I don't trust any of the conservative supremes. I sincerely hope I'm wrong! The next target: Social Security.

I agree with you, Thom - if the supreme court strikes down Obamacare, the president should fight for Medicare Pt. E! I sincerely wish that would happen, but it doesn't seem like President Obama is strong enough to do that.

If this country reverses healthcare and starts on Social Security - or even before that - Why don't the people take to the streets as in Egypt? It seems like it's working for them! Why are the people in this country so content to just be entertained and fed? You talk about becoming involved with the local Democratic Party. I have - I'm on the board of directors - I am too left for them - the Chair and other board members are middle of the road in my opinion. They follow whatever the Party tells them without question. . It's hard when this is the case. I've emailed PDA to ask about meetings and trainings, but never received a response. I also have $5.00 automatically contributed to them every month. My last name is Koch, but I'm in no way related to the Koch Bros. Many other Dems ask me about this. However, I am a low income person - wish I had more money - I would never become a repub if I did.

I listen to you every chance I get - it's like attending classes in many cases. Thank you so much for what you do. You are my hero.

I hope they target Socialist Insecurity too. It's a Bernie Madoff Ponzi scheme. It takes 12.4 percent of each workers payroll. It pays back 1/2 to 2/3rd LESS than municipal and government pensions for the same wage rate. It's entire surplus from the last tax hike in the 1980s has been stolen to pay for "other things". It has 15 Trillion in unfunded liabilities. In the 1970s disability insurance was added to it, in the 1990s alcoholics and drug addicts who were now limited to 5 years lifetime welfare were converted by do gooder organizations to SSDI. During the same time frame the Clinton administration allowed hundreds of thousands, if not millions of foreigners who had never paid into the system to come into the country and collect from it. SSA counts 675,000 non citizen foreigners collecting roughly $800 each month from a system they had never paid into. This number doesn't count those who became citizens. Medicare is busted broke too. Thanks to Obamacare and another 10% cut, It pays on average 21 percent less than private health insurance and it's unfunded liability is over 77 Trillion. The government is like a crack addict who promises it will be better and different the next time. Gee will it really, is there a tooth fairy too!!!

All I know is that for signing on the dotted line for serving our country veterans were promised medical coverage. And now thanks to the

Bush crime syndicate its all co-pay now. I wouldn't mind paying some of my way, but were are the promises that were made then when they

asked us to stand up? Thanks for nothing! "Why are the people in this country so content,"Linda? Its becaue of the ME syndrome, if it doesn't

affect or concern me than !@#$ it. Very few of those fat hemaroids sitting on theri lazy boys can see just how intrinsically the thread of life webs

itself through ALL our lives and just how we are all connected. I do not like a lot of this law and the fact that I continue to be unemployed will only

mean that I will not be able to purchase even a most basic level of coverge.

I believe Obama is two steps ahead of the Republicans. The leaders of the Democrats did not want to put a single payer on the table or even discuss it. They were hoping that the Republicans would have Obama care declared unconstituional. The next presidential election will be won when the Democrats support a single payer health care insurance after millions of people will die because they can not buy insurance or the insurance companies really raise their premium so only the rich can afford insurance. The American people will demand change so all people are covered and there will be no more for profit insurance companies.

Forcing people to buy insurance for health is a bad idea. I am not forced to buy auto insurance if I don't have a car. If I don't own a house or if it is all paid for I am not forced to buy fire insurance. I am forced to pay taxes to pay for fire protection. I should be forced to pay taxes to pay for health protection for myself and my neighbors. Setting up tax on income to support a single payer would be constitutional just as Social Security is.
