According to a new report from "Oil Change International" - "The potential carbon emissions from the oil, gas, and coal in the world's currently operating fields and mines would take us beyond 2 degrees C of warming. The reserves in currently operating oil and gas fields alone, even with no coal, would take the world beyond 1.5 degree Celsius." Bill McKibben wrote in The New Republic that "if our goal is to keep the Earth's temperature from rising more than two degrees Celsius - the upper limit identified by the nations of the world - how much more new digging and drilling can we do? Here's the answer: zero." But Trump delivered a low-energy speech in Pittsburgh yesterday pitching an "America-First" energy plan that would doom future generations and the planet.
