What’s more, after the pollsters provided more information about Canova to likely voters, Wasserman Schultz’ lead was reduced to just three points, 43 percent to 40 percent.” How important of a symbolic (and real life) victory would a Tim Canova victory be for the emerging progressive Berniecrat movement?

Last week - another federal appeals court struck down several major provisions of North Carolina's voter suppression laws writing that "In essence, … the State took away [minority voters'] opportunity because [they] were about to exercise it. ... This bears the mark of intentional discrimination. Isn’t all of this proof of why we need Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act re-instated? How can we fight back over the next 99 days to make sure that voter suppression doesn't tip elections in favor of the Republicans.
