Blue Dog Democrats support killing 15 million jobs

On Capitol Hill – Blue Dog Democrats have signaled a willingness to join Republicans in support of a Balanced Budget Amendment. According to a report from the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities – the Balanced Budget Amendment will kill 15 million jobs – double the unemployment rate – and shrink the economy by 17%. But instead of hanging this devastating economic policy solely around the necks of Republicans – Blue Dog Dems want to spread some of the blame around to themselves.

I guess they never listened to the advice of Harry Truman when he said – if voters have a choice between a Republican and a Democratic who acts like a Republican – they’ll choose the Republican every time. Truman was right – in the 2010 election – half of the entire Blue Dog caucus of Conservative Democrats was kicked out of office. And by supporting the Balanced Budget Amendment – it could happen again.

Palindromedary, this is a good slogan for the police, especially FROM the police who join the OWS.

"One comment I read at that YouTube video that Cygnus1 recommended about the retired police Captain joining OWS...the comment said that "the police should wake up and smell their pensions burning." Maybe more OWS protesters should carry signs that says just that. It might make them think twice about who their real friends should be and who their real enemies are."

Retired Police Capt Slams NYPD Conduct - "Disgusting," "Totally Uncalled For" - Joins OWS

RT with Thom Hartmann and a helper newsstation www.presstv.ir give excellent coverage on the Wall Street Occupation. The police are accosting people in wheelchairs, 84 yr old people, and on the barbarism continues! Soon we have Amnesty International on the scene. A good Peoples to now contact for their voice and support. - Cygnus1

Cignus1: Did you see that 84 year old lady on TV whose face was blasted with mace? Poor thing! Man these gestapo pigs should be ashamed of themselves...beating up and macing old people...who know that they have no where else to turn but to demonstrate. It is a life or death situation for many people...and not just old people.

If it isn't the sound of their pensions burning maybe OWS will start a bonfire of their own and relieve some of these syphilitic-brained gestapo pigs from having to worry about their pensions...and throw the blue dogs on the pyre as well.
(disclaimer: the vivid and violent language in this blog entry is to be in no way interpreted as being literal, and is figuratively used--I do not condone violence...so how does one define violence? Is it violence when people are herded into a gas chamber? Is it violence when banksters herd people into poverty, hunger, no shelter, no medical care? ...all things that will precipitate the same end effects upon people worldwide as the Nazis herding people into the gas chambers...albeit done more slowly.)

Thom and Louise, excellent topic.

The Balanced Budget Amendment. The idea to balance the budget comes from elected politicians, right? And are they not usually the ones with the smallest of minds to understand how their country really works? How have the Peoples become to be an electorate to think that "elected chosen ones through the ballot box" really know what they are doing when they come up with this ridiculous idea of "balancing the budget"?

In contrast to politicians, who are for the most part ignorant in understanding of the implications for fiscal decisions they wish to impose on the public, the 1% know and understand exactly all aspects of policy disasters they are pushing for. We have an intelligence gap between the 1% and the politicians, although many politicians tend to migrate rather naturally into the camp of the rich.

BALANCING THE BUDGET and AUSTERITY are both clearly understood in nature and consequence to the general public by the 1%, and as both measures fall upon severe dentrimental consequences for the Peoples of these United States of America, the super rich fleecers of the public purse will push both measures on all political mindless ones.*

Let us explain, please, what we mean:

When government overspends, they sell bonds to the bank in return for money. At that time both are equal in value. But then the bank says: But you must pay us interest on the monies we lent you. The bought out politicians in government then say: okay! And who do they commit the debt to? THE TAXPAYERS! And when the cost to taxpayers for government selling bonds to the banks is tallied up after, say, 25 years, the cost of the bonds sold to banks 25 years ago have risen manyfold as a standing debt to the taxpayer BECAUSE OF INTEREST CHARGES ON THEM!

You may ask: What has that to do with "balancing the budget"?

EVERYTHING! Government and taxpayers have become the scape-goats of a banker's trick by agreeing to pay interest on brand-new money pumped into circulation by the banks, and "balancing the budget" will not replace the funds into the economy it needs for paying interest on the national debt!

The Peoples of these United States as well as the Peoples globally have permitted the banks to corner everyone into a situation where UNLESS THE GOVERNMENT DEFICIT (OVERSPENDING) IS FED INTO CIRCULATION IN THE FORM OF REAL CASH IN THE HANDS OF THE PEOPLE, THE MONEY SUPPLY WILL SHRINK TO WHERE WITHIN A FEW YEARS NO FUND WILL BE LEFT FOR THE PEOPLES TO DO BUSINESS WITH!!

Are not politicians criminally stupid? We think they are to even consider such a thing! What the Blue Dog Democrats are considering will just not work as a solution to the problems politicians created 200 years ago, when they copulated with British banks to permit the universal implementation of USURY against the hard-working peoples of this nation as well as the nations of the entire world.

*These politicians do not mind what is going on and with so many being bought out at the same time by the 1% and their Washington worker eyes, there is little hope any dramatic change will ever occur but the scene will get worse, a lot worse, before it even gets better if the military does not quickly step in. - Cygnus1

Palindromedary, no I did not see the 84 yr old lady on TV. I read about her on the internet. And speaking about killing 15 million more jobs, it seems someone is trying to kill somebody else, and that person being the President of these United States of America, foreign controlled as he is.

The police are acting no differently than the police in Israel against armless Palestinians, Watch the brutality also of the British police, and so on. All militarized police are controlled by the 1%. The PEOPLES need their MILITARY BACK TO MAKE THE POLICE BACK DOWN.

A man was arrested trying to shoot U.S. Foreign controlled President Obama. He had an Israel tatoo on himself as well as prayer beads. President Obama had been on the phone with French President Sarkozy and refuses to call an attack on Iran. - Cygnus1

Sarkozy calls Netanyahu a 'liar' in talks with Obama

NEXT:

New Law By Obama To Jail 500,000 American Citizens Or More For The Crime Of Opposing Their Government.

"Sparking the concern of Russian diplomats over the growing totalitarian bent of the Obama government is the planned reintroduction of what these reports call one of the most draconian laws ever introduced in a free society that is titled “The Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act”.

First introduced in the US Congress in 2007 by Democratic Representative Jane Harmon, this new law passed the US House of Representatives by a secretive voice vote, but failed to pass the US Senate, after which it was believed dead until this past week when it was embraced by Obama who became the first American President to name his own citizens as a threat to his Nations security."

Somehow, we do not think this is the foreign controlled U.S. President who is behind this, but he certainly will take the flack for it. When he compromised the White House chair before he took it, he should have stepped back and not disgraced his name, the name of his family, his nation, his brothers and sisters, and he would not have had so much blood on his hands due to the countless wars which continue escalating.

Fame of whom one is in this life does not often reach into the next life, but what you do in the fame of the last life will be looked at by the Akashic Council between lives and determine that which you will deal with in a future life. We are speaking here of those who have prominance on the world scene, whether to the positive or to the negative. - Cygnus1

Two cops fired over horrific video which shows them beating up suspect - then CELEBRATING

"Two cops have been fired after being filmed brutally beating a suspect then doing a celebratory chest bump.

The shocking footage shows the officers holding the man down, punching him and kicking him in the head more than a dozen times.

As he lies motionless on the concrete the officers move away - and bump each other in the sick celebration." Source whatreallyhappened.com

One wonders if he were not just an armed patriot with trumped up charges against him. This happens all of the time. There are an astronomical number of people in jail who have had charges laid against them which were absolutely false. The so-call "Law" continues in carrying out death sentences against the innocent in order to stop all talk about who indeed was responsible for which crime.

This man looks like he was simply one of the Protesters, demanding his Constitutional Rights. The Police are becoming ever more sadistic and immoral, but it is their own souls which are at stake. They, in the end, alone, each one, will pay for what they do in debt to those whom they abuse.

If these actions as well as other actions of brutality do not draw the U.S. Military out in full force, then, perhaps boot camp did more damage to their souls than we suspect. These Policemen and Policewomen who compete with one another in these atrocities against the PEOPLES OF THESE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, ARE NOT UNITED STATES POLICEMEN AND UNITED STATES POLICEWOMEN, RATHER THEY BELONG TO THOSE SAME ONES WHO SEND DEADLY DRONES TO BOMB THE PEOPLES OF THE NATIONS, AND THERE IS NO PATRIOTIC SPIRIT LEFT IN THEM. - Cygnus!

US wants news blackout on Afghan deal
Thu Nov 17, 2011 7:19PM

Loya jirga spokeswoman Safia Sediqi A senior Afghan official says that Washington wants a complete media blackout over the conditions set in its strategic long-term deal with Kabul. Afghan people are against the plan, dismissing it as a ploy for indefinite neo-colonial occupation"

Speaking at a press conference in the capital Kabul on Thursday, loya jirga spokeswoman Safia Sediqi said the common complaint among participants of the traditional gathering on the second day of the event was that they were not been provided with any information about the terms and conditions the United States has set out for its long-term deal with Afghanistan, state-funded BBC Persian news network reported.

The loya jirga, called by President Hamid Karzai, kicked off in the Afghan capital Kabul on Wednesday. The four-day meeting discusses Afghanistan's relationship with the United States, and is mainly centered on long-term US bases in Afghanistan after US-led foreign troops withdraw in 2014.

Afghan religious and political figures have voiced strong opposition to US plans to set up long-term or permanent military bases in the war-torn country.

The United States has failed to achieve its goals after 10 years of war in Afghanistan. Many parts of the Asian country still remain insecure despite the presence of nearly 150,000 US-led foreign forces there.

Experts believe Washington's new strategy of establishing long-term military bases will only serve to raise anti-US sentiment among Afghans and neighboring countries." end quote. Source www.presstv.ir

Yes, JessieV, we know, and also agree with you that 1/2 of the Congress belong to the 1% class of super rich people. That is why their legislation favours so often their own elite class at the expense of the people. Their motto is: "Tax the people, but not us!" And so the people go for broke while they take to their private jets for sun-bathing at the Bahamas. However, keep in mind that there is a difference between being the 1% and belonging to the 1% as worker eyes.

The difference here is that the 1% have an agenda whilst the worker eyes carry out that agenda. - Cygnus1

I suspect that this is very true....in which case one could not very well blame Obama for much. Obama had initially said something to the effect that "We, the people, had to FORCE him do act in their interests". I suppose that is what the OWS movement is trying to do. All we can do is speculate about why Obama has done a 180 degree turn from his pre-election convictions. Was he bought out...threatened...or was he just fooling us all along. And anyone else that wins the office of the POTUS...Green, Peace and Freedom, ...whatever may get threatened to do things a certain way that benefits the ruling elite criminals. No one would want to end up like JFK.

Palindromedary, it does not matter the reason why a man or woman in power does what they do. What does matter is that they do it to the detriment of their fellow human beings. If a President cannot stand on his or her two feet and bring about a better life for the People who "think" they put him or her there through the elective ballot box, then that President should step down rather than placing his or her own soul journey in jeopardy through wicked deeds done by his or her actions toward others.

When a President continues with the war effort, making the industrial war machine wealthy, and fighting enemies which were not formerly enemies at all of these United States of America, then that President does have blood on his or her hands, and is not relieved of the debt he or she owes to every American soldier and every so-called enemy of other lands whose life journeys have been cut short or hindered.

This is a very serious situation, and that soul who brings such trauma upon others will in future lives be paying the debt back for a very long time. - Cygnus1

NEGLIGENCE - n. - (LAW) - FAILURE TO EXERCISE THE DEGREE OF CARE CONSIDERED REASONABLE UNDER THE CIRCUMSTANCES, RESULTING IN AN UNINTENDED INJURY TO ANOTHER PARTY. (AMERICAN HERITAGE DICTIONARY OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE)

The Wall Street corporate banksters committed economic negligence upon the citizens of the United States of America.

The Wall Street corporate banksters are the world's foremost economists, who are paid millions of dollars in compensation every year for their economic expertise.

The Wall Street corporate banksters knew what would happen - if they did not know - they should have known.

The Wall Street corporate banksters did not take a reasonable degree of care to prevent the 2008 economic crash.

When it became clear that Senator John McCain would not win the 2008 presidential election - the first domino was pushed and the rest came tumbling down.

The Wall Street corporate banksters then received a parting gift from the George W. Bush administration, which put the country in such an economic depression that President Obama would never be able to overcome.

Michael Hudson, economist, has some really good ideas. The interviewer posed the question that if Bernie Sanders were the President and Michael Hudson were the Chief Economist..what would he do to turn things around....one amusing thing he said was that the President should ask the SCOTUS into the White House and tell them, "with all due respect...since the supreme court appointments are for life...you'll either change your hard right-wing tunes or we will have to replace you....we'll take you into a back room and shoot those of you who continue to give us trouble."...or something similar to that effect....

The OWS movement rejects any attempt by either the Republicans or the Democrats to hijack their movement. Many realize that the problem is a problem with both parties. He said that the Democrat party has already tried to hijack the OWS movement but it didn't work because people realize that the Democrat Party is just as crooked as the Republican party.

Michael Hudson believes that there will be a revolution but not a violent one because the police are too strong. He believes it will be a political revolution...probably starting next spring...and will happen at least within 4 years.

I have read this several times, over the last few days, and so I will post it with a short comment: - Cygnus1

The military supports Ron Paul

Whilst Ron Paul is a good and courageous man, there is absolutely nothing at all which he can do for the military. It is the system which must go, and that is the only way all heartache and misery for the Peoples of these United States of America, and for all the Peoples around the world, to end. The Peoples themselves must topple it, but they cannot do that without, their own soldiers, because you, the soldiers have the training.

You are the war pilots of the Air Force, You fly both helicopters and warplanes. You are the Navy with the submarine training and warship training. You are the Navy Seals. You are the Ground Troops of the Army. You are the Marines, select groups trained in military precision. You are what your own People need BACK, to protect THEM from the terrorist forces within the country who have taken hostage the White House, the Pentagon, the CIA, militarized the police forces ...you get the picture.

If the good man, Ron Paul, were ever to become elected, he would get a phone call announcing that there will be a few men who will come to see him and they will read him the riot act. It happens to every leader in most countries. And that will be the end of the new President of the United States of America acting on behalf of the People. The only power a President has is to make war on other nations for the benefit of the military industrial complex, and the President is "told" which wars to fight and when to send over U.S. soldiers to fight in them.

If you want out of warfaring climates, soldiers, then you will have to get out yourselves and make a stand, and you will have ALL THE PEOPLES OF THE UNITED STATES AND AROUND THE GLOBE STANDING WITH YOU, helping to protect YOU.

TOPPLING THE CAPITALIST SYSTEM WHICH KEEPS THE WORLD IN ECONOMIC BONDAGE IS WHAT EVERY MILITARY MAN AND WOMEN SHOULD BE GAITING THEMSELVES TOWARD, AND NOTHING ELSE.

Putting yourselves at the forefront will perhaps be one of the most dangerous and difficult acts of conscience you will have ever attempted, but consider what you will, in the long run, gain.

You receive what you put into the effort. If you put nothing into the effort, yourselves, and think you must rely on this or that politician who can do nothing for you, to change anything for as long as the 1% and their worker eyes run the nation and the world into destruction, then you will not only not rebuild Paradise for yourselves, your neighbours, or your families, but you will continue in living alongside the Peoples of your diverse nations, in poverty, hardship, heartache, and desperation.

The American dream is not just about having a job through working for the 1%, no matter how high the wage. The American dream is not just about buying a house and living on a nice street lined with trees, or having two cars which you really do not own because just like your homes and furniture, the banks own it all.

You are, in fact, only renting those items, and when you finish paying for your home, you must ensure you have a job to continue in paying land taxes or you could lose it all. This is not the American Dream at all.

The American Dream is the dream of rebuilding Paradise for yourselves, your familes and your neighbours. A Dream where you will all be satisfied and happy and not be in jeopardy of losing it all.

You once thought President Obama could do something for you, the soldiers of the Military, such as bringing you home, so you voted for him. But he could do nothing for you any more than any other man or woman sitting in the White House can do under this present people destroying system. Ron Paul is no threat to the 1%, as he supposes, because he does not have the solution in taking down the 1% and their system and replacing it with a Paradise for the Peoples. - Cygnus1

Right you are again, Cygnus1! I guess sometimes I falter with a tendency of giving Obama the benefit of the doubt...he seemed like such a good man. We sure all wanted to believe Obama but he kept letting us down. Maybe the kindest thing we can do is to make sure he finds a different profession after 2012. He will likely go to work for some Wall Street firm as a high-brow lawyer. Let the next President be some idiot Republican so the revolution will occur on his watch...as it probably would have if McCain and old what's her name were elected in 2000. Obama just fed us a bunch of false hope which let a whole bunch of the right wing agenda slide right by without much of a peep from anyone. The people who voted for Obama and the Democrat Congress didn't peep much in opposition to a Democrat President who was acting like a Republican. And that worked out for the ruling elite just dandy. But I suspect that the ruling elite does not seriously expect any of the dimwit Republican jokes to be President anyway, which is just fine with them because Obama is still "their man". Wall Street owns Obama and everyone knows it (well, not everyone...some people have not caught on yet...they will likely vote for Obama yet again..and that is really tragic.)

We observe a careful conscious or subconscious avoidance of the term "Paradise" by the posters. In the context in which we use the word "Paradise" we never meant for this word to hold a religious connotation. Palindromedary, you are a very deep and conscientious thinker. You analize a situation with information which is available to you.

The people can be their own worst enemy if they are not armed with facts, understanding and bringing both together in wisdom. If they act upon false information they can bring upon themselves nothing but trouble. On the other hand, the peoples, themselves, can be a boon to one another and to a cause through responding to factual information with the strength of oneness of mind. - Cygnus1

Arkansas is a blue dog Democratic state and I understand my Senator is one of the blue "turn coat" dogs. Generally he acts pretty democratic so I don't understand this action. working from inside the Democratic committee here are some progressives trying to change things. AR is about the only southern state that's been held by Dems for quite some time, but not progressives. We are one of the 4 states who remains in the black though and we've cut taxes here, basically sales tax on food, which is a good thing. I definitely would not vote for a Dem who sided with Republicans right now on any issue and especially on a bal budget amendmend.

Re the Blue Dogs...I remember when the Democratic Party contained both conservatives and liberals and the Party was proud of this fact. The Democratic Party used to proclaim to the Republicans that Democrats could embrace both views and work towards common ground. Then came desegregaton and the conservatives fled to the Republican Party which further entrenched Republicans in their conservative beliefs. The conservatives who were left in the Democratic Party became the Blue Dogs as opposed to the Yellow Dogs as Ann Richards was fond of calling the liberals within the Party. Those Blue Dogs are needed to keep the left centered. Had the Tea Party not highjacked the Republican Party, we would have seen schisms within the Republicans, too...those who would occasionally "cross the aisle" to vote with the Democrats.

JessieV, that is a very good question and we are glad that you brought it up. You know how these United States of America is quickly becoming a police state, and as such the foreign backed government in Washington, D.C. has worker eyes in all departments of the government all the way down the chain until you come to the police who monitor with cameras and the like. You cannot even safely use Facebook and most forums without protecting yourselves.

Well, up that ladder is Congress, and when many Congressmen and Congresswomen wish to stand up for the rights of their constituants, they soon learn just what they may or may not vote for in the House of Congress, on Capitol Hill. They pass "Laws" which serve the agenda of the 1%. And this law passing goes right down the ladder into Peoples Court. This is why the Supreme Court overruled the lesser Court when it came to allowing the Protesters back in the park with items to keep them warm. The Mayor squealed to those who could not care less about Protesters, and then the hammer came down just above the Superior Court and they gave the final word. That word was the breaking of the Law of the Constitution, and the "worker eyes" do exactly what they are told to do.

Worker eyes are always "squealers" upon the Peoples, and will do whatever the 1% requires of them, whether it is legal under the Constitution or not. This makes Congress and the Senate, also, "worker eyes" and "worker eyes" who sell themselves out for a paycheck, or bribary, or blackmail and threats, are of no use to these, the Peoples of these United States of America.

When Prime Minister Netanyahu came to Washington, D.C. to visit with the President, give him his orders, and then addressed Congress, he received a standing ovation. Even the foreign backed U.S. President, Obama, himself, never received such commondation. They recognized a 1%'er.

The "worker eyes" are also "doers" of the agenda of the 1%, through collecting taxes, which is usury and against Universal Principle and Law; they are the standing armies who fight the 1%'ers wars; they are the bankers, many of the Mayors, Corporate heads, those who work the computers on Wall Street, and anyone involved in holding up the banking system, even for a job. Many of these lesser worker eyes will eventually come over to the side of the Patriots, so do not write them off. In any case you get the picture.

The foreign backed U.S. President Obama, won a "Nobel Peace Prize" for invading and destroying other peoples homes in other peoples nations, and stealing their resources, which was a standing order from Israel. So he was rewarded and is now in over his head. He should have resigned instead of making a mockery of the Peace Prize. We hope this is suffient information. If you have any more questions then they will be handled at a later time, but we will answer them. - Cygnus1

I am behind the OWS, BUT - If this movement want to succeed with the rest of the americans which they need, they need to get the avg america behind them because too many are critizing the ows. OWS needs a leader, a spokesperson, someone that is a professional, someone that looks like a professional, someone that can speak like a professional, someone that has all the facts, someone that has solid opinions, someone clean cut and well dressed....as much as you shouldn't need this, sadly you do. If you can get this person to speak for OWS, you will gain much much more ground with the rest of the country. The rest of the country sees ows as a bunch of kids who are nothing more than scum, thats really how they're being portrayed. Get a spokesperson that I described for each state that OWS occupys. Trust me on this and do it and you will succeed, don't do it and the media will keep portraying ows and a bunch of worthless humans.

Yeah, and maybe after they get a real "leader" they can start receiving funding from the Koch brothers and then the Tea Party can take over and direct things...huh? Or, maybe the disgraced, and corrupt, Democrat Party, specifically Obama, can take over and make more empty promises...if we just disband and agree to march to the drum of a "leader"! ;-{

I think that the fact that the OWS doesn't have a leader...one that will tend to hog all the glory...and, if funding came into the picture, a lot of the money that he/she/it will manage to skim....having a leader could be, perhaps, the most destructive of an "organization"...or maybe I should say "disorganization". But it the "disorganization" is working...as it seems to be growing in numbers...in part, perhaps, because there are no leaders with their own selfish agendas or those that will probably have the backing of more narrow interests...like the Koch brothers. We voted for, and trusted, one "leader" who screwed us.

There are no "failed" and "corrupt" politicians, charismatic as they may be, to steer the groups into sure self annihilation. Having a "central authority" makes it easier for that "central authority" to "sell out" and take the wind out of the sails of the massive rebellion efforts.

There is just a growing, and widespread, anarchistic feeling that the old worn-out ways are corruptible and will sell out to the wealthiest interests.

The majority of Americans already side with OWS...and the majority of Americans do not believe that these demonstrators are just a bunch of hippies...even though there may be some attending these demonstrations upon which the news media is prone to highlight so that they can get some of their viewers to believing that it is just mainly a hippy thing. And hippies are Americans too...without them we would probably still be in Vietnam. And the lack of them, over the last 8 or so years, may be the reason why we have prolonged the wars in the Middle East.

I don't know...was the word Hippy an iatrogenic affliction or was it just a propagandistic term foisted upon a younger generation who protested the criminal war in Vietnam? I'm sure that a lot of jingoist, war-mongering old Republicans are probably still using the misnomer of "communist" to express their propagandistic induced brain-farts upon good and loyal citizens who have no where else to turn but to demonstrate.

The fact that some people view the OWS groups as hippies, and in a disdainful way, shows how they have been abused by the propagandistic system that has hooked and imprisoned the minds of Americans into working for, and accepting, a course of belief and action that is detrimental to his/her well-being. And they don't even know, or recognize, that this has been done to them.

Some ideas, thanks to years of media induced propaganda, get so deeply entrenched that it is easy to manipulate people years later by the use of various terms...keywords..."Manchurian Candidate code words" or Pavlovian suggestions to get people to react, psychologically or even hypnotically, to them.

The majority of the OWS demonstrators are not as malleable to the suggestive manipulations of the same code words because they are, on average, much younger. Many were not even born at the time when the term "hippy" was even being used. It is mostly the old people who have been so thoroughly propagandized with old-school terms like hippies, communists, radicals, subversives, anarchists, atheists, marijuana...."eeevvviillll" terms that when used, jerks some people's brains into a "Manchurian Candidate code word" fright that it activates the automaton nerve centers into overtime...which results in beliefs and actions that are contrary to their best interests.

Of course, the young people are highly manipulated as well but they have been largely manipulated to buy the latest iphone or flavored condom...their code words are marketing driven so that they just have to have the newest and latest communication gadget and app.

Of course, it is just these toys that are being used (along with the lowly home computer over the internet, of course) that are being monitored by control groups in the CIA and Pentagon. The smarter ones, who know the difference between a "regular expression" and a "sql injection", for example, might be harder to spy on.

Although, the internet can be used for large masses of people to communicate effectively...and for a real democracy that's what is needed. It is also being used by the "bad guys"...the 1%..the Fascists....and their useful idiots to keep tabs on, and manipulate what people think. They are using their useful idiots to interject poisoned ideas into the internet stream...into blogs...to put doubt into peoples minds about rebelling against them...to accept the status quo (of the ruling elite).

There has had no better way of monitoring what certain people believe, and what they are doing, or intend to do, than the internet. Since IBM supplied Hitler with tabulating machines and punched cards and a continued assistance in amassing information on the Jews and everyone else, which led to the very efficient and speedy identification and attempted annihilation of large masses of people, the modern day equivalent can be just as dangerous, or even more dangerous, to masses of people who are unaware of this.

Thom's Blog Is On the Move

Hello All

Today, we are closing Thom's blog in this space and moving to a new home.

Please follow us across to hartmannreport.com - this will be the only place going forward to read Thom's blog posts and articles.

From The Thom Hartmann Reader:
"Thom Hartmann is a literary descendent of Ben Franklin and Tom Paine. His unflinching observations and deep passion inspire us to explore contemporary culture, politics, and economics; challenge us to face the facts of the societies we are creating; and empower us to demand a better world for our children and grandchildren."
John Perkins, author of the New York Times bestselling book Confessions of an Economic Hit Man
From Screwed:
"I think many of us recognize that for all but the wealthiest, life in America is getting increasingly hard. Screwed explores why, showing how this is no accidental process, but rather the product of conscious political choices, choices we can change with enough courage and commitment. Like all of Thom’s great work, it helps show us the way forward."
Paul Loeb, author of Soul of a Citizen and The Impossible Will Take a Little While
From The Thom Hartmann Reader:
"With the ever-growing influence of corporate CEOs and their right-wing allies in all aspects of American life, Hartmann’s work is more relevant than ever. Throughout his career, Hartmann has spoken compellingly about the value of people-centered democracy and the challenges that millions of ordinary Americans face today as a result of a dogma dedicated to putting profit above all else. This collection is a rousing call for Americans to work together and put people first again."
Richard Trumka, President, AFL-CIO
