We must also give Bernie a progressive Democratic congress. All seats in the House are up, and we can take back the Senate! But we must not forget the Governors and state legislators either. Remember, even a bad Democrat is better than any Republican!
And this year is not the time to waste a vote on the Greens, when Bernie needs us.

The correct answer is "Yes". Most of what the activist unions of old fought for is now law, though much of it has been circumvented. The new overlords of America---the 1% and the superbanks---still need unions. They need them to appease the workers when they have to take paycuts or when benefits are cuts or when jobs are sent overseas. The role of unions today seems to be more about keeping the workers on the assemby lines and off the picket lines.
People are more concerned about their own financial hide these days. There is much less interest in the collective. That's the idea. To discourage people from working together to build a stronger work force; those people are deemed "troublemakers" and usually forced out. We are also being pitted against workers in second and third tier countries with their high unemployment who work for pennies a day and no benefits and are glad to get it; who are prohibited from forming unions.
If Democrats were so good for the unions and working class, there wouldn't be a Republican one in office. The fact is, there is only surface "sound bite" differences between the two parties. Both are bought and paid for by their corporate masters. Elections have become an illusion of choice. We MUST stop accepting their pick of puppets.
