is a big-time money-making opportunity. They already earn fees for various types of loan repayments - and continue to soak in the cash even when a borrower goes into default. Welcome to the insanity of the American education system - which is almost completely unique in the developed world in making students - our intellectual infrastructure - go into debt to go to college. Luckily - progressives all across the country are joining up to try and make debt-free college a reality right here in America.

A recent poll from Quinnipiac shows that Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders would beat every single Republican in a general election - and that he would do better in each potential matchup than Hillary Clinton would.
