obama shares lots of blame for not adequately making certain republicans don't escape blame for this almost-terrorist incident.
i've listened to both statements he's given on the subject, and unless i missed something, he did not mention the fact that demint is holding up the tsa head honcho nomination, at all. not one word about it.
i was incredulous!
not one word about the fact that the agency did not have a head administrator because republicans were playing politics with the nomination!
this was t-ball, not even hardball.
if obama will not take this easy occasion to point out simple facts and make certain that republicans pay a price for their extreme tactics, why should other dems?
it doesn't take any imagination to conjure up an image of bush lambasting dems if they had tried to do something similar.
but then, dems never would try something of that sort because they know republicans would force them to pay a steep political price for such a move.
the reason that republicans feel free to act as extreme obstructionists is because they know that dems NEVER make them pay ANY price when they act in that fashion.
imho, this is an extremely weak response and one of the reasons obama continues to get pummelled.
Aw, Ravi will be on tomorrow, shoot, I have the day off, so its unlikely I'll have the time to sit and listen to the show.... oh well maybe next time.

I am a union member. Road Sprinkler Fitters Loccal 669. It is a fire sprinkler instalation union .The term "road " is in reference to willing to travel to where ever the work is . In larger cities there is a fire sprinkler union that has jurisdiction for the area. The rest of the country basically is under the jurisdiction of the Road Fitters. When conditions are favorable we are allowed to work in other jurisdictions. Iv'e worked in both union and non-union. To be honest, I quit every non-union employer.The owners were way to selfish, everything was about his greed. I never quit a union employer.I work for employers who share the same mentality as the workers, which is that we are in it for our families .He provides me a very good opportunity. My labor provides profits for our families, including my bosses. It makes me very happy to see him (my boss) sucsessful. He too is happy to see his employees doing well. So what is it Jim DeMint has against families?What does Jim DeMint have against employers who PROUDLY want to provide well paying jobs to thier employees? What does Jim DeMint have against employees who Proudly work for thier employers? I support the notion of government unions, My experiance with my union is very favorable and I would highly recomend to anyone who wants to be a responsable and productive employee, to join a union.

Yes, I hope the idea of recess appointments isn't a revelation to the W.H. --- I'm sure it isn't. However, with a little "push" maybe the idea will seem that much sweeter...
One could say so much regarding Rahm Emanuel. He's experiencing a little hot water lately:

If we are going to start profiling, maybe we shouldn't stop at Muslims. It seems to me that a high percentage of Insurance CEOs and Banksters are old, white men. Perhaps we should investigate ALL old, white men since they have a higher propensity for GRAND LARCENY!

Someone please correct me if I am incorrect, but wasn't the EU getting ready to ease up on their airport security? I seem to recall either reading or hearing something about that. Then, this guy comes through and screws up trying to blow up an airliner, then gets captured and gets to claim he's affiliated with 'Al Queda'? From 'V For Vendetta' "...the true genius of the plan was the fear." Who is behind this fear campaign? I do not know, but the first thing to pop into my mind was "Manchurian Candidate." Hopefully, I'm not alone here.
I hope I wasn't out in front of the Whitehouse on a recess appt. I mean I would hope they would have thought of it before now. I bet Rahm Emmanuel never forgot about an "appointment" with people from the drug industry to set up a deal with them.

I called the White House re: your idea for Obama to make recess appointments. The staffer said that sounded like a very good idea and she would make sure the president gets this suggestion today.

Jim De Mint is a con. Would it be accurate to call him Con- DeMint. If so what kind ? A pickle? His mouth sure does get him in to a pickle. Jam ? Same reason as pickle ? Mabe he prefers peanut butter .I would not be surprised to find out that his dog likes it.

The second questions would be why hasn't Obama made a recess appointment for the head of the TSA? Bush never hesitated to make recess appointments. AKA John Bolton?
I suppose its logical that Neo-cons like Dimented are using this as an excuse to attack organized labor because to them nothing is lower than a terrorist except for a card carrying Union member.
Speaking of airline safety... I've always wondered why is it that every vessel that puts to sea has to have life boats to cover its passenger/crew load, but airplanes are not required to carry parachutes?
