Come now Church Lady, I don't think DDay was picking on me.

Though I'm quite certain you'll favor giving me private Sunday School lessons to teach me the error of my ways.

    Nels,

    Thanks. I needed that!

    Hugs to you.

Thomas Jode said..First off, stop refering to me in the third person. Secondly, have you even READ the Constituion or the Declaration of Independence, because NO WHERE in those documents does it specifcally state that to kill a baby is wrong.>

Do you think the DOI and Constitution explain every solution to every moral problem that exists? And if the Const. has no answer, you can do whatever you want?

    @KMH

Your formula is the same as the one I gave an hour ago.

    @ The Church Lady

    Pardon moi.

@Quark, Oh I think its coming. Here's my analogy why: Most people don't worry about disasters until the fire is burning up the hillside towards there home, or the mud is sliding down it, snow is falling hard enough to black out there neighborhood etc... my point is this. Some people are vigilant and prepare when the issue is not in there face (as you are doing now) but most do nothing until their way of life is endangered. As the chickens come home to roost more and more people are going to get active, sure some will join Tea Parties, others will create or join progressive movements, but the storm is coming. The Republicans are screwing the American people, and that can't remain hidden, their house of cards is going to fall. Soon you will have more compatriots then you can possibly imagine.

At least that's what I believe.

    Founding Truth:
First off, stop refering to me in the third person. Secondly, have you even READ the Constituion or the Declaration of Independence, because NO WHERE in those documents does it specifcally state that to kill a baby is wrong. These are documents of rights, not of morals. If you want morals, look to yourself for common sense and moral guidelines.

    @ DDay

Listen Mr. Potty Mouth, it is bad enough that you use profanity in one language much less two! I suppose you think the Church Lady doesn't know Frog? And, what makes you so smart that you pass judgment on everything? If you ever pick on darling Nels again, I'll do more than rub your rhubarb! I bet you are a Frog! You certainly aren't anyone's prince. The Church Lady has a bar of soap for you!
(She has oils and bubble bath for Nels).

    Nels,

I feel as though I have an OBLIGATION to call out the liars and fools. I can no longer believe that anyone else (in our government) who SHOULD, WILL.

If the east coast were suffering record cold, then the argument against global warming would sound right (still would be wrong). They are having record snowfalls not record low temperatures.

So- double the celsius figure and add 32 degrees to estimate the difference from celsius to fahrenheit

Here is an actual calcuator with the formula above pre-programmed into it so you can check your math http://www.lenntech.com/calculators/temperature/temperature.htm

According to CSG network.com, assume that you have a Celsius scale temperature of 100 degrees and you wish to convert it into degrees on the Fahrenheit scale. Using the stated formula, you first multiply the Celsius scale temperature reading by nine-fifths and get a result of 180. Then add 32 to 180 and get the final converted result of 212 degrees on the Fahrenheit scale.

Tf = (9/5)*Tc+32; Tc = temperature in degrees Celsius, Tf = temperature in degrees Fahrenheit

Below is the formula to convert a Celsius scale temperature into degrees on the Fahrenheit scale.

In the formulas below, / represents division, * represents multiplication, - subtraction, + addition and = is equal.

Tf = (9/5)*Tc+32; Tc = temperature in degrees Celsius, Tf = temperature in degrees Fahrenheit

@Jeanie, perhaps DDay and I do say similar things, I for one find a lot of his comments spot on. But yes I do like to challenge him, as well as several others to take it a few steps further.

@harry ashburn - Do you know what the definition of a consultant is? It's a guy who knows how to make love to a woman 50 different ways....they just do not know any women!

    DDay,

I phoned minority leader Mitch McConnell's office today to call him out on his insane global warming comments, explaining why the current snow storm is proof of global warming. I also said that Republicans are uneducated, stupid or lying. The staffer said global warming was a matter of OPINION. Exasperated, I said that she, too, was just as stupid! (Not nice, but I didn't care!)

Thomas Jode said..Founding Truth, I was serious. Are you saying you can’t pull up a link and look at the whole document yourself and give me the solid evidence? ( The Law of Life is God and exists in all living things, so God CAN’T take itself away.)>

The Constitution leaves matters of liberty to the states. Their writings prove they viewed killing the baby in the womb was murder.

But THOM, the use of the CarbonArgument to promote Nuke Fission Heat Reactor Plants (aka nukular energy) and clean coal and GMO crops no-till looks more suspicious all the time. Demonizing carbon isn't getting us ANYWHERE but a world filled with subsidized nuke plants, more coal, GMOs and the rich getting richer by playing a shell game with carbon bargaining chips! The CarbonArgument looks more like the distraction used by a pair of pickpockets: One guy bumps you (Look at the carbon!) while the other guy lifts your wallet (give us those taxpayer subsidies!).

Does it have to be this way and this way only?

    Jeanie,
I am an admirer of Nels and usually agree with most of what he says. Today, less so. I agreed with what you said, (unless it was about celsius!) Your comments regarding messaging were dead on in my opinion. Messaging is a science and an art. Emotion is the key in advertising. Short simple messages work best. The "Right" are experts at this. They manage to get about 1/3 of the voters to vote against their own self interest. They use emotion to pull off this trick. That shows how effective these techniques are.
