Now that the Supreme Court has legalized money as a talking person what does that do to the adage "Money talks and Shit walks?  If the Supreme Court is held to the same standards that granted personhood to money can Shit be far behind?

"Let's not go on and on about who killed who ..." is Tony Blair's best line.

    Or was it Monty Python?

Either way, it's a line O.J. Simpson should have tried. If we can just keep looking forward, not backward, criminal trials would be a lot shorter!

Zero G. perhaps its because its really hard to do something worthy of headlines of being foolish, if you're just a sorta' trying to become part of the pattern of your couch all day long.

Kudos to Britian, even if nothing happens to Blair, at least their addressing his actions appropriately.

Take notice congress, doing similar commissions here regarding are chicken hawks will do a lot more for your next campaign then the tactic of cowering in the corner as so many of you are doing now.

Why are almost all the "because I got high" segments about alcohol abuse...?

High seems to represent cannabis, I thought, but maybe I was high.

I would like to apologize to all you nice young people. The Church Lady is mortified at her unseemly behavior during yesterday's Blog roll. She knows you'll understand how easy it is to mistake ones stash of viagra for their daily prozac, especially after scarfing down a handful of ambien, what with all the unsettling political developments lately. She suspects many of you have made the exact same booboo.

She assures all her friends that this will in no way impact on her pursuit of inner fulfillment, or her God-given abilities, including being able to suck start a Harley. :-o

    Ben

We are in agreement. I was adding some texture to your original question.

Charles, I was not implying that corportations own slaves, but that the owners of the corporations themselves are the slave owners because they own a (corporate) person.

No. The first statement is correct.

ended the idea that a person could not be treated as whole

    Darn, should have said:

Instead, the 14th Amendment ended the idea that a person could not be treated as "fractions".

Those free thinking fingers have struck again.

Oh yeah when Sodini opened up with a .45 and a 9mm killed 3 women and wounded more at a gym in Pittsburgh, he was reported to have shouted "I hate feminists!".

These people are sick and they indoctrinate the vulnerable (children, adults in hard times, etc...) with extreme sick ideology.

That church and sister churches are spreading like cancer into other churches as the cult leader "designed" an imperial neocon indoctrination of any and all churches in the USA.

That was the design but I fought it. I proved him wrong, but there hundreds of thousands of his tapes out there designed to "breakdown" and "rebuild" through indoctrination all churches into the neocon coporate MIC agenda with a neocon dictator like Bush Cheney.

    They will be back.

I don't see the corporations as owning slaves. Instead, the 14th Amendment ended the idea that a person could not be treated as whole. A freeborn person of color or freed slave could no longer be treated as 3/5 of a person. That being said, a person cannot be portioned so the natural conclusion is corporations cannot exist as a person on the grounds that is can be broken up into portions (stocks). If a person needs to be considered whole, then the stockholders would be the slave owners.

Hey look - the Brits are having an Iraq Inquiry:
    http://blogs.channel4.com/snowblog/blogs/iraq-inquiry-blog/

    Why can't we?

They're getting THEIR warmongering wanker to admit he was gonna start a war regardless of the evidence; why can't we do the same?

It is no big news that Bush was wrong, but actually Al Qaeda is a "cult" of Islam. The same happens in Judaism Christianity Buddhism. But true Islam is a religion of peace it is the militant imperial cult that takes the Koran out of context for an extremist militant view. So counseling Islam with the "truth" actually would reduce Islamic radical terrorists because they would realize that they are in a false cult.

The corporate cult is the secret I believe to unraveling the neocon agenda.

Understanding the how to debunk cults is necessary(Lifton-brainwashing/cult mind control/influence).

I have seen and grew up with a false neocon cult church. I tell you the reason they do not make sense is because the have a neocon cult leader posing as an "unquestionable" "highly authoritarian"(well schooled in Greek Aramaic and Hebrew) pastor DICTATING WITH "ABSOLUTE AUTHORITY" in what they think is "God's truth". REGARDLESS of reason or morality. But it is not "God's truth". It is bible verses twisted and taken out of context FOR the CORPORATE NEOCON AGENDA.

In which? The neocon pastor created new terminology to create an insider/outsider us vs them language and mentality.

This is neocon church/militant cult caused major division within christianity in the US Austrailia and England and other countries.

The cult leader was very persuasive and reduced "listeners" to little more than neocon voting robots.

I have been fighting this alone since the early 70s and thought I was the only one of few. Then? Bush attacked Iraq(which is what was "indoctrinated" in the 1970s. Bush declared axis of evil Iran/Iraq/Syria. That was straight from the neocon christian pulpit.

I say this as a warning. These neocons are "good faith terminators"" that's all they do" "they take your faith reinterpret with the neocon version of christianity and rip your heart, soul, and human conscience right out of your faith"

That is why you cannot "make sense" with neocons, because in neocon faith there is no room for "human common sense".

That is a sick mentality. Some hide it better than others.

Geroge Sodini (mass murderer) was a product of this indoctrination although he attended a sister church.

We are dealing with for a large part literally psycopathic indoctrinated zombies for a corporate agenda.

Since they are a cult that makes them vulnerable to other cult ideologies. I say get in their face and fight with the authority of the cult of "we the people". Redefine the language according to "we the people".

I wish it was better circumstances but I saw what we are living today in the 1970s, because it was "taught" from the pulpit. Now everyone sees it. I tell you if we and Obama do not make a populist stand fight and by movement I mean MOVE with ACTION this country to the left then? we will all be living in tents lucky to get 1 can of soup a day for our families.

Thom is correct I think about the negative campaigning by neocons trying to make people give up andless people showing up to vote.

However, I think it is mulitifaceted. I think the negative "language"(propaganda) constantly vomited off of Fox news and other corporate Reich wing media is about pushing and keeping the debate to past and thru the extreme right wing,

Look at the wars and the "debate" from the Bush admin. We are still living and suffering that debated wars.

It is time for Obama to establish the cult of "we the people". Upon that egde of the sword will we unravel and destroy the corporate cult VERBALLY and hopefully nonviolently. But that does not mean inaction. Words without action is nearly no action whatsoever.

I don't know if God exists or not, but if he does, I bet he won't let us into heaven if we spend our whole life being self-righteous instead of spending lots of time enjoying this incredible planet he gave us to live on. If we live a dogmatic self-righteous existence, he won't let us into heaven because he'll say we're too damn dumb and wouldn't be able to enjoy heaven, either. Part of saving the planet is making sure you get others to appreciate it by enjoying its beauty. We need to get off these computers and take Thom's program on our headsets out into the woods for a hike! Who wants to meet me in Forest Park?

Thom had on his show a guest who gave his account on twenty-three minutes in hell. Thom asked some good questions and the guest was able to answer his questions and he did a good job.

Yes, God is merciful but God has given all of us a free will. We pick our destination and we are held accountable for the consequences of our choices. God desires for all of us to be with Him in heaven with the communion of saints.

What is so amazing about the Christianity is that God came to earth in a human form. God also died for our sins so that heaven could be open to us after our death.

I want to share with you an amazing book, “The Cost of Discipleship” by Dietrich Bonhoeffer. Mr. Bonhoeffer was a Lutheran minister who was killed by the Germans toward the end of World War II for speaking out against Germany. Mr. Bonhoeffer has said to be a disciple of Jesus we must be willing to die for Jesus. We are all born to be saints. We must strive to remain with God or near God. As we grow older we tend to distance ourselves from God. If we were to die away from God, our souls would not be saved.

God knows that we are imperfect human beings. We are sinners. What God wants from us is that we persevere to the very end of our life. If God believes that we have tried to be with Him or near Him we can be saved and be with Him in heaven.

I say a prayer from time to time that focuses on God being merciful on the Last Judgment Day. Every soul will enter heaven. Will this be a possibility, I cannot say. God is quite explicit about the destiny after death. It is either heaven or hell. He can change His mind but will He?
