He’s also been very outspoken on issues like poverty and social justice - even going so far as to call unregulated capitalism the ”dung of the devil” that “condemns and enslaves men and women.” The Pope has based his attacks on unregulated capitalism on the Gospel itself - in which Jesus famously said that it's easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God. This - of course - is pretty awkward for Republicans.
