The Habs? Well, I grew up with a great history.. Didn't the Mets win the world series.. a long time before Toronto did? ;-)

@Harry & Rick -

So far, the Canadiens have lost ONE of (up to) seven games. They're not out of anything yet. The funny thing about this series is that when I was kid, the Canadiens ALWAYS went into the playoffs with a hot, new, young goalie - which is what the Flyers have this year!

BTW - Does anyone else ever recall a situation where in a playoff like this, the two lowest seeds (#'s 7 & 8 in the Eastern Conference) wound up battling for the conference championship? I sure don't!

@mstaggerlee, nope, I'm recommending you for the new camps they're building. It'll be a lovely vacation for you, and apparently education is a big part of the curriculum. In fact education is so important they have something called.... lets see... oh yeah Re-Education. I think that's where they repeat everything to you until it sinks in, and oh look at this they also have a work program too, how nice. Looks like you'll get to spend some time on beaches working with new chemicals... awesome, what can be better than soaking up some sun and doing something that will impact the environment. Oh the really special part of this, they'll see to it that your vacation will last as long as necessary for you to get the full benefit. Hmmm and it appears that all guests will get a free Tattoo, I think they use it to make sure you don't get lost from camp, that's cool.

Not sure what this next of kin form is all about, guess they need emergency contact info.

@harry -

Yeah, - well, ideally, that's what's SUPPOSED to happen ... the brakets are set up so that the top seed CAN face the 2nd seed in the finals.

@maxnels - Shouldn't that be re-ejimication? Maybe YOU need to come to camp with me , pal! ;-)

BTW - you're lucky I'm here today ... the internazis here at my office took the network here down on Friday afternoon to install some alleged "upgrades". I was sure that they were gonna be soemthing to sniff out & shut down streaming applications, which would mean I wouldn't be able to listen live in the office - and if you can't listen live, you can't very well blog live, can ya?

But here I am, and streaming still works. :-) FYI - I PLAN to be out tomorrow, for a medical procedure. See y'all on Wednesday (I hope ...)

@mstaggerlee, who says I'm not going to camp. I'm enrolling as one of the "Hospitality Coordinators", apparently we get sub-machine guns, probably to protect the campers from wild animals, in fact the barbed wire around the camp should pretty much do that, but I guess you can't be too safe. I think the camp motto is really uplifting, I'm told its a translation from an old German phrase... "Work Will Make You Free". Isn't that just inspiring?

I suppose there will be a diet program too, the person I talked to on the phone said something about them being a fasting group (though he pronounced fasting a bit funny, it sounded like he had an -isht at the end). I can stand to lose some weight so that's just marvelous. Oh and apparently they have pre-filled out post cards they encourage you to send to all our liberal friends, you just sign them before you get on the train, plane or boat.

Thom and Alex

I want to share with you an experience. On May 16, 2010 my wife, our son, and I went to visit my wife’s sister in the Thumb area of Michigan. If you visit the Thumb area, please stay away from Sanilac County. The law enforcement officials have been investigated for excessive force. Our son had an audio tape of Alex Jones. As usual Alex was ranting and venting about the Nazis and fascists in the United States of Hell. I enjoy listening to Alex on the internet because he says words like Nazi and fascist. Thom tries to restrain himself from such words as Nazi and fascist. He will rant and vent at times and on some occasions he will say the words, Nazi and fascist.

Thom tries to show some class. Alex will let himself rip on certain people and organizations. Alex may not show as much class because he believes we need to speak out against forces that want to enslave Americans and the world population. Thom seems more hesitant because he still believes that the United States of Hell has a future.

Alex talked about mind control that is being used on Americans by the Nazis and fascists in our country. He also mentioned the Trilateral Commission that has voted for the United States of Hell to attack Iran. He also said that the Nazis and the fascists are overtly showing their hand because he believes that the Nazis and the fascists look upon Americans as stupid people.

I feel somewhat close to Alex because I am a person with no class. In fact I may never have had any class. I like to belch when I want to belch and I scratch my behind when I want to scratch my behind. When I was in elementary school, I tried to stay away from garlic and onions because I did want anyone saying that I had garlic or onion breath. Today, when someone says that my breath smells like garlic or onion breath, I wear those words like a badge of honor. What is truly remarkable is that I married a woman who graduated from an all girls Catholic high school. These girls are taught to be prim and proper. Wife dated before we met. Yet, she married me. A woman with class marries a man with no class. It is probably true that opposites attract.

Hello All

Thom's blog in this space and moving to a new home.

Please follow us across to hartmannreport.com - this will be the only place going forward to read Thom's blog posts and articles.

From The Thom Hartmann Reader:
"Thom Hartmann channels the best of the American Founders with voice and pen. His deep attachment to a democratic civil society is just the medicine America needs."
Tom Hayden, author of The Long Sixties and director, Peace and Justice Resource Center.
From Screwed:
"If we are going to live in a Democracy, we need to have a healthy middle class. Thom Hartmann shows us how the ‘cons’ have wronged this country, and tells us what needs to be done to reclaim what it is to be American."
Eric Utne, Founder, Utne magazine
From Unequal Protection, 2nd Edition:
"Beneath the success and rise of American enterprise is an untold history that is antithetical to every value Americans hold dear. This is a seminal work, a godsend really, a clear message to every citizen about the need to reform our country, laws, and companies."
Paul Hawken, coauthor of Natural Capitalism and author of The Ecology of Commerce
