Firs, he had a loyal corps of ignorant White Trash who adored him. They loved to see him slap down the smart kids who had so humiliated them for so long.
Second, the DNC tried to lose by tilting the scales for the most despised woman in America. And DNC insiders still have the attitude that they know best and must keep the hoi polloi from making decisions. Their current revival of Cold War propaganda with "the Russians did it" is both laughable and disgusting.
The removal of the confederate monuments in New Orleans is long overdue. In fact, all such monuments celebrating the confederacy should be removed along with all State flags that have the St. Andrews Cross because they are disguised confederate battle flags. On this Memorial Day it should be remembered that the finest army this country ever raised and arguably the finest army in history was Abraham Lincoln’s Union army.

WASHINGTON -- Congressional Republicans greeted President Trump's first full budget on Tuesday with open hesitation or outright hostility.
But it was not clear that they could come up with an alternative that could win over conservatives and moderates while clearing a path for the tax cuts and policies they have promised for years.
The budget battle ahead mirrors the continuing health care fight in which concessions to Republican moderates alienate conservatives, while overtures to conservatives lose moderate votes.
Kansas Gov. Brownback's experiment in tax-cuts-for-the-rich-austerity-for-the-poor has been a demonstrable failure.* Yet, this fact gets little attention as our leaders herd us toward a tinderbox that could become the next American Revolution. Instability is not good for anyone: not for the wealthy, corporations, small businesses, the middle class, and especially not the poor.
Two years ago, the LOML (my new husband) shocked the family and his doctor (who said he had heartburn--but that's ANOTHER story)--by having 2 heart attacks in 2 weeks, as well as two stent placements. We actually have decent health insurance, and eventually found out that they covered something like $250,000 in claims for the two hospital stays (each less than a week). Day after day we got tiny "we paid your benefit" notices for things like $75. John was on disability for a year, and our life was upended. We just stopped opening the darned things. Fast forward one year.
In case you haven't noticed, everything Trump has done since taking office, or plans to do has been about OIL - for the benefit of the OIL and GAS industry, and COAL.
Now he's over in Saudi Arabia, one of the biggest oil producers in the world, and has said things to isolate, and threaten Iran, another oil producer. He and Tillerson are also making "deals" with the Saudis. Are they deals that would bolster the OIL and GAS industries?
