That's $1.50 per litre. A litre is about 1/4 of a gallon. So gas in Australia roughly equates to $6/gallon. Not so cheap.

The German Nazi racism and its resulting ideas was the peak of ideological human insanity. You can't compare anything to that. It's simply wrong. It doesn't work anyway, because everybody has been comparing the Nazis to anybody.
Whereas comparing libertarianism to anarchism makes a lot of sense. Because both ideologies adovacate extreme freedom and deny government. Which in any case leads to chaos and finally to the monopoly of those who have the most power. The outcome isn't different from Communist dictatorships, as I said above.
I saw Thom propose a great idea on his TV show last night. The TV show that's on the Kremlin funded, Putin mouthpiece RT. Ban oil exports and speculation. Thom thinks this would lower energy prices in America because it will increase energy supplies here. Besides the obvious consequences, like oil producing countries retaliating by not exporting to us, and our domestic producers shutting off production because prices are artificially low, America has never implemented an export ban on a consumption product. Never. It's unconstitutional. Plus it's the kind of behavior one might expect from Libya or Russia, countries where the oil production is in the hands of the government.
As for speculators, they are the reason energy prices are so low. Yes, I said it, low. If not for the futures system, prices would have massive volatility, and never find equilibrium, because producers would have no way to lock in prices and ensure profitability far into the future. If you're going to make a billion dollar investment in energy prospecting, it's a good idea to lock in a profitable price. Can't do that without speculators.

Chris Drew has won an important battle in his Felony Eavesdropping case. Illinios Criminal Courts Judge Stanley Sacks declared the law unconstitutional last Friday. States Attorney Anita Alvarez is appealing to the Illinois Supreme Court.
Although I'm just a jailhouse lawyer (who has so far avoided the jail part), I think Drew will prevail.

Limbaugh is just talking like many red-necks do and he's connected to the Republican Party, because this party is pretty much red-neck. Well, some red-necks are nice and some are even liberals and in this case I love them. Though Limbaugh is average uneducated red-neck talk. He sure has a great audience of stupid idiots. There you see, how many uneducated idiots we have and that Obama is right: We need more education.

Well, that pretty much sounds like a direct attack. Much like President Obama attacking private citizens. Both situations are wrong. As long as they are picketing quietly then there is no reason for residents to be bothered.
There is no need for a casino law to throw people in jail for picketing, unless of course they are actually causing a commotion in front of somebody's home.

Regarding getting pregnant control: THE ROOT OF ALL OF OUR AILMENTS IN SOCIETY ARE ROOTED IN OVER POPULATION. - It makes people expendable. (Supply and demand theory) More people means endless cheap labor and low wages (AND THEY WANT TO KEEP IT THAT WAY). Perks like pensions are wiped out, unions are gone, and newly created laws take away more freedoms and rights. Worn out working people get fired, let go, or "early retired" when they are no longer useful. You pay higher taxes, gas, and food. College is not for us "extra people" - but only for the rich. Wars will be started over essential shortages. Expendable "unproductive people", like the old and sick starve to death because of elimination of social safety nets. And - I could go on to infinity with this.. On the other side: Every day technology lessens the need for the same amount of people for the same job. Every day administrative people and CEO's on the top scheme 'how can we do the same jobs with less people'. NOTHING is going to get better until we address over population - NOTHING.
I wish but probably not. Wasn't it Rush who was stopped at the airport for transporting unusual amounts of viagra without a prescription? If men could get pregnant, this whole birth control debate would look a whole lot different. Really though, this is not about birth control at all. It is all about taking women's civil rights back to what they were at the beginning of the last century; back before Margaret Sanger fought for poor women's rights to access birth control. Margaret was overwhelmed watching poor women die during child birth as a result of multiple births, while knowing that wealthy families could access birth control through the mail from Europe. The Post Master General put Margaret in jail for charges of pornography for merely sending information about birth control through the mail to women who could not legally get birth control information from their doctors. It is not news that Rush hates poor and outspoken women. Anyone that listens to him for any amount of time soon sees that. That is not the issue here. Corporations that advertize with his show are in collusion of attempting to steal away the civil rights of poor and under-payed women. Last month it was that, employers should not have to pay for birth control for their employees if the employer has religious reason against doing so. This month they shouldn't have to pay for anything for their employees that they have a religious or moral belief against. Now according to Rush women who use birth control are sluts and prostitutes. He is talking about all women including the women who work for the companies that finance his program, the women that buy products from those companies. Is this what men and women in this country believe, that women who use birth control are sluts and prostitutes? Rush is in a dialogue with the republican candidates and they are teasing each other further down this road of attempting at destroying womens civil rights.
If enough sponsors pull their advertising the station will have no choice but to fire him. It was done to Beck and Limbaugh is no different and probably much worse then Beck.
I have a question for people. Why are the gas prices in Australia super cheap. I was looking at a current video taken in Coolangatta, Australia. The man was walking around his neighborhood shooting video and he showed a gas station sign showing the prices. The video date is 2012. It shows prices all around a buck and half. The station is Shell. Why is America being hit with back breaking gas prices affecting everything we do and Australia enjoying so affordable prices. It is America that is supporting these multinationals with blood and treasure. I'm upset about this. very

CON's have been implying birth control is for pro's & sluts for 40 years that I know of (I heard it when I was 8 or 10 years old and thought it strange).. Rush was the first conservative I noticed to come right out and say it, without using euphemistic code words (family values, morals, etc).. Maybe the drug addict high school dropout republican mouthpiece was stoned again..
I also noticed no other conservative "really" apologized either; Romney for example said "not the words I would have used." Which sounded very much like he basically agreed on the whore/slut part, but would have worded it differently (which makes perfect sense as I have been hearing variations of the same theme for 40 years)..
Does anyone know if the President can suspend a section of law, citing a national emergency? I have often wondered if he could suspend the portion of law allowing speculation of oil sales.
Somehow, we need to reduce the cost - which could also put pressure on certain global players who bank on the high cost of oil.

Thom, I am a faithful viewer, but I must say that you are way off on this one. I don't know much about Ms Ferris. I do however know about Simonson. You need to do a background check on this one. Also, through the community I discovered that the boy in question was helped under extreme circumstances. Simonson lived with the boy for over a year. The kid didn't even go to school. Simonson was 1:1 24/7 (all funded by Ferris). So, how can there be a program? The boy wasn't able to go to school. This makes NO sense to me?
Before this gig he was in Canada doing "healings" many people have said they paid large sums of money for big promises that were never kept. I also heard that people would have to see him on a VERY frequent basis at great expenses in order to have minimal results.
Personally, I am all for alternative treatment for these loveable children. But, Thom, you are considered to be an authority on this subject, aren't you the least bit afraid of associating your good name with such a questionable individual? I understand Ms Ferris is delighted by the results for her boy, but I don't understand why the facts of how and how much are not being mentioned. Thom... your backing the wrong horse here.
And, if you need more cause for concern: Simonson went with Ms Ferris to Chicago. I'm told by the Oprah staff that they would not let him be part of the segment because of his lack of credibility and a failed background check. If you watch the whole show, Oprah never mentioned him and Ms Ferris was instructed not to do so either. Oprah wasn't even interested in meeting him as he did not impress her in the least. Therefore, I do not think that she would appreciate your using her name in association with him. Just watching your back Thom as I LOVE the show.

You can adapt many devices to another voltage. It's pretty easy with those which already have external adapters. And you do it via infinitely variable voltage converters that have various plug-ins.
The prices for solar panels hardly droped over the last five years. Something is wrong with the market. I'm very much afraid this is a matter of lacking competition. The manufacturing techniques changed very much, but I don't have the feeling you see that in corporate price policy.
This is why I want government to go in this business too.
