    Heads UP

    Life on Earth depends upon:

    The Earth

    Fresh Air

    Fresh Water

    Natural Organic Earth-Spawned Foods

    Sunshine

    Seasons

    Diversity

    Comfort

    Laughter

    Reproduction

Work should be so abundantly close that humans would be able to do it from home or ride a bike or walk to work. And Public Transportation should be a given. The sun, wind or center of the Earth should power public and private transportation. Humans should be able to grow gardens.

The Earth has suffered much and is yet suffering from the insidious cancer Greed.

And Greed has its way by creating misery.

Greed makes people’s lives miserable by creating poverty, no job, no fishing, no hunting, no land to grow a garden or raise domestic animals, no picking fruits or nuts in the national forests. Interestingly Arizona has “decorative (non-edible) oranges” to beautify its boulevard dividers. Greed gets air and water deregulated so that it can do anything it wants to these life forces and does. Greed gets the abject poor hooked on drugs so they can escape their sad lives over and over again and promises big bucks and no more financial worries if they get involved in drug sales. Greed makes certain drugs expensive and illegal (not major greed’s preferred drug, alcohol) so that the miserable illegal drug-addicted masses can be arrested and put into prisons that put these miserably tricked souls to work for less than minimum wage in order to get out of prison sooner. Greed smuggles or rather has drugs smuggled into the prisons so that all addicted prisoners can again escape their miserable lives. Greed lengthens their sentences when it catches them disobeying prison rules. If you are a private prison your greed, by skimping on food and medical supplies, can incite riots to lengthen sentences for more free labor and more per diem space charges. If you think they get hefty fines for thus being greedy, realize that to them the fines they pay in their lawsuits and settlements are like a few pennies to the common folk.

In January 2006 the President of the United States declared in his State of the Union Address: "Here we have a serious problem: America is addicted to oil…….” If crude oil was a controlled substance perhaps the right people including their government enablers would be rounded up and put in prison. Although with the right laws things could and should change. The way things are now in white collar prisons they’d probably get to have what they depend on, tennis and ping pong, drinks by the pool, free Coca Cola, and soda crackers, golf, gourmet meals and parties; but at least they’d be where we can see them to monitor their actions behind bars. These guys just don’t seem to care about what All Life depends on, do they?

Humans need to be greedy for kindness and being kind and for the natural life where sickness, toil and trouble are rare.

In yesterday’s Yahoo News read the following URL to see what the corporatocracy has in mind and in action now, another way to add to the already high rate – higher than any other country’s - prison population of America with more destitute racially judged masses. And this hateful crime is always rationalized by and exists in the name of American Patriotism and paid for by the taxpayers. Ask yourself what the following article will accomplish and for whom? For crime you can look down or you can look up. http://news.yahoo.com/s/mcclatchy/3538344

    The 1956 Republicans

Wolfson and Alexander were subbing for Thom. They shared parts of the GOP 1956 platform to re-elect Ike. The GOP in 1956 was progressive humanitarians. Today, they are murderers and war criminals and they spew thoughts that humanitarians are terrorists. Thom Hartmann is on file as a humanitarian terrorist. On Thom’s show there was some talk about names being added to the no-fly list. Was Thom off on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 and Thursday, July 8, 2010 to confer with his lawyer on how to remove his name from the no-fly list? In 1956 the Republicans were progressive humanitarians and today the Republicans are murderers and war criminals.

Liz Cheney is absolutely right about American exceptionality. Yes, Americans are exceptionally stupid, exceptional murderers and war criminals, exceptionally corrupt, exceptionally hateful, exceptional liars, etc. Yes, Americans are exceptionally very transparent.

The Supreme Court Mafia has shattered the Golden Rule and Sacramental Moments. Whoever does good deeds with foreigners are considered humanitarian terrorists. The Supreme Court is spreading their hatred across the United States of Hell and to all the corners of our world. Numb Nuts, aka Americans, have continually broken the Fifth, Seventh, Eighth, and Tenth Commandments. Numb Nuts live in perpetual mortal sin that will eternally damn their souls.

We have different rules and laws for different people. Our teenagers are into fairness and idealism. These emotions are not just for them but for family, friends, and neighbors. What kind of message are we sending them as our courts free murdering cops? The teenage years are developmental years and these years should experience fairness and idealism. They will grow up soon enough and join the real and unfair world we live in. It is important that at this stage in their life they experience hope and ideas for a better world. Our Numb Nut nation is destroying our youth.

Anyone who thinks the Antarctica records prove Global Warming is false only need to look up the effects of B-15 that calved off the Ice shelf and blocked the water circulation for a few years not too long ago. The blockage itself was massive proof that sudden chenges in local areas can have major effects in far reaching regions as well as devastating results on local wildlife.

I spent 4 years working on the Ice and was a skeptic to begin with, after seeing raw data and having the chance to sit and talk with researchers concerning the planets 7,000 year cycle and many others that bring warm and cold spells to the lands. We have had ice ages which were sparked by outside factors NOT factors happening because the Earth froze for no reason. If the next El Nino destroys counties from AL to OR will we say that it was simply a cycle that makes it many hudreds of times more destructive than any other in recorded history? Ice records are recorded history written without bias.

Here's a good example of how the blame game can make even Thom (who I have admired for several years and still do) lose perspective. I refer of course to the negative evidence presented in paragraph 2 which gives in its first sentence MORE than ample reason to point the finger squarely at BP and decades of deregulation. But for reasons unfathomable the paragraph becomes a rambling screed based on nothing but conjecture. Are we forgetting who deregulated the oil industry? Do we know what ways Obama's hands are tied or NOT tied? I stand fully ready to blame Obama when evidence comes in that shows the crap he's in is of his making. The core fact is we still don't know what kind of secret deals have existed for decades just like we're finding out now the real number of oil leaks that have been spilling for decades under the same exact deregulated environment that caused this one. But let's throw all that aside. It's so much easier to join the corporate media and blame the only real "regulator" to take office since Carter. One more detail people forget is that THIS oil isn't like the shallow water well oil. BP was barging regulation-free into "uncharted territory". I don't see what more blame we need. In fact I foresee a time coming very soon where blame won't matter anymore. The regulation-free zone called the Gulf of Mexico has been killed. All that matters now is how much worse will it get?

I just received an email from Senator Sanders touting some of all that he has done in the Senate recently.

I sent him the following response:

    Dear Senator,

Thank you for all the right words.

Now please let me know when appropriate actions have been taken and when associated benefits have been actualized.

For instance, let me know when the Fed has been audited.

And let me know when the primary health centers have been established and the first patient treated and the first health care dollar "saved".

And let me know when the first new job under a new alternative energy plan has been created.

    And let me know.....

    Sincerely,

(And with great respect for your good intentions).

@Jeanie, yes, at first, they will get their jollies in seeing liberal women stoned. Please remember that Fox is never a happy camper unless more and more of God's children are slaughtered. They are vampires in their lust for human blood. If you look closely at the faces of Fox people, their smiles will reveal the gorging of human blood and small drops of blood escaping from the sides of their mouth.

What a world we live in! Women are stoned for their adulterous affairs but a Congressman from Louisiana receives a standing ovation from his Numb Nuts Party, aka Republicans, for his adulterous affairs. This is the same Numb Nuts Party that runs on elections stressing family values.

What is it that the Creationists don't get about metaphor? Truth is not the same as accuracy. Neils Bohr said that the opposite of a fact is a falsehood, but the opposite of a truth is often another even deeper truth.

Re BP as a convicted Felon

In many states a convicted felon looses their right to vote. If a corporation "votes" with their money, then shouldn't a corporation convicted of a felon loose their right to buy votes thru lobbying, political contributions, ect.?

  • Daily Topics - Tuesday July 6th, 2010   14 years 46 weeks ago

The biggest problem with the electoral college is the unit rule. If we disallowed that, there would be a lot less argument against it.

If you want have a popular vote, but also keep federalism, you could get rid of the idea of electoral votes and instead have the state simply report to the Senate the number of votes each candidate got.

Something that really should be changed about the Presidential election is having the House of Representatives vote by states. That part's just stupid.

@Foodfascist, the stoning of women will be common practice in our Numb Nut nation within five or ten years. The stoning of women will be in an arena similar to gladiators killing Christians during the Roman Era. Sundays will be the day for the stoning of women. Americans are always trying to create new ways to enjoy themselves in the killing of God's children.
