We will BE brain washed by their garbage and nonsense.

@John, thank you for that information! The GOP, I believe, hold meetings and tapes are shown; materials are handed out; and one message talking points are encouraged. Unless Americans wise up, we will brain washed by their garbage and nonsense. The GOP has been very effective in spreading hatred, corruption, and lies. American brains are too numb to even think of answers to resolve our many problems.

Thieme was a verbal "hatchet man" for "Big oil" seminars organized by HL Hunt. Thieme was a so-called expert on communist "brainwashing" techniques. Which? Thieme has reverse engineered into christian theology for corporate MIC agenda.

Also Barabara Bush attended this Church and currently lives less than 2 miles away in Houston, Tx.
Many people were upset when Barbara said(paraphrasing) that people in Katrina were "better off" in the Astrodome than were they came from in Louisiana. It is NO WONDER. The racist Thieme called black people "melanoderms" and said(paraphrasing) "that black people were lucky to have been slaves and they are "better off" than where they came from living in the jungle throwing spears at each other"

And, Dan Quayles wife grew up in this church.

It is easily could be called a "Big Oil political counter-revolutionary Church", but that would not be enough to describe it.

    @Gerald Socha and this forum:

Hello! I am not here to persuade you to believe in once saved always saved. The corporate MIC "christian" cult I speak of does, however. I should not have said that you(my friends here) are behind neocons in theology. My logic here is one true word in true faith has value whereas 10,000 false words has no value as to what is good. Neocons going back to Hitler have used christian theology for their political agendas. Just as Hitler tasked Gerhard Kittle(arrested after WWII) to "find" an answer to destroy the Jews in the christian theology, which was then to be taught in all the government controlled churches of the 3rd Reich. The pastors of the 3rd reich churches were very much responsible for prejudices against the Jews in WWII. TAUGHT from the pulpit.

People are free to believe as they wish in my view. I cannot control all the reactions that may occur from what I say. The reason I bring up Christian theology is to show how in many cases Neocons have twisted the verses of the bible(and taken out of context) for their Neocon corporate agenda and how dangerous it is. The immoral "Corporate Christianity" theology has been written and spoken by RB Thieme jr in the 1960s,70s,80s,90s and early 2000s. He is now deceased. But the problem is Thieme made daily tapes of his "classes". These tapes are the perfect militant, corporate "christian" cult model(blueprint). These tapes are in the hundreds of thousands and they were sent through the USA and the world. "Thieme's model" can be reproduced at any time or place in the world by simply forcing Thieme's tapes into a particular church. Many churches have split over Thieme's tapes. This was Thieme's intention to militantly "blitzkrieg" divide and conquer American churches(and foreign churches) by coercion of Thieme's false "superior theology".In addition Thieme "indoctrinated" the christian slaves to submit to institutional corporate authority. Thieme was very convincing to many. He always shoved his "superiority knowledge of the original languages" in the face of everyone. So? That when an "average" christian who in good faith had a question in which Jesus might be seen as a socialist loving caring liberal? well Thieme was on the attack with his "technical" "orignal" language" "corrections" of?paraphrasing " That's not so Jesus was a neocon war loving war profiteering Republican Neocon"

It turned out that Thieme's "mastery of the original languages" was a sham as so was his cult.(Though many people of good faith were hoodwinked)

And thus then followed the ignorant insane Neocon vote in November.

And it has worked in many cases. Many lives have been destroyed by this persons twisting of theology and the false addition of his personalized cult into theology.

The reason I bring this up is because you are dealing with a zombied corporate cult(where human common sense has little if no respect before Thieme and his copycat "pastors") which shows how far Neocons are willing to go to twist the words of the Bible for their corporate fascist MIC agenda.

It is fine that you believe the way you do in my view.

Also, I think that the "mass media" of oldern days WAS the church. It was the 1st gathering of people in mass before printed paper or even that language was standardized for people to even attain the skills to even read competently on a "mass" scale, in which Kings could control the serfs through words.

After all what is the title of the Gospel? Is it not "the good NEWS"?

@John, thank you for the information on Bonhoeffer and the words about Nazi theology, etc. I do not believe in the "once saved, always saved" philosophy. I believe that God is interested in our perseverance to do good on earth until the end of our natural life.

@Nels and DDay, thank you for the kind words! I share some information to alert people on the importance of a healthy heart. A person may look good on the outside but the internal activity is only experienced by the person with heart problems.

Nels, my guess is that only God knows our souls and how prepared we are to meet our Maker.

DDay, having chronic heart failure since 2001 you are very aware of the travails. It is appreciated to be called a good old fart. My wife calls an old fart.

  • Daily Topics - Thursday & Friday January 28th and 29th 2010   15 years 15 weeks ago

Gerald, I too read your post. I'm sorry to hear about your travails. I understand some of what you are experiencing. I have suffered from Chronic Heart Failure since 2001. It is a long inexorable slide with too many pokes, prods, tests, and meds to forget the inevitable. As someone who has found your posts sometimes annoying, I have also found great humanity in your writings at other times. Your interest in taking other's sensibilities in consideration is an indication of not only your good heart, but proof that your not done down here because you are still learning and improving. (At the risk of incurring the notice and wrath of TCL) You are a good ol'fart. Annoying, but good. Myself, I've only mastered annoying, so, you're ahead of me.

@ Loretta TCL is far too hilarious to have come from me. Ask my wife, she tells me almost every day that I'm not very funny. Thanks for the compliment though. I think it's Richard Adlof. There is an imp in him. I can hardly wait for TCL to go after Thom. He's part Nordic.

I just read your post, Gerald, and I am so very sorry to hear this, too. You need to do what is best for your health, but hopefully after sharing what is going on in your life, all of us will be more understanding of views different from our own. And that is a very good lesson to share! I am sending you tons of healing energy and hoping the medication works so very well.

Bonhoeffer in my opinion was a real christian who was murdered for being involved in a failed assasination attempt of Adolp Hitler. One should order or ILL the video http://www.bonhoeffer.com/news.htm

As a matter of fact there is a direct correlation between Bonhoeffer's resistance to Adolph Hitler and true christians who resist the false christian neocon agenda of Bush Cheney. People do not realize Germany was an extremly christian nation. It was German Nazi pastors who were responsible for indoctrinating the german masses for extermination of thw Jews.

As a matter of fact actual NAZI theology has entered into American christian theology unwittingly. Gerhard kittle was one of "Hitler's Theologians" and yes you can order that documentary as well. Kittle was arrested and imprisoned by the Allies after WWII. The cult leader I am speaking of uses Kittle's greek interpretations as support for his neocon cult in America since the 1960s.

My dear friends you are so far behind the neocons on theology. Neocon ideology revolves around "once saved always saved" PLUS the cult ideology of "right pastor". The "once saved always saved" concept was actually conceived by a populist Dr. Lewis Sperry Chafer. His neocon student who I will not mention here today was the cult leader who took Dr. Chafer's teachings and twisted them and ADDED the cult as essentially defined by Dr. Lifton.

Ok? Once saved always saved is used by neocons to justify every murder theft robbery every evil sin because only Jesus is perfect and you cannot "earn" salvation by your works only by faith in the perfect works of Christ can salvation be gained.

Now "once saved always saved" is not such a bad theory drawn from the bible, but? Jesus came to fufill the law not end it. Which means? There is MORALITY within the Law.( Neocons skip the morailty aprt). So? Still if someone is not "moral" that is not "christian" not "spiritual maturity or growth" and neocons should be called out on immorality. Also Paul said his "conscience" bears witness. So human conscience is a necessity for Christian spiritual growth. But basically instead of being perfect for salvation by our own works we are saved through faith in Jesus by Jesus' perfect works. Still not so bad but? When the cult neocon doctrine of "right pastor" is added? Wow what a mess. A "sodini" mess. Once the false neocon cult of only 1 "right" pastor per 1 "right" congregation with all unquestionable authority of God is attributed to and through the false paster? Whoa. The neocon reich pastor is the only one who can teach you so you can spiritually grow is added? Wow major evil. Once this 1 congregation is convinced they can't read the bible for themself? And their critical faculties are shutdown? The neocon cult leader runs every lie in the world past these (actually good intentioned Chriditian s who unwittingly ended up in a cult) christians and get them to submit to neocon lies as only one "right" neocon pastor indoctrinates.Essentially "Bush good" "Obama evil" "liberals evil" socialism evil" ok you listened and submitted to my authority you move step closer to maturity AND? Go vote neocon.
And? There is no biblical evidence for that wahtsoever. It is neocon imperial corporate fiction christianity.

What does this do? It justifies everything evil. You can murder and still go to heaven in neocon ideology you can be inhumane and still go to heaven in neocon ideology. You don't need a conscience according to neocon ideology of "once saved always saved". This is what Sodini the mass murderer believed. He did not fear hell while he mass murdered 3 women himself and wounded other women.

    Thom,

    Regarding the SOTUS decision:

Let me be honest. I am not a legal scholar. In fact I'm just a citizen with internet access and time on my hands.

I have been scouring the Federal Election Commission (FEC) website looking for the FEC decision prohibiting Citizens United (CU) from broadcasting "Hillary: The Movie". This is why the case came before the Supreme Court, right? If I remember eighth grade Civics, the case went something like this:

    1. The FEC denied Citizens United broadcast of Hillary: the movie and related advertisement
    2. Citizens United appealed the decision to the District Court of DC
    3. The District Court upheld the decision
    4. Citizens United appealed to the Supreme Court
    5. The Supreme Court grants corporations and unions the right to advertise on behalf of or against a candidate

This is how cases get to the Supreme Court. Someone is "harmed" and seeks restitution through the courts for this harm. If this someone does not agree with the ruling, the matter can be appealed to a higher court up to and including the Supreme Court. That is my simplified understanding of how our courts work.

What I have found is the District Court filing where Citizens United claims the FEC requirements are unconstitutional but nowhere is it mentioned that the FEC declared the movie or the ads related to the move in violation of the requirements. There is no reference to an FEC finding. In fact, the District Court documents explicitly find that the FEC had no objections to the ads to be broadcast within the restricted times. In regards to the ads, CU was claiming harm when no harm had been perpetrated.

The only violation of FEC rules seems to be the vehicle CU chose to broadcast the movie. Their intent was to broadcast via veiwer-on-demand (VOD) or more commonly, pay-per-view. A very restrictive interpretation of the rule prohibits the broadcast of expressed advocacy communication on broadcast, cable and satellite networks during the restricted times leading up to an election. Since VOD are broadcast on cable and satellite infrastructure, one can make the claim that the rule applies. Again, my research has unearthed no finding by the FEC in regards to CU's broadcasting of Hillary: the Movie prior to CU filing their claim in district court. To the contrary, CU filing its complaint in district court forced the FEC to make a determination. Again, CU was claiming harm when no harm had been perpetrated.

Did Citizens United bring this case to court absent harm in a masochist attempt to expand the First Amendment beyond the Founding Fathers intentions? Did the Supreme Court find harm where no harm had been committed? Can the Constitution be abrogated on the mere idea that harm may be committed?

Need "We the People" be reminded that the Revolution was not fought solely because of "taxation without representation" as the revisionist history books would have us believe? In fact, the rebels were fighting for freedom from the tyranny brought on by a government corrupted by corporations. Namely, the East India Trading Company, which through the tax policies of the Crown, was destroying commerce in the Americas. As history has a way of repeating itself, we are again finding ourselves subdued by a tyrannical corporate steamroller and a fragmented government averse to restraining it.

@ Gerald, sorry to hear that you're going through such personal trials. I hope that any trip you might take to the supernatural side of life, is later rather than sooner. Since I know nothing more of you than what I have read from your blog statements, I think it would be arrogant and foolish for me to hazard a comment as to the worthiness of your soul. However, I can say that I have found your writing to be thoughtful, and I have appreciated that you (along with everyone else who blogs here) has taken the time to share personal opinions.

Where do I start? I have so much to say but I will try to limit my comments from being a thesis.

I have said to you that I enjoy pissing off people but those words limit a person’s class. Even though I have no class, I should try to develop some class. For example, I need to not say, “piss off people” and replace the words with “to shake people from their comfort zone.” Saying comfort zone will add some class to my comments.

My comments need to be a balancing act. Are my comments meeting these conditions for a mortal sin? Here are the three conditions necessary for a mortal sin. The first condition is “a grave matter;” the second condition is that I have full knowledge of “a grave matter;” and the third condition is “a complete consent” toward the grave matter. Even though I want to shake people from their comfort zone, are my comments “a grave matter?” Mass murders, torture, and war crimes are grave matters!!!

I aim to educate and share information. I do not wish to display a hardness of the heart in educating people. Yet, every person is different. Some people become discombobulated with words like puke and breaking wind. Personally, the use of these words is not a grave matter. These words are aimed to graphically highlight a certain comment or comments.

Thom does a good job of educating his listeners. In fact his ideas and thoughts can resolve many of our problems and send us toward a great society. We do have people who can put our country in the right direction. But, we remain a divided nation with hatred, corruption, and lies running rampart among our people.

I have previously used the term a balancing act because I must live in the natural world while I am preparing for the supernatural world. My cardio-electro-physiologist and my cardiologist in consultation with my family doctor have said that I am taking the necessary medication to ease many of my health issues. However, the increase of fluid around the heart and into the lungs is a serious concern. I have been given another medication to slow the fluid build up. This new prescription is a powerful medication. I will need to reduce the stressors in my life, such as commenting and posting on blogs. This medication is my last chance at preventing congestive heart failure.

The monitoring of medication and the dosage is a finite balancing act in an effort to help me stay alive.

I am sharing this information with you because my preparation for the supernatural world must exclude mortal sins in the natural world that would damn the soul for eternity. Hopefully, my comments are not shaking you from your comfort zone to a large degree or inflicting too much discombobulation in your life.

Let's use a new framing: "Decriminalize the import of legal drugs."

If it is unconstitutional to discriminate between corporate and natural persons for purposes of speech, it should likewise be unconstitutional to permit drug manufacturers to make their drugs abroad and bring them here, but to prevent individuals from importing the very same thing.

Besides, prosecuting individual Americans who wish only to stay alive is insane.

As head of the Executive Branch, the President has discretion to decide where to put our limited law-enforcement resources and should order every agency of the Federal Government not to investigate nor to prosecute any individual American citizen who brings legal, life-saving medicines into our country.

Meanwhile, Congress should DECRIMINALIZE granny importing her legal drugs.
