Only a mere four days after taking back control of the House of Representatives – Republicans are already drunk on power. Speaking at the Heritage Foundation yesterday, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell discussed the GOP’s agenda over the next two years and it can be summed up in 2 words: Dump Obama. McConnell says that the only way Republicans can succeed in passing legislation to repeal health care reform, end bailouts, and cut spending is to, “put someone in the White House who won't veto any of these things.” Keep in mind that a plan to simply repeal health care reform and end bailouts won’t do anything to bring down the nation’s nearly 10% unemployment rate – So the American people shouldn’t expect any real solutions to come out of the House for the next two years. Republicans have already made their choice – politics over policy. And they are not going to budge as indicated by GOP Congressman Mike Pence who said there will be, “no compromise” with Democrats on their legislative agenda. “Are you listening President Obama?!” This statement comes on the heels of a new Reuters poll that said 56% of voters want to see bipartisan consensus on policy making and according to a CBS poll – 78% of Republicans - that’s Republicans! - want their party to compromise to get things done. There you have it - it only took less than a week for the GOP to completely ignore voters. As Harry Truman said 1948 when he accepted the Democratic nomination, “the people know that the Democratic Party is the people's party, and the Republican party is the party of special interest, and it always has been and always will be.” Something’s don’t change. And if Obama doesn’t start acting like Harry Truman, they never will.

We need to start a new meme and repeat it over and over again for the next 2 years. Everytime the Republicans move, we need to talk about their offense and repeat this new phrase. It a rebuttal to what Reagan used to say:

"The nine most terrifying words in the English language are, "I'm a Republican and I'm here to govern you."

I am disappointed in Obama's reaction to the outcome of the election. He asserts that he failed to properly compromise with the right.

I digress.

The health care issue stands out. You can't deal with such mind sets by caving in to their lobby. You have to put your foot down and veto the garbage they offer as concessions to the objective. If nothing gets done and there is hell to pay as a consequence then so be it . All the concessions that Obama made on health care are now used against him to the point of repeal. That is what he gets for compromise , thats what he deserves for compromise and the rest comes in as a huge waste of time and money.

I WOULD LIKE TO SAY IS IF I WAS PRESEDINT OF THE USA I WOULD CHANGE ALOT. ONE THING IS I WOULD DO AS CLOSE OFF THE BOARDERS COLD TURKEY. DO SOME MAJOR HOUSE CLEANING. THE TRHIRD THING I WOULD AS CHANGE IT SO THAT OUR MONEY SYSTEM WOULD NOT BE OFF THE WORTH OF GOLD IT WOULD BE WORTH OFF THE THE PERSON. THAT MEENS THAT THE MORE MONEY YOU SAVE THE MORE YOU GET. THE MONEYS WORTH MORE THE MORE IS PRINTED. I AM DISABL,ED AND THERE IS MAJOR PROBLEMS BECAUSE I CAN'T GET A JOB AND IF I GET MARRIED I LOSE EVEN MORE BENNIFETS. IT SEAMS THAT THE DISABLED PERSON CAN'T GET AHEAD IN LIFE. ANOTHER THING IS THAT I WOULD DO IS CHANGE THE WORK WEEK. IT WOULD 3 DAYS PER WEEK AT 4 HOURS PER DAY. THIS IF YOU ARE PART TIME YOU DON'T GET BENNIFITS CRAP WOULD STOP. AS WELL I WOULD MAKE PUBLIC TRANSIT BETTER AROUND THE USA. PEOPLE TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THERE CARE AND THE CONVENIENCE OF JUST HOPING IN AND DRIVING ANY WHERE AT ANY TIME. I AM DISABLED AND I CAN'T DO THAT LEAGLEY BLIND AND IN A POWER CHAIR. I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE THESE CHANGES TO THIS COUNTRY. THERE WOULD NO LONGER BE A INCOME TAX. AND IF YOU ARE A DISABLED PERSON AND YOU DON'T HAVE A JOB OF ANY KIND BECAUSE YOU CAN'T WORK YOU WILL GET 3 TIMES THE MONEY THAN WHAT YOUR BILLS ARE. NOW EVEERYONE IS REQUIRED TO SAVE A MINUM AMOUNT OF 650.00 PER MONTH. ON TOP OF THAT LETS SAY THAT YOUR RENT IS 150.00 DOLLARS AND FOR EVERYONE FOR YOUR FOOD BUDGET YOULD BE PER PERSON 350.00 PER MONTH. YOUR LIGHTS ARE 375.00 PER MONTH. YOU HAVE A CREDIT CARD AND THE LIMIT IS 500.00 YOU WOULD GET PER MONTH 1500.00 FOR THE CREDIT CARD BILL. SO BASICLY THERE WOULD BE A MINIMUN ALLOWANCE TO ALL LEGAL AMERICANS. ANY ONE THAT IS NOT A LEGAL AMERICAN OR THAT HAS NOT BEEN BORN IN THIS COUNTRY WOILL BE BOOTED AND WILL NOT BE PRITMITED TO EVER RETURN BECAUSE THE BROK THE LAW AND CAME HERE ILLEAGLEY AND RIGHT NOW WE HAVE TOO MANY PEOPLE AND NOT ENOUGH MONEY TO GO AROUND. TAKE AS EXAMPLE THERE IS A ROOM AND 100 PEOPLE IN THE ROO AND 10.00 DOLLARS IS DESTRUBITED TO THOSE IN THE ROOM THAH MEENS THAT THERE IS GOING TO BE MOST OF THE PEOPLE WILL NOT HAVE MONEY OR VERY LITTLE. AND A VERY SMALL AMOUNT OF THE PEOPLE WILL HAVE MOST OF THAT MONEY. WE NEED TO HELP OUR SELFS FIRST AND KEEP JOBS IN THE GOOD OLD USA. ONCE WE HAVE DONE THAT THEN IF WE NEED MORE TO JOIN THE US COMMUNITY THEN WE WOULD DO BACK GROUND CHECKS AND LET A SMALL AMOUNT OF PEOPLE IN TH THE US TO BECOME US SITIZINS. SO LIKE IF I LET 5 MEXICONS IN THE US I WOULD LET 5 SWEETISH AS WELL AS MANY OTHER RACES PER YEAR AND SO IT WOULD BE EQUIL AND FAIR. NOW IF THAT PERSON COMMITS A CHRIME THEY CAN BE PLACED IN PRISON AND THEN ASTER THEY SERVE THERE TIME THEY WOULD BE SENT BACK TO THERE OWN COUNTRY AND NEVER BE PRITMITED TO EVER BECOME A US SITIZIN. ONE THING IS I WOULD WOULD PROMOTE TOURSIM AND ENTERTAINMENT FOR EVERYONE. AS WELL THERE WOULD BE A MAX INCOME WAGE AND DEPENDING WHAT YOUR TRADE IS WHAT YOU ARE PAID AND IF YOU ARE A DISABILED PERSON THAT CAN'T WORK CAN EARN AT LEAST HALF OF THE MAIN WAGE. IF YOU ARE DISABLED AND YOU CAN WORK BUT JUST A LITTLE BIT EVEN IF YOU DO EARN MORE THA WHAT YOU WOULD BEABLE TO EARN AND KEEP YOUR SSI OR AND YOUR SSA OR GOBERMENT ASSESTANCE INCOME THEN THE MONEY YOU WOULD BE PUT IN A SPECIAL TIPE OF SAVINGS ACCOUNT AND INTREST WOULD BE EARNED SO IF WHEN YOU RETIRE AND OR IF YOU CAN'T CONTINUE ON WORKING YOU WILL HAVE MORE MONEY AFTER YOU RETIRE THAN YOU WOULD OF MADE PER MONTH THAN WHEN YOU WERE WORKING. THERE WOULD BE SPECIAL WORK SHOPS THAT WOULD BE FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES THAT COULD NOT WORK IN THE REGULAR WORK FORCE AND THEY WOULD NOT JUST GET PAID MINUM WAGE THEY WOULD GET PAID MAXUM WAGE OR MEDUM WAGE. AS WELL I WOULD MAKE IT SO THE MONEY WE USE NOW WOULD NO LONGER BE IN CERULATION. THE MONEY WE WOULD USE WOULD BE A NEW LOOK AND THE ONLY PICTURES OF PRESIDENTS WOULD BE ORU FOUNDING 4 FATHERS. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS YOUCAN CALL ME AT 801-915-4003 OR 801-994-6952... ADAM GUYMON...

Sorry to say but, the American people are too uninformed to get that the republicans are the party of the rich, most Americans watch biased news and think that they are being informed.

Sad to say but, until we have a prolonged depression, most Americans won't stop watching the television and really get what's happening.

Actually this mid term election outcome is a direct result of President Obama and the Democratic Leadership being too timid in their agenda.

Harry Reid should have suspended the filibuster rule at the start of the last congress and the Democrats should have pushed through a middle class agenda without the republicans or blue dogs. Remember Mitch McConnell threatening to go "nuclear" over the John Roberts and Alieto confirmations hearings to the Supreme Court, THEY WON and we lost!

I'm afraid we won't have that chance again for many years.

It will take a LONG time for Americans to wake up. Unfortunately they practice intellectual inbreeding as Rachel Maddow outlined in her show on 11/4. They won't learn anything because they only listen to FOX and the broadcast media which supports the Republican agenda. Also, people still choose to believe the old "tax and spend" Liberal characteristic regardless of all proof to the contrary. I have lost faith in the Democrats ability to fight, stand on principle and promote their accomplishments and I have lost faith in the intellectual abilities of the majority of American people. They'd rather watch garbage 'reality' TV!

Yes, it's almost like Obama wanted his administration to fail from the get go. Why on earth otherwise would he go after " National Heathcare" legislation ? And to do so, right out of the box, was, is political suicide...It’s no secret that was Hilary's National Heathcare was the sole reason the GOP when to such extremes to attack President Clinton, resulting in his impeachment..I can't help but believe that whomever advised Obama to jump on this issue, real agenda was to DESTORY and Discredit the OBAMA administration as so the GOP could gain back control of the Whitehouse…....and if Obama was to dumb to see that, which it appears he was, then he's too dumb for me to vote for again. Besides, he doing just the opposite of what he said he'd do when he was running for office But that’s another story in itself...In reality, I'm thinking this guy is A BAD APPLE....Maybe the whole Democratic party is for that matter...they're either bad or real dumb...Take your pick.

The people have already changed. The voting machines have not changed. They allow the vote counters to decide our elections. Until we have the true vote counts and a paper trail, nothing will change to help the people.

So, the GOP's number one objective is to "dump Obama." That's very telling. It's not to find a way to create more jobs. It's not how they can lower the deficit and balance the budget. It's not how they can help the American people in this time of economic disparity. It's not how they can create an atmosphere of cordiality, less partisanship, more cooperation. It really is so sad that the majority of voters in this midterm election felt that THIS was the party for them, THIS was the party that most closely represented tTHEM--truly very sad (for all the rest of us).

We live in the Corporate Staes of America. That's it.

Human beings don't matter. Only greed and money matter. Only Corporate 'beings' matter.

I'm in an area with a radio channel that carries Thom, Norman, Stephanie, & Ed daily. After work last night Norm was explaining the situation (with KO on MSNBC) and the signal went dead until after he finished the scenario. It's not the first time I have noticed this type of dead air when an important subject was being explained. And that is on a progressive channel. I know the voice of truth and reason is totally squashed by the voice of lies and manipulation on the air waves. Example: $200,000,000 per day for Obamas current trip. The sheeple will be spouting that 'statistic' until they are on their deathbeds.

The voice of our smart, truthful, and caring progressive speakers can never sway the weak minded followers of the 'Pied Piper of Shamlet'(do I have to say who I mean?...doubt it)

There is no network of reason. I feel resistance IS futile. The President won't attack the repugnicans no matter how horrible they are to him, the Democratic party refuses to adopt the sound bite strategy that cleary works, and there is no network of information that can penetrate FOX's hold on the 'American mind'.

I'm sick to my stomach about what is coming and I'm sorry to sound negative. I did not think I could feel any worse than the day 'w" took the oath of office. I was negative and sick to my stomach then too( and I was completely underestimating the evil that would be done). I never thought it could be any worse than that. But we are a nation completely ruled by lies. These lying, human hating, fake crying people have just been elected on their way to the next step in 2012.

Then of course too there is the arrogance that we have to listen to on top of it all.

I see a lot of people hitting on the topic of We The People being so terribly mis/dis-informed, but I don't see many saying we need to fix that problem. Faux news, Rush Limpballs, and their ilk should be dragged out into the daylight, and flogged for their shameful deeds.
