The percentage of the 1% that fund the politicans are greedy enough to think of only one thing - what's the best outcome for their bottom line.
Maybe they will say like O'Reilly says, "If you want to pay more, go ahead but I'm not going to." They will ignore this and change the subject.
I only voted no because depiste 100 Republicans who say they are backing away from the Grover Norquist pledge telling them to raise taxes, they'll not do it. This super committee was probably the dumbest idea they've come up with yet. As A Democratic Committee member we put forth a motion tonight, I seconded it and we voted. And this after a 5 minute debate. That's how it's done Congress. Start listening to the people and not your rich campaign donors or you'll find yourself in the unemployment line next year. I've committed myself to this end working from the inside.
You have to remember, those congress people are also millionaires and are looking after their own hides PLUS there's that Norquist thing. What perplexes me is why Norquist hasn't been charged with bribery...that's exactly what he's doing. Who in H--- voted for him anyhoo?
