- Mercury is retrograde and it's Friday 13th. According to the Dutch center for accident statistics, Friday 13th has fewer accidents, etc.

Another filibuster, on windfall profits tax. Supreme Court, habeas corpus. Now the Patriot Act, National Guard executive order? "Trading with the enemy" article. America's rating overseas. He hopes we go further. The south could produce so much renewable energy. Health care.
For $3 billion - one week in Iraq - we could build hundreds of federally qualified health centers to provide primary health care for all. If we invested in sustainable energy, mass transportation, the infrastructure instead of tax breaks for millionaires, we could create millions of well paid jobs. Sherman Anti-Trust Act. Peter DeFazio's claim yesterday about offshore drilling permits: 6,492 out of 10000 undeveloped. There was a press conference at the House yesterday. The Farm bill is mostly a nutrition plan, e.g. food stamps. The farm stuff was to make it pass. There will be skip loads of new students if the GI bill passes. It benefits the whole nation.
