This Wisconsin example is just another example of the efforts of our nation's "Reverse Robin Hood Republicans." Republicans have used the name "Tax and Spend Democrats" quite effectively over the years. We SHOULD be referring to them as "Reverse Robin Hood Republicans" accordinlgy, because as you have pointed out, the justification for such a description of their policies is overwhelmingly valid.
They try so hard to look busy. Addressing the needs of the poor who must be taught to fend for themselves. Tending to the needs of the rich who must not be punished for being successful, and of course, lowering the minimum wage to promote job creation. It all makes perfect sense if you're an ass hole.
Thom, the real issue on the fertilized eggs issue is that most cultures - including our own - consider a woman's body to be community property. One of the most brilliant commentaries on this is from Carol J. Adams, who points out the similarities in the way we treat human females & other female animals we use for food. She points out that we sexualize violence against women & anaimals, & insert ourselves into the reproductive functions of both.
Hillary Clinton is just as pro war as any Bush. She voted in lockstep in favor of the AUMF, The Patriot Act, and anything else the Bush White House asked for. She supports Israel and is completely in bed with Wall Street Banks who just walked off with $$Billions of our tax dollars without any accountability. Perhaps worse of all, unless I'm deaf, she hasn't uttered one word about fixing the free trade mess that her husband left us with. She is nothing more than a corporate whore; and, I wouldn't trust her any farther than I could throw the Washington monument.
If you ask me, the entire purpose of a Jeb Bush candidacy is to force a fear stricken electorate into a knee jerk vote for the "lesser of two evils." Let's face it folks, even good old Beelzebub, Satan, himself, in this case, would qualify as the lesser of two evils when up against any member of the Bush family. If you ask me, Hillary/Shillary is exactly what Wall Street, Corporate America, and the Pentagon want, all wrapped up into one bought and paid for package. Either way, they can't lose. Support Senator Bernie Sanders for president NOW!
Jeb Bush!...I remember that guy, he was the governor of Florida on election day when Gore was leading Jeb's brother 3 to 1 late afternoon in the highest populated voting centers in Florida, yet Bush still won???? Trillions in spending on illegal wars later, the Jebster wants to be president...yeah right!
"There ought to be limits to freedom" .....George Bush 1999
Chuckles, here is the link again. It will give you something to do while you wait for Steyer's check. https://www.euronuclear.org/info/encyclopedia/p/pow-gen-ger.htm BTW, Dr. Wilson uses AGEB Data for his paper. AGEB is the German equivelent of the US Department of Energy.
Some would say Hillary Clinton doesn't have the same "extremist" military point of view you characterized Jeb Bush to possess, but what kind of judgment does it show when Hillary also drank the Republican cool-aid. Is she an extremist for hawkishly supporting Israel. You could substitute Hillary's name wherever Jeb's name is written and you would almost have the same candidate - the only difference is that Hillary would allow a little more debate on bombing the Middle East whereas Jeb Bush would prefer to "rush to judgment" as way to show a manly gesture amongst his other reasons.
Have you ever heard Hillary in any public appearance, in written articles, at Congressional hearings say.... I would have urged my daughter Chelsea back then to have also volunteer in the front lines of Iraq, Afghanistan, and anywhere else globally because I believe our nation's security and economy are truly at risk and I wouldn't want to appear like a hypocrite to suggest that serving our country is mostly for the working and middle class poor.
Over the 4 years since I moved into my apartment (in a Denver suburb), rent has gone up at an average of 5.44% per year, while my hourly wage has gone up at an average of only 3.85% per year. There's no way the working class can survive like this.
My saving graces, for now, are overtime and working closer to home, which is saving me a lot of gas money.
With the poisonous effects of chemicals in nail salons, how about women just stop getting their nails done? I prefer the look of unpainted and fairly short nails on women. They don't need all that stuff, so it's a waste of time, money, materials, and now health.
The FEC is supposed to police elections, but it's structured to prevent action. The rule shouldn't be that a majority of the 3 Democrats and 3 Republicans is necessary to prosecute; it should be changed to require only 3 members' consent.
If you like the chaos in middle east now. The hell of ISIS and the instability of all the governments then another Bush is what you really want. In fact another Republican should usher in world War III
This is why I feel that, yes, we do need to reverse Citizens United; but, just as much (IF NOT MORE) we need to overturn the FCC Ruling that took our networks and made them corporate propaganda machines.
Our airwaves use to be public domain. With our (somewhat ignorant) citizenry being spoon-fed hate and fear, we just have no coesion as a population. Where we get truer news from RT and Al Jazeera, it is truly a filthy mess.
Quote Kend: then the same can be said with electricity. More poeple die from being electrocuted
Kend, as an electrician, I have to take exception to that statement. Electricity doesn't leak out of pipes or spill along railroad tracks; it doesn't seep into your house and destroy your lungs; it doesn't explode into huge fireballs and wipe out small towns (there has to be an explosive agent present when a spark occurs); it doesn't contaminate the environment, once the switch is off, it's gone. It kills only if you come into direct contact with it. In fact, the number one cause of death for electricians and linemen is BEING DISTRACTED WHILE WORKING ON LIVE ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS.
The IBEW (one of the few unions I find acceptable), and it's predecessors, has made great strides in making electrical work much safer than it used to be; there was a time when an electrician/lineman was being killed on the job EVERY 12 MINUTES.
Comparing the hazards of oil/gas transport to electricity, just doesn't work for me.
Chuckles. According to several sources (that I will cite at the end of this brief response), German sources for electricity generation are as follows:
In 2013 the gross electric power generation in Germany totalled 631 billion kWh. A major proportion of the electricity supply is based on lignite (25.5 %), hard coal (19.4 %) and nuclear energy (15.4 %). Natural gas has a share of 10.6 %. Renewables (wind, water, biomass, photovoltaic) account for 24.1 %.
Photovoltaic accounted for only 4.8% of the renewables. Please tell me 1 nation that is using hemp as a generating source for electricity.

A transformer exploded at the Indian Point nuclear power plant in suburban New York - only 35 miles away from midtown Manhattan - on Saturday, sending black smoke billowing into the sky.
The blaze, which sparked an oil leakage, forced the automatic shutdown of the facility's Unit 3 reactor, which sits near the Hudson River and supplies five per cent of the power to the state.
It was initially extinguished by a sprinkler system and on-site personnel, officials said. It then started up again, but has since been put out. Police and firefighters were at the site as a 'precaution'.

The transformer at Unit 3 takes energy created by the plant and changes the voltage for the grid supplying power to New York. It was not immediately clear what caused it to fail at around 6pm.
It is also unclear whether the transformer will be repaired or replaced. The adjacent Unit 2 reactor was not affected by the failure, and there were no injuries, Entergy spokesman Jerry Nappi said.
However, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, who was briefed on the transformer's failure at the site on Saturday, said the fire had caused oil to leak, which could possibly spill into the river.

Nuclear waste will remain extremely toxic for over 50,000 years. This an incredibly long time; there are fewer than 10,000 years of human history.
