The Real Agenda of Trump & GOP Revealed

Yesterday, in an interview with the Washington Post, Former Trump economic adviser Gary Cohn revealed he was "stunned" by Trump's proposed 2020 budget recommending $26 billion in cuts to Social Security and the Social Security Disability Insurance program.

What's stunning is that anybody would be stunned by this.

Republicans in Congress and the trump administration are proposing these cuts to Social Security by billions of dollars, while increasing multibillion dollar subsidies for the oil industry and eliminating the ability of states to protect themselves and their citizens from badly constructed oil pipelines. This tells you everything about their priorities: big bucks for billionaires and their planet-poisoning oil wells; retired people and disabled people can just die in the streets.

The GOP is going to try to distract us with hysteria about the southern border, abortion, and gun control. But this is their real agenda.

From The Thom Hartmann Reader:
"Right through the worst of the Bush years and into the present, Thom Hartmann has been one of the very few voices constantly willing to tell the truth. Rank him up there with Jon Stewart, Bill Moyers, and Paul Krugman for having the sheer persistent courage of his convictions."
Bill McKibben, author of Eaarth
From Screwed:
"The powers that be are running roughshod over the powers that OUGHT to be. Hartmann tells us what went wrong — and what you and I can do to help set American right again."
Jim Hightower, National Radio Commentator, Writer, Public Speaker, and author of the bestselling Thieves in High Places
From Screwed:
"Thom Hartmann’s book explains in simple language and with concrete research the details of the Neo-con’s war against the American middle class. It proves what many have intuited and serves to remind us that without a healthy, employed, and vital middle class, America is no more than the richest Third World country on the planet."
