Scott Walker - the current Wisconsin governor and Koch candidate for the presidency - stopped at a local pizza shop in New Hampshire yesterday. He was greeted by what appeared to be a group of supporters asking to take a picture with the candidate while they held a sign that said "Walker 4 President." But when it came time to take the picture - the would-be supporter turned the sign around to reveal a 9 hundred million check from the Koch brothers. The man holding the sign - Tyler McFarland - then told Walker "I'd like to present you with this check from the Koch brothers for climate denial."

Yesterday evening - Senate Democrats blocked from moving forward a bill that would have stripped the women's health organization of all of the $500 million it in aid from the federal government. The debate surrounding the measure was contentious - but if one person stole the show it was Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren - who gave a blistering speech defending Planned Parenthood from right-wing smears. After listing off a number of recent examples of Republican attempts to block access to reproductive health - she got down to the bottom of what the push to defund Planned Parenthood was really all about. Take a look...

Politics Panel P1 - Waiting Until the Fall for Democratic Debates is Crazy!

Gianno Caldwell, Caldwell Strategic Consulting & Sarah Badawi, Progressive Change Campaign Committee (PCCC) & Brian Darling, Third Dimension Strategies Plus, Special Guests: Richard Eskow, Campaign for America's Future/The Zero Hour (radio) & Brendan Fischer, The Center for Media & Democracy/ALEC Exposed all join Thom. Why is Debbie Wasserman Schultz - the chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee - waiting until the fall to hold the first Democratic debates? With all this Republican crazy talk floating around - wouldn't it be a good idea to get a Democratic response out there sooner rather than later? Wouldn't it make sense to let Bernie Sanders - Hillary Clinton - Martin O'Malley - Jim Webb - and Lincoln Chafee - confront Republican talking points head on? Wouldn't it be good for the party - and the issues it says it cares about - to debunk Republican lies BEFORE - not after - the catch on? Or is protecting Hillary Clinton just too important to care about any of that?

For tonight's Green Report - we head out to Portland - Oregon -where on Thursday - with the group Greenpeace USA staged one of the most remarkable acts of civil disobedience in recent memory. Hanging from the St. John's Bridge and paddling under it through the waters of the Willamrtte River- they blocked a ship called the Fennica from making its way north to the Arctic ocean. The Fennica is what's known as an icebreaker ship - and its final destination was an oill drilling site in the Chukchi sea off the coast of Alaska - a fragile region that's just been reopened for oil exploration by the Obama administration. On Friday - the Fennica finally made it through the Greenpeace blockade - but activists are staying positive. They say that the 36 hour delay they added to the ship's schedule was a victory in and of itself.
