How about evil corporations like Monsanto stealing farmers land?
See green960.com podcast Organic Conversations to hear Percy Schmeiser's latest speech at the Eco Farm Organic Farm Conference. And of course, the documentary shot by Jerry Garcia's widow, I should say, The Future of Food.
"Citizens United" seems rather a contradiction in terms, since polls suggest that they "united" relatively few "citizens" behind their support of declaring corporations "persons."
Corporations will use their money to drown out all other voices. Networks will drive up the price to advertise to the point that only corporations can afford.
David Bossie is misrepresenting his case. The court documents clearly say the FEC had no problem with his commercials. His case hinged on whether broadcasting on pay-per-view was a violation. The SCOTUS overstepped the boundaries of the initial case.
If this Dave from Citizens United was really smart, he would just agree with Thom. Instead, he is revealing that he might have been involved in the outcome of the ruling, by defending the ruling.
The issue is that the Supreme Court ruled on something other than your question. They ruled that Corporations now own the government, Corporations now own the people > slavery.
I had an accountant one year do my taxes for me. He was not sure how to handle a 1099 from me as having served as a contractor. At the end of the year, sure enough the IRS came. I called them to ask for a payment plan. The lady was so friendly. Sure! she said. You can pay 50% this month and 50% next month............... those were two tough months I tell you.
@Bobbee Thom is exposing the ugliness of these people to us. Democrats need to learn to identify these people and model confronting them. He is doing what Gandhi did. Eventually, they will see what pricks they are themselves. It's one strategy. Surely there are more.
All these interviewees have multiple fora and chances to be heard on corporate media. I have no interest in listening to what they have to say, having been deluged with propaganda from these types, so am tuning out as soon as I finish this message. I assume one of Thom's goals in attending these cult meetings is to let them know at least one person disagrees with them, but for what change or gain?
Health care interview: These are questions our founders decided when they fought the British. It has been decided that we will have a government. Google is made up of people. The government is made up of _________ martians?
These people are speaking sense to their target audience. If you totally abandon your responsibility to the greater good of society and direct all your efforts to personal gain you would get the message.

@KMH: yes and no.
Did the building remain standing or did it collapse like a pancake.

Is the FBI going to raid his home for TEA Party literature?
BREAKING NEWS: Note posted by man linked to plane crash shows anger at IRS - from Austin American-Statesman
@ harry - My thoughts exactly. Taking back his country.
@Charles: my first guess would be a rich, white, racist Texan. (And PLEASE don't say that's redundant!)
@ harry - Let's hope the pilot is not Arabic or Persian or African or ... I guess what I'm saying is I hope the pilot is white.

Thom,
I am thinking it might be easier to infiltrate the Republican Party.
