The report noted also that the federal government doesn't have a comprehensive list of the charter schools that have received or spent the funds. And what's really interesting is that the largest part of the grant - 71 million dollars - is earmarked to go to Ohio. Ohio has a record with charter schools so bad that former governor Ted Strickland wrote to Arne Duncan to urge him to reconsider - calling Ohio's charter schools "an embarrassment" So what's going on here - how is this money being spent? And why has there been so little oversight?

According to a new report from the Labor Network for Sustainability - 350.org - and Synapse Energy Economics - fighting global warming and moving towards a renewable energy sector would actually be good for the economy. And I mean really good. The group has put together a plan that it says will reduce greenhouse gasses by 80 percent by 2050 and create 500,000 jobs every year. But is this plan enough to hold off total climate devastation?
