Let's have more of this kind of action. And vigorous and big enough that the media can't overlook it.

I liked the guy locked up in his Chinese factory. His employees must have seen "Nine to Five" for the inspiration. We all know that "specialty medical supplies" like underpads, catheters, and Depends are a huge bilker of medicare/hospice programs.

The BART workers have my total support! Despite the fact the their strike may prove very disruptive to my daily routine I welcome the inconvenience. That is what we all must do to protect our freedoms and way of life. Viva Labor!!

    A satire for optimism

Gay’s, abortion, and gun are issues that have been burned out by the mainstream media. So much so many begin to believe the script was written a long time ago and distributed among the Supreme Courtiers, littered in the back room.

It is so oh, oh, oh, surreal to watch them all in their black robes as I watch my dollar bills tiled together in a picture too big to fall and hung above like a famous Picasso, a rare collection ready to shout out at me like the witches hat in Harry Potter next to my cable screen. The Supreme Courtiers that flatter the one percent kingdom. A Cappella, a nine part concerto waiting for those dollar bills to talk to me. They must be golden; the silence is too long to fail.

Waiting for the cords of the next song, should be Ring around the Rosie, as the congress and senate join hands while singing “De rien” la courts to hold the door open to corruption. The robes should be Panther pink instead of black. Or is there corruption green. Getting ready for breaking news that is never repaired…

Get ready for the next Broadway Hit makes time to be frisked while waiting in line. Or hang your gun on the rack. Dial up the new application from Snowden, Booz Allen and Hamilton to see on your smart phone where the next terrorist strike will be. Information now bottled for your protection, Bush approved only 9.99 a month guaranteed accurate for the closest IED. Wedding bells or alarm bells the new beginning.

A female president may be way past time, but she would only be a token woman to do the bidding of the boys club. EQUAL GENDER GOVERNMENT is a way to balance that would bring men and women with better attitudes into politics. The sort of people that know the race is rigged now and want a better system for everyone. We are talking about gay marriage but have not achieved equality of rights and representation for women within politics yet. What sort of union is that?

MMmmNACHOS ~ An excellently tactful statement on your part. Let me explain. Patriotic arrogance? Arrogance! Now there's a dirty word if I ever heard one. Remember, arrogance is in the eye of the beholder. I've heard that word thrown around much too often recently and I think we should look at it. What is arrogance? According to the dictionary arrogance is a synonym for pride. One man's pride is another man's arrogance. What about gay pride? Anti-gay groups may look upon that as gay arrogance. What about self pride? Pride in accomplishments, understandings, or deeds. Is it not right and good to have pride in one's accomplishments? If not, then how do we motivate anyone to do anything? Is it not jealousy that attacks another's pride and labels it arrogance? Or is it excessive pride that leads to arrogance? You be the judge. Is it wrong for a hero to be proud of their heroism? Is that not what builds character?

Pride is a good thing. Excessive pride is not. When pride becomes excessive it lacks modesty and becomes conceit and vanity. There is a balance the prideful must hold to prevent their pride from sliding into conceit and vanity and that balance is modesty. However, the observer must also exercise modesty by refraining from attacking the misplaced pride of another with a belittling term such as arrogance. The charge of arrogance only feeds into the negative sensation of conceit and vanity. If excessive, unwarranted, and overt conceit and vanity are being displayed the most discouraging thing an offended observer can do is to ignore that individual. This requires great self-control, tact, as well as modesty. Conceit and vanity feed upon the reaction of others. I suggest we starve the misplaced pride rather than feed it.

Therefore, I must congratulate MMmmNACHOS for his most tactful way of addressing the situation by making a broad general statement about arrogance instead of addressing any one person. MMmmNACHOS is wise enough to know that by using arrogance to directly label a person is a display of jealousy that negates and voids anything else he may wish to say. His comment was delivered in such a way as to state his message and release his emotions while at the same time giving everyone something to think about without offending anyone. Kudos NACHOman! Kudos! May you be an example to others!

Quote MMmmNACHOS:.I am often more irritated by most peoples patriotic arrogance. Left and Right...As long as people keep hitting the feeder bar the further they are from the truth...That is until those in power stop putting pellets in the feeder. By then it's too fuck'in late!

What an interesting concept...and so true.

I bust a gut laughing out loud on that one MMmmachos! Very funny...oh, to be young again! Don't worry, MMmmachos, your turn is coming. It's a biological thing..we all slow way down when we get older...unless, maybe, you risk your life by taking Viagra or something. Sometimes I think it is really a good thing...slowing down. As long as both partners slow down together...that's the key. Since I started not eating red meat or pork many years ago, and recently losing a lot of weight through dieting...eating mostly seeds, nuts, vegetables, and fruit and very sparing portions of normal meals (with maybe chicken or fish), I have gone from approaching a 120/80 blood pressure to about 90/65 blood pressure after having lost over 40 pounds. Sometimes it goes up to maybe 105/70...it varies of course over the course of a day. I did it all by not even exercising at all..I know it would have been better and faster in losing weight by exercising as well. I am not on any special diet...just cut way back on my portions. I used to pig out at every meal...buffets...etc. If I eat at a restaurant, I'll eat only a small amount and take the rest home and make that my next meal. Funny thing is, aside from the initial sensations of hunger, in the beginning days of my diet, back in November of last year, I never feel hungry anymore. The initial will-power won out and it is easy now to not over-eat. Actually, I feel great and feel much younger now...not embarrassed to wear swimming trunks in public. Of course, I could still get hit by a truck!

DANNEMARC & PALINDROMDARY regarding post 62 from Friday 6/28/13
You are right DAM, I wasn't tring to attack or dismiss yours and Palindromdary's theories...In fact I agree that the Government was VERY involved in 9/11. However, as much as I agree with the conspirecy that the government attacked it's own people by plotting a terrorist attack here in the U.S. in order to eccelerate the country into further building the Military Industrial Complex by invading and militarily occupying the Middle East, I think it is more imporatnt to focus our energy...Slow down and actually deal with the core source. That Michael Hastings has a mysterious car accedent is reason for concern but more important what was he working on...What sensitive information did he have, and about who? Same with Snowden...Most people are following the "Where In The World Is Waldo" story rather than saying "Hold on...What information does this guy have and who is involved and how does it affect us all"? Same with Pvt. Bradley Manning, J.Assenage...I don't really care so much about "who" these people are as much as "what" is it they are blowing the whistle on. From there is where I feel We the People need to be actively involved in pushing the courts to redirect the attention and reason for concern back onto the Government.

As far as my frustration goes...I am often more irritated by most peoples patriotic arrogance. Left and Right...As long as people keep hitting the feeder bar the further they are from the truth...That is until those in power stop putting pellets in the feeder. By then it's too fuck'in late!

Yes I do enjoy the outdoors. My wife and I do tend an eatable garden. We also belong to a local chapter of the Audobon Society, as well I am an active local chapter member of Transition America, and Food Democracy Now. But our favorite passtime...Drinking rum and coke and screwing!!! Even after 19 yrs (13 married) we still like to get it on...And get it on we do!!! |{)

Off topic, but I think important. I wonder what the NSA has on Shelby County, Alabama attorney Butch Ellis? He's the match that started the recent forest fire that will strip many United States citizens of their right to vote. Or is he? I wonder how much money it would take to bribe one of the privatized agencies to give us the info on who was behind him? I smell a brand new offshore bank account somewhere.

Quote 2950-10k:.. Rush Limpbaugh on a Viagra laced sex tour in the Dominican Republic! Definitely not loving and most likely not even consenting.

Egads, what a disgusting thought! But hey, if you are going to accept and validate one thing you cannot non-hypocritically demonize the others. I don't care what Rush Limpballs does on his off time just as long as I don't have to watch.

No doubt fundamentalist religious zealots are only Muslim...right? Surely there aren't any Christian ones...right?
;-o Muslim religious zealots strap on bombs and know they are going to die for their beliefs. Christian religious zealots use all of the high tech armament the US government provides or pushes buttons from a control station to direct drones to murder hundreds of civilians at a time. The later usually doesn't expect to die for his beliefs but is usually dreaming about where he is going to get his next piece of a$$ and what fun it was to splat that guy's brains all over the ground. So bold and brave aren't they?

Yes, there are exceptions...like someone who has to actually disarm a bomb...that's brave...really brave...and I'd be too cowardly to do it for sure.

DAnneMarc: I just saw your post from a few days ago. In answer to your question, I think the plantation and sweat-shop owners need to be prosecuted as part of immigration reform. In my opinion the problem would greatly ease if this were to happen.

C'mon Palindromedary, when did sex between two loving and consenting adults become a perversion?

I'll tell you what perversion is, it's Rush Limpbaugh on a Viagra laced sex tour in the Dominican Republic! Definitely not loving and most likely not even consenting.

I'm happy if the newlyweds are!

  • Wedding bells are ringing in California!   11 years 47 weeks ago

Actually, I think it is way past time to get a female President...I'd be overjoyed to see someone like Elizabeth Warren to be our next President. Certainly not old dragon lady Hillary Clinton. But then I thought, so many years ago, that it was high time we got a Black as a President as well...and how did that turn out. That two-faced traitor, once he got elected, reneged on most of his promises.

I wouldn't even mind if she was a lesbian and had a lesbian lover living in the White House. I wouldn't even be averse to seeing a gay in the White House with a gay lover as long as they are not publicly expressing sexual intimations...like kissing, embracing in suggestive ways, then I have no problem with it.

I don't even think it proper for heterosexuals in such public positions to display public signs of affection. It is mostly fake anyway and done for the purpose of fostering some kind of acceptance by those who view them.

I am not against people doing what they like to do..but if you expect to have the freedom to do what you like to do then don't come down on others who do what they like to do....however, in your minds, objectionable. Just as long as I don't have to see them doing it or feeling the heat to be part of their "special moments" of endearment.

  • Wedding bells are ringing in California!   11 years 47 weeks ago

Well, I am an atheist and find all religions bogus and objectionable.

Palindromdary; "So when are they going to legalize protitution nationwide???When will men be able to claim bennefits for their misstresses?"

The sooner society gets over its uptight bigotry the better off we will all be.

  • Wedding bells are ringing in California!   11 years 47 weeks ago

DAnneMarc: the great thing about inflatables (so I'm told...no actual experience of course) is that you never have to worry about flattering them. Never have to worry that they will get ticked off at you for something you did or didn't do. Never have to worry that it is cheating on you. Never have to pay alimony or child support. Never have to worry that they are going to die on you. Just throw the damn thing in the trash and get a new one for just a few bucks. In fact, if you are so inclined, you can buy a whole bunch and have an orgy and you don't even have to worry about getting STDs or AIDs. And if one or two pops through excessive exuberance in a heat of passion you won't be hauled in for murder. And your inflatable won't be plotting to do away with you to get the inheritance. Unless you get the Black Widow model then you have to watch it.

Actually, the doll that starred with Mr. Gosling in that movie was way more than a simple inflatable...it was a lifelike Real Doll that cost quite a bit more and is quite a bit more realistic than a cheapo inflatable. They even have a male real doll for either the ladies or the men who want to be ladies. They have a web site www.realdoll.com but beware if you are averse to such filth the photos are xxx-rated.

Now that this is sorted we can have a serious movement for EQUAL GENDER GOVERNMENTS. A world of one with one, rather than the boys club arrangement of the last few thousand years. The greatest human rights issue ever, a blood free resolution.

  • Wedding bells are ringing in California!   11 years 47 weeks ago

What a bunch of silliness. You aren't going to put this back in the bottle. It's a rights issue, it's not a religious issue, and I am not of your religion (because i can't see any problem with same-sex marriage and the 2,000 biblical verses on which this is based are totally out of context and have been written, rewritten, revised and god knows what. They are NOT the word of god.

Thank God I don't have to listen (or read) this stuff very much.

    Get over it.
