No one Pres can save the middle class. Obama can make a good start IF GOP Baggers do not run / own Senate & Congress . If so country will remain in a stalemate slugging along bit by bit. On bright side Some bright signs are appearing but Mitt Ryan GOP can repeal them and take us back to same old GOP wealth favoring toxic policies that led to global edge of a 1929 depression, more corp cuts- more deregulation & greed.. More power on Wall St . Bush admin lied us into the Iraq war- killing,maiming, wasting trillions Mitt is very vague Makes no real commitments to Americans Mitts Bain Capital did not create jobs ..they fired people and took away pensions Guess who insured those pensions ? Taxpayers did under the PBGC . GOP & Mitt say they want small gov't unless it enriches or helps them. Mitts Bain used 'Leveraged buyouts' ( using others people money - to buy Co's . Mitts Bain drove several of those Co into bankruptcy soon after Bain got their 100's of millions. in fees. Small business creates jobs NOT Wall St Not the top 1 % Bush tried to scam us on that one We can not fall for that greedy scheme again Or can we ?

Only if we get behind him and get not only Obama re-elected, but put the House back under Democratic control and increase control in the Senate so filibuster doesn't work anymore. Need at least 60 strong Dems in senate.
I agree a major push is needed to get some progressive people running for congress & senate. I'm not certain about the courts, if supreme court justices can be impeached...but some serious folks with the know-how need to look into it. With obvious conflicts of interest going on, there may be grounds for impeachment there. Local judges, at least in my state, can be voted out. I've never seen a lot of campaigning against court positions, but maybe it's time to start in those places where the GOP has loaded the court systems.
Too much takeover by the "for profit" sector is getting out of hand, "for profit" colleges, "for profit" prisons, "for profit" grammar schools. Ignorance in this country is unaccetable, and paying to be kept ignorant is outrageous! As it is, we're about the only country in the world not using the metric system, the only major country with no national healthcare system, and the only country skirting and still debating environmental issues. Will we be reading The Rise & Fall of the U.S. in 20 years, or do we put all our out-of-work time and energy into taking this country back and moving forward?

it seems President Obama has to overcome alot of entrenched power ; paying less taxs the richer you are appeals to many that are rich and with that power ; we need to use vote power tell congress we will vote them out if they vote for foolish tax code benifiting rich either corp . or irs tax code favoring rich ;go for Obama care vote in congress telling supreme court does not have constitional authority to strike down laws ,for me it is common sense to have regulations on wall str .they got our investment money retirement money and then let them have no regulations LOL ; the repeal of obama care will hurt and anger so many ppl and they will be yet another force as is 99%movement to regain control of congress ; the tea party was apathy at midterm ;99% is majority of americans things will set them self straight as long as we put on the pressure to congress and the President / after all Obama giving us health care we gave him the tea party what is he to think ??????
