  • Could John McCain be Responsible for the Next 9/11?   10 years 45 weeks ago

I suspect that there are powerful people in those Middle East countries, eg: Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, that don't really want to see the US Military leave those countries. They have made lots of money off of the US presence. And when the US threatens to leave, it wouldn't surprise me that they stir up lots of mayhem in order to sucker the US back in. That also goes for the Military Industrial Complex....they have a very strong interest in staying involved militarily in those countries. I wouldn't be surprised if there is some kind of collusion between our MIC and their insurgents like ISIS. Seems like there is a pattern here! The US supports the Mujahideen against the Russians, leaves lots of weapons and artillery costing US taxpayers an arm and a leg. Then the Neocons and the CIA uses Bin Laden and Al Qaeda to do a false flag operation in the US (9/11). Al Qaeda was used as US proxy fighters in other places and now in Syria. The US invaded Afghanistan and Iraq again and "tries" to pull out of Iraq leaving behind lots of expensive arms and armaments costing US taxpayers lots of money. Pentagon misplaces billions of dollars...yeah, right! And, as Americans balk at the prospect of sending back in more troops, the conniving bastards just might do another 9/11 to frighten Americans back to the jingoist fold.

Another outcome will be the total collapse of the US as we have known it. All empires have fallen before. They overextended themselves and made so many enemies that they couldn't maintain their empires.

Quote Wayne Madsden for strategic-culture.org:Now, over a decade later, the Obama administration is dusting off the Bush administration’s playbook and using it on the government of Bashar al Assad of Syria… The Obama administration first showed its neo-conservative traits when it justified NATO and Gulf Arab intervention in the Libyan rebellion against Muammar Qaddafi as falling under its «responsibility to protect» civilians being attacked by Qaddafi’s forces.

    Quote Wayne Madsden for newageislam.com:
It is clear, once again, that the West is using Al Qaeda as a proxy force to destabilize the Sahel in the interest of a later full-scale military intervention on the terms of NATO and the [Persian]Gulf Cooperation Council. The casualties will be the people of the region, not the billionaire potentates who direct such activities from their luxurious palaces in Riyadh, Jeddah, Doha, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai.

Yes, history repeats itself especially when people can't seem to question authority and react against it sufficiently enough to actually change history.

I usually judge someone's mastery or the written word by their correct use of hyphens, dashes, and semicolons. But you're correct, it's not a thesis. Just a blog.

That's why I hope no one gets offended with anything I say. it's just words on a screen from a man whose opinion doesn't really matter. It's not like I have any political power to make anything happen.

  • Could John McCain be Responsible for the Next 9/11?   10 years 45 weeks ago

The trick is that the Republicans will continue to be such hated bogeymen (and bogeywomen) that it will drive people to feel sorry for the Democrats..for Obama...despite the fact that they have not really come across for us as they hyped in their campaigns. And then, when the Democrats get reelected, they will continue to do the bidding of their puppet masters...the ruling elite. Electing or re-electing more Democrats is not the solution...they'll still continue to sell us out. The Republicans will do it overtly but, the Democrats do it covertly. It's a rigged game!

By the way, I know that Windows 8 has been around for a while but I have had nothing to do with it until a friend who just bought one asked me to set it up. I've briefly played with them in stores but most of my experience is with Windows XP, Windows 7, and Linux. I am now getting educated about some of the things that is quite annoying about it.

I tried to install the Windows card games, which was standard on Windows 7, but in Windows 8 you have to download it from Microsoft. But before you can do that you have to open a Microsoft Account. But after you open an MS account, I found out that I couldn't log on to the lap top unless it was connected to a wireless (or ethernet) internet connection to Microsoft first. What the heck? I can't even log in to the lap top offline? Once you set up to a Microsoft Account you can't log in offline.

So I found out that you have to be in the Local Account in order to log in to the lap top offline. There is a way to do it, pretty simple really (most things are simple if you know how), but since now they sell lap tops without a manual (and without a backup or recovery disk) it is not easy to RTFM (Read The F----g Manual). I could, maybe, download it from another computer, I guess. But for some people buying these laptops, it may be the only computer they have. There is a "Recovery" partition on these laptops but that is internal. I'd feel a lot better getting an external recovery disc like they used to provide. Of course you can't do that with a backup CD because some laptops, now called notebooks, don't have CD or DVD drives. You could still use USB drives.

I noticed just how strongly Microsoft is pushing "the cloud" where even if you have encrypted your files...they are still not in your possession like it would be on your own private external storage drives. Your files could be, and probably are, being monitored by the government or even hackers.

They are trying really hard to sell "the cloud". You can't even play simple card games anymore on your computer unless you compromise your security. Because they want you to get hooked into a Microsoft Account and expose yourself to "the cloud". They say "but what if your house burns down or blows away in a tornado". What if you download an app that has a trojan in it.

Yeah, right, keep a backup storage drive in your car (encrypted, of course). Bury one in your back yard. But don't be foolish enough to trust "the cloud". Microsoft and TPM 2.0 is a combination for Big Brother to spy on you.

Quote pcworld:Is Windows 8 a Trojan horse for the NSA? The German Government thinks so
The German Government is now deeply suspicious that the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) technology built into a growing number of Windows 8 PCs and tablets is creating a gigantic back door for NSA surveillance, leaked documents have suggested.

TPM has been marketed as a security technology since its appearance in 2006, but version 2.0 would embed a chip on every PC that has complete control over which programs can and can’t run, a setting that can’t be over-ridden under Windows 8.

Major Universities don't teach or use Windows operating systems....they use Linux operating systems.

So, if the sheeple all use, predominantly, Windows spy machines (especially the newer versions like Windows 8) and/or found themselves, unwittingly perhaps, using "the cloud" then what better way of keeping people oppressed. I wonder what Windows 10, that is supposed to come out in 2015, will look like. We'll have Windows 10 monitors hanging on our walls with Big Brother chiding us for not saying our prayers last night or for not doing our morning saluting the flag and reciting the pledge of allegiance. Book burning in the afternoon! Evening decapitations of dissidents in the city square.

By the way, I noticed that cryptome.org is down again...I am wondering if the government put pressure on Network Solutions to take John Young down again as they have done in the past. What juicy thing did John post that the government didn't want us to read or see? In 2010, Microsoft was ticked off that he posted Microsoft information that showed how Microsoft was cooperating with the government spying operation. And they knocked cryptome.org off-line for a while.

Was it McCain who kept the American torture camps in Gitmo open? Was it McCain who kept our troops over in Afghanistan and Iraq? Yes, the Republicans are the scourge of the earth but the Democrats are certainly not without sin. As we know, first it is the advisers, then it is the troops.

  • Could John McCain be Responsible for the Next 9/11?   10 years 45 weeks ago

I've been amazed at how many times the republicans leek national security secrets as they ride their hate wagon. There really aren't any adults among them. It's like they start their morning in their garage, with the motor running for 15 minutes!

From Plame, to the Benghazi/CIA opperation to this war monger, stuck in the culture of the MIC, shooting off his trap. They got to the maverick. Republicans are like our uncorralled children, in Tiffany's.

We're a 59%/41% majority and they keep cheating us. Yes, they just lost a point over Iraq.

  • Could John McCain be Responsible for the Next 9/11?   10 years 45 weeks ago

Does anybody truly believe McCain's motive is help Middle Easterners fight for Democracy when he and his ilk have done everything they can to dismantle ours? It's all about self puffery, money and power. Scoundrels like him don't give the slightest crap about ordinary citizens here or over there.

Thom made a comment today regarding illegal immigrants that should be repeated over and over again...... arrest the rich American white guys who enslave the illegals and watch the problem disappear....not his exact words, but close I think.

  • Dick Cheney Should be Rotting in The Hague, Not Writing Editorials   10 years 45 weeks ago

Sorry Matt, I write this from an IPad, no key board, I type with my thumbs...it also does this auto-correct thing, that I don't like, but I can't turn it off. I guess I could check before I hit send, but it's a blog, not a thesis. I agree it's the idea, not the spelling. I feel flattered, attacking my spelling and calling me names is all they have. My ideas are are unblemished :))

  • Dick Cheney Should be Rotting in The Hague, Not Writing Editorials   10 years 45 weeks ago

Interesting fact: Most teachers, myself included, don't teach spelling at the middle school level. We teach students how to get "close enough so the spellchecker will catch it." I can almost see you baby-boomers rolling your eyes. Yes, things were different when you were in school. But yes, this is actually much more practical for the modern world.

The fact that this site doesn't do automatic spell check is mildly annoying. I have to cut and paste into a word document, check the spelling, and cut and paste back to this site. So sometimes I just say "fuck it" and post it the way it is.

So criticize all you want. If my grammar and spelling are where you find fault, and not my logic, I think I am doing well.

ps - I don't have all that many mistakes anyway. My sentence structure and variance is pretty good, I think.

pps - OU - Seriously, your spelling is atrocious. It's tough to read sometimes.

  • Dick Cheney Should be Rotting in The Hague, Not Writing Editorials   10 years 45 weeks ago

Marc - I thought we talked about this already. I can't speak for the other two non-Progressives who frequent this site, but I kind of enjoy the thoughtful dialogue. It's very rare to find online. The thought that someone would hire people to expound right-wing talking points on a Progressive blog with a handful of readers - none of whom are going to change their views anyway - seems egotistical on your part. Particularly if you're not exactly in a "swing state", like me. I know that the righties don't give a damn about me or my opinion while I still live in Illinois.

Plus, like I said before, without differing opinions, it's not much of a discourse. It's just people slapping each other on the back.

And we agree on a lot of things, remember? It's a dangerous standard to set if you start implying that places should only tolerate people with the same views as them. It's only online here, but what if it were like that in the real world? Remember the case of the wedding cake baker who was forced by court order to bake a cake for a gay couple? The righties kept pointing out that there were plenty of other bakeries in the city that were more than willing to make the cake, but the gay couple chose the one who didn't want them, just to make a point. For all of the hot air lefties blow about being all-inclusive, tolerant, big-tent types, they sure look down on people who disagree with them. At least the righties don't even pretend to want everyone in their tent.

In the Book "Art of War" it clearly points out that one of the most strategic things is to "Know Your Enemy". John McCain clearly does not know our enemy. 9-11 is still a physics equation in defiance of

    Newtons Law.

I agree, Alice, that no one should die because they can't afford healthcare. Would a single-payer, not-for-profit system also take over the R&D part of medicine? I only ask because I think the profit motive is what drives medical breakthroughs, not the desire to help people. That is secondary.

My father got an extra two years at the end of his life thanks to a new device they put in his heart: an internal defibrillator. The company that created that may be full of good people who just want to help, but they also want to make money. They saw the need for a device like that, and made it.

Sooner or later, I'm going to have to get my left knee replaced. I want companies out there looking for the best possible way to do this - competing with each other - so that when I have to get it done, I know I'm getting a quality product. I don't mind if someone or some company makes a huge profit from it.

I don't understand how that would work in a not-for-profit system. The employees now are highly motivated to create new medical devices, because otherwise they could go out of business. But if it was the government running it, they couldn't go out of business, so why try as hard. Does that make sense?

The best way to combat this threat may be to cut off their source of weapons and their money to buy them.

Better to do this diplomatically than with military.

PD, good to have your input too.

Thanks for those illuminating tidbits from The Guardian. (Yeah, you're right; "pro-American" my ass.) I highly recommend this article to anyone who wants to know what we're up against, here and elsewhere. How much more will it take to convince enough people that you and I are not exaggerating, that we really are living under fascism! It has me more determined than ever to not back down, to keep countering the toxic messages these fascist scumbags are hellbent on hammering into us via our online sites… even if I come across, to "OU" and other conservatives, like a "bitter angry person". If the military wasn't feeling threatened by what we're doing, they wouldn't go to the trouble of setting up something as bizarre as an "online persona management service" to try and control the platform. We must be doing something right, Palin! It's gratifying to learn that at least a few of the people engaged in "sock puppetry" against U.S. citizens have been prosecuted.

I've held onto another article you posted this past winter, describing blog sabotage techniques in detail. You're such a bloodhound, Palin! Every forum like this needs at least one rabble-rousing rascal like you to dig up the dirt.

The format here on Thom's blog is different from other blogs I've visited, which oughta make it a lot harder for the gestapo to crowd us out via "forum sliding".

As for those little grammatical errors, misspellings and type-0 blunders you and most others on this forum are guilty of from time to time… well Palin, your response couldn't have been more spot-on. Like the overwhelming majority of these people, you're not claiming to be an "educator". I tend to come down hardest on the ones who call themselves "teachers", because they really need to know better than to confuse "want" with "won't" (for example) and "their", "they're" and "there"…. If teachers (even gym teachers!) aren't required to be even that literate, I fear for the next generation and their offspring.

When it comes to the English language, I am hardly a purist. But at least when I do break the rules, I'm aware I am doing it and it is deliberate. Nobody is obligated to conform to academic essay-writing standards on this forum, nor would I even want them to.

Anyway PD, thanks again. You and Marc just made my day. I really love blogging with you guys. - Aliceinwonderland

So, after more than 10 years squandering trillions of dollars, what have we accomplished? We made millions of more enemies that would like to see us burn. So, you'd think that the military industrial complex and our politicians would hang their heads in shame, tail dragging between their legs (as all Jackals might). But guess what? They, like sly foxes, managed to raid the chicken coop and stole from 99% of the people. They don't want peace and friendly neighbors...they want continuous mayhem and war and continual creation of enemies...the more the better. Because "enemies" are the excuse they have to keep us all very afraid. War makes the prices that they charge at the gas station and the grocery stores at exorbitant levels. It gives the MIC the excuse of ripping off the taxpayers. It gives the politicians more bullshit fodder to keep those donations from corporations from drying up.

The ruling elite would love nothing better than to have a sensational attack on America to keep Americans afraid and stupid. And if they don't get an attack, they will engineer one like they did on 9/11. They can easily get more Muslim patsies to "hijack" more airliners...or carry a "CIA provided" suitcase Nuke into some city where they may either intercept and hoot about their success; or, let it actually go off - if they really wanted to scare the crap out of people for a lasting psycho-manipulating experience. The patsies, if they "hijack" a plane or planes, don't even have to know how to fly them....our high tech remotely controlled hijack and guidance systems will guide those "hijacked" planes to their targets...as they did on 9/11.

If people can't watch 3 demolitions in a row and at least sense that something is not right with the official government 9/11 conspiracy theory, then our corrupt government will surely do it again...in some form.

It just might be a very good idea for people to just stay home, don't go shopping, and above all...stay out of tall buildings or very crowded spaces like football stadiums.

Thom says it will happen again and I think he is right...but Thom's slant was that it will all be because we have ticked off people enough to want to do a jihad on us. I think it will be because our own criminal leaders will orchestrate it... like they did on 9/11. It will be another "inside job".

  • Could John McCain be Responsible for the Next 9/11?   10 years 45 weeks ago
Quote hartmann: The important point here is that intentionally or not, John McCain may have just set us up for another 9/11.
    ...
There’s an old saying that those who don’t remember their past are doomed to repeat it, and if we’re not careful with what’s going in the Middle East right now, we are going to see a repeat of what happened just two decades after we armed the mujahideen in the 1980s.

There is also another old saying: "If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck...it's most likely...a duck."

The WTC buildings looked like demolitions (squibs, complete smooth collapse to the ground at near free fall speed), had lots of other evidence that they were demolitions (angle cut vertical beams, nano-thermite residue, etc), and sounded just like demolitions (boom, boom, boom, boom...as reported by firemen...first responders). And if they were demolitions, then.... it was an inside job.

As people, over the years, start to question what our leaders, and their puppet masters, are doing to this country...so much so that they begin to put up resistance to getting involved, again, in the affairs of other countries, McCain, et al (and not just the Republicans), may just do another 9/11 to whip people back into their jingoistic trances once again. Nothing works like a nice false flag operation that kills thousands of Americans.

There have been many "false-flag" operations in our history: Gulf of Tonkin, Lusitania, USS Maine in Cuba, etc.

    Absolutely!

Quote DAnneMarc: I often wonder that motivates these selfish, self centered, egotistical people... Makes no sense; unless, someone is paying them to do it. We do it for free; but, the only reason I see for these others is if they are making money....Give them enough rope and they will soil themselves as they have already done so well. Obviously they have no problem wallowing in their own excrement.
    #74.
I wonder too! hmmm! And the frequent misuse or misspellings of various words could be the linguistic sty that they are wallowing in. Yes, we expect a better example from those who claim to be educators...especially English teachers. The other "educator" may just be a woodworking or gym teacher that may not be required to have such a rigid command of the English language. But, even still, didn't they have to have a college degree in order to teach? True, even "experts" make mistakes sometimes...I know I do. But then again, I don't claim to be an educator....least of all, an English teacher.

DAnneMarc and Chuckle8: And there are even photos that show that there were just the kind of angled cuts to the main, massive, vertical support beams with the tell-tale molten slag along the edges just like are at other steel building demolitions. Why do you think they were so in a hurry to get rid of the evidence and ship all that steel to China for remelting?

And aside from the dust samples taken from around the WTC site that contained molten micro-spheres and particles of nanothermite and chemical traces that perfectly matched that of a thermitic reaction, all of the vehicles near the WTC towers at the time of 9/11 all exhibited corrosive characteristics of what has been known to happen to other vehicles that have been exposed to the extremely corrosive thermitic chemical reactions.

Molten micro-spheres can only be produced by extremely high heat and hurled at high speeds. The airplane and office fires were not hot enough to even weaken steel, let alone melt it. And if it had been hot enough to weaken steel...what we would have seen was a slow deformation, at the site of the crash, of the steel support members in the direction of where the plane entered the building. The top section would have tipped over to that side and probably would not have even fallen over. The under structure, ie: the rest of the building, would have remained intact. But, in no way would the building have collapsed in it's entirety as it did. There is only one way that could have happened and that is a planned demolition using a combination of normal explosives along with nanothermite.

chuckle8 and Palindromedary ~ Chuck, quite frankly your lack of understanding of even basic physics, metallurgy, or scientific analysis shocks and amazes me even more so than your lack of citation to support your 'claims.' For instance you stated that building 7 came down because of its substation? What's that supposed to mean? What did the substation do, blow up? There is a subway all over New York. I never heard about them bringing down any skyscrapers for no reason. Substructures are reinforced with steel. They don't make a structure weaker they make it stronger.

Furthermore your claim that the outside walls supported the twin towers goes against even the claims of the 911 commission who stated that there were two main supports structures inside the buildings on either side. In addition, gypsum sheetrock is the standard inner wall covering in every building and has nothing to do with support. If you have any support for these wild allegations I for one would love to see them.

The simple facts are that it takes a considerable amount of time to heat metal with a fire until it is pliable. it doesn't disintegrate instantly in a fire, only in a blast. Metal when heated bends very slowly at first; and, only in the area heated in the direction of any force applied. The intense fires were in the upper structure not in the basement. And finally, even if the entire building was torched evenly--which it wasn't--the lower support members would have bent over or buckled in the heat and not cleanly sheared off at an angle sticking straight up into the air like they were seen to have done in the wreckage. Those wrecked pillars showed no signs of bending, twisting or buckling. They were cut off at an angle by highly localized blasts--exactly as is done in a controlled demolition.

Lets move on and try to figure out who did this instead of wasting our time bickering about known facts.
