Obama cannot seem to keep the people who dislike him from the people who are undecided. However, more and more people are starting to decide and it does not look good for Obama.
Nels, running a campaign will help a person to be elected but it does not reveal if the person can run the government.
His advisors are very poor. Rahm Emmauel (sp) needs to do the country a favor and retire. With friends like Rahm who needs enemies.
A person who drives the middle of the road will be hit by cars going both ways.
I do not expect Obama to resign but he is not person that i thought he would be for our country. He is the Grand Experiment that has failed our citizens.

Equal Protection under the law means that since corporations have limited liability for the wrongs they do, and canNOT be jailed nor executed ... the Supreme Court has outlawed not only the Death Penalty but jail itself, and strictly limited PERSONal liability for anything you do.
We'll save a LOT of money letting all those prisoners go!

We can not have an inclusive society when only a few enjoy the spoils of Capitalism. Wealth writes the rules no matter who is in charge. Republicans are the wolves, they are proud to be wolves and are damn good wolves. The Dems in Congress are nothing more than wolves in sheep clothing. We have been fooled. They have no interest in change or we would have it by now.

@Gerald, I never thought Obama as a progressive leader. He governs from the middle, no doubt about it. However, he is a leader, he is quite capable in this area if you don't believe it, review how he ran his campaign. One of his problems is this, his advisers are piss poor and obviously giving him wretched and misleading insights. Another problem is (as others far wiser than I have pointed out) the only things in the middle of the road are dead animals and a yellow stripe.
Now then, you're calling for Obama to resign, fine with me.... but who, who will step into his position? Biden? Pelosi? someone else, and what will they do. Historically from their political choices, I cannot assume it will be any different. So who is your solution, who will be allowed to be President that will be progressive. As I said earlier, I'd be happy with Dean, or Kucinich. I'd also be happy with universal health care, American manufacturing protections, higher taxes on the wealthy (enforced) and a pretty pink pony to ride through lollipop land on Sundays. I'll work toward two out of three of those desires that I think are doable.

Oh on the content of the article, Senator Jim Imhoff knows better about science than scientists at EPA. Guess who the three dems are? Buhler? Buhler?

Senators Offer Disapproval Resolution to Block EPA Endangerment Actions

U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) on Jan. 21 introduced a bipartisan disapproval resolution to stop the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency from regulating greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions under the Clean Air Act.
Murkowski's resolution ─ co-sponsored by 35 Republicans and three Democrats ─ comes in the wake of the EPA's recent endangerment finding, which will result in regulations that Murkowski says will endanger America's economy.
"As the EPA moves closer and closer to issuing these regulations, I continue to believe that this command-and-control approach is our worst option for reducing the emissions blamed for climate change," Murkowski said.
Murkowski, the ranking Republican on the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee and a strong proponent of moving the nation toward a cleaner energy future, said the disapproval resolution is necessary to avoid the "economic train wreck" that would result from the EPA regulating GHGs under the Clean Air Act.
"Our bipartisan resolution deals with an incredibly important question: whether or not members of this body are comfortable with the actions EPA will take under its current interpretation of the Clean Air Act. I'm not comfortable with those actions, and neither are the senators who have already agreed to add their names to this effort," Murkowski said. "The Clean Air Act was written by Congress to regulate criteria pollutants, not greenhouse gases, and its implementation remains subject to oversight and guidance from elected representatives. We should continue our work to pass meaningful energy and climate legislation, but in the meantime, we cannot turn a blind eye to the EPA's efforts to impose back-door climate regulations with no input from Congress."
Murkowski said EPA regulation could force businesses to cut jobs or close their doors for good; severely restrict domestic energy production, increasing our dependence on foreign suppliers and threatening our national security; make housing less affordable and consumer goods more expensive.
"If you truly believe that EPA climate regulations are good for the country, then vote to oppose our resolution," Murkowski said. "But if you share our concerns, and believe that climate policy should be debated in Congress, then vote with us to support it."
Upon introduction, a disapproval resolution is referred to the committee of jurisdiction, which in this case will be the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works. If the committee does not favorably report the resolution, it may be discharged upon petition by 30 senators. Once a disapproval resolution is placed on the Senate calendar, it is then subject to expedited consideration on the Senate floor, and not subject to filibuster.

If giving Corporations free speech will result in more speech, then it follows that the "group of persons" that make up the corporations will have more free speech than those who do not belong to corporations. Is this unequal protection?
Corporations are more like kingdoms than democracies. Why are we giving Kings free speech rights?

I believe in the ideals of our fore fathers and cherish my country. I will fight to make it better. Your blanket statements are shrill and in my opinion hurtful to those who are trying their best help find solutions. Politically, many of your messages are poison. As to teaching your children to think for themselves...that's nurture. Good on you. Remember! there is nature too.
