Hillary appealed to Georgetown and Georgetown replied. The Punditocracy won it for her with pre-conceived views. Bernie didn't grovel to win votes. Let's see who wins next winter. It won't be Clinton, not unless the Clinton supporters in the 4th estate have done to principle what they did did to truth when it came time to circle their wagons 'round Bill during his second Lewinsky-dominated term.

Bernie didn't appeal to the quick wisdom easily whipped up n' over crowd on responsible gun control ... and for that, voters will remember this a lot more favorably in the key early bellweather states of NH, Iowa and South Carolina. Lots of Democratic voters who are also responsible gun owning citizens. And they'll remember that without a moment's worth of pambering for their votes, Bernie never forgot them. And they won't forget him.

I think Hillary's peopl etried to grind the Ax on Bernies stand on Guns, Bernie knows that Gun Violence is an issue that needs to be addressed, he supports an assult weapons ban,and is for stronger background checks on guns, and getting rid of gun show loopholes, its also obvious that Hillary was well rehearsed on her answers, it wouldnt surprize me if she knew what the questions were beforehand even as CNN, owned by Time Warner, who is a big contributor to her campaign, I am hoping Benie is our next president, and I think he will win the primary, some states are caucus states, and people need to become precinct committe officers if there isnt one in their precinct, there is a democrat one, and a republican one,and many are not filled, I signed up, and became one in Washington state where I live, as we are a caucus state.

They call it a "Monkey Pole" but it seems more like Monkey Business. How long will it be before we laugh out loud about anything corporate news media says before switching to another channel or turning our televisons off? When news and analysis programs that are meant to benefit the public are transformed into a propoganda machine to benefit corporate owners, what can you expect?

The attempt to influence the public mind is also becoming bold in popular television. Take the show "Madam Secretary" on CBS, which aired in early October, 2015. Three actors, playing roles as high ranking assistants to the Secretary of State in this popular television show sang a song touting the, as yet, undisclosed benefits of the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) at a State dinner honoring its members. If the benefits of the TPP are so wonderful, like GMOs, why do they refuse to make them public?

While we're at it, what about all the liquor ads on TV shows? It seems, every time someone arrives home or goes to lunch, the first thing they do is pour or order a drink of wine, beer or hard liquor and then stare into their glass as they let out a deep sigh of relief. Pills and alcohol for everyone - is that it? As the need for greed creeps deeper into the capitalist soul, it seems the goal is to turn the rest of us into freely accessible "cash cows", 24/7. What happens when our pockets are empty and there are no more jobs to provide us with the means to refill them?

HILLARY WON THE 2016 ELECTION!!! We polled the head CEOs of the Fortune 500 companies and determined that corporate dominance of the working class would best be preserved by a corporate Democrat in the WH. A corporate Democratic president will forestall the development of any annoying popular resistance as we proceed wholesale with our agenda of completely dismantling all vestiges of the New Deal. Hillary serves our interests fair better than a racist, wildcard renegade like Donald Trump. The campaign will continue-- after all, we are never rich enough, but it has been determined: Hillary Is Best. Deal with it losers. HILLARY WON THE 2016 ELECTION!!!

That is all.

No question the debate results were alterd the following moring after corporate had an opportunity to weigh in. The perspective from social media, however, is polar opposite. Such a refreshing contrast though, to have Sanders and his view of the world on such a national stage against those other corporate tools who wake up every morning chanting the "big business is our savior" mantra. The fundamental truth about Sanders is that he's not afraid of real citizen driven democracy and if given the chance in that arena he'll win every time against the corporate democrats. The revolution that he speaks of is about bringinging back real democracy and the American Dream. He knows corporate America has been holding it hostage, but unlike previous attempts from other progressives he's positioned himself to actually deliver that message effectively. What's so comforting about him is that he can't be bought and that unlike the others on that stage Tuesday evening his responses aren't manufactured by some focus group or professional handlers. He's been giving the same answers to those types of questions for years, as many of us have witnessed ourselves on Thom's Brunch with Bernie segment way back when he was America's Congressman. He doesn't have to stop and think about his answers.

This is all HOOEY HYPE! I wonder how much the Clinton's Bankster buddies like Goldman Sacks etc. paid to spin this yarn?! Because she's a woman, she got more time than anyone else.... It would be interesting to see how many questions she was asked first and how much total time she got. I want to see a one on one with Bernie & Hillary!!! How will she answer the question of all the money she took from her bankster "friends" and why it was so important to go to Texas first to get donations from her "backers" - corporately owned subsidiaries...... Bernie will NEVER sell US out. I can't say the same for Hillary... Her actions (and silence) indicate she places politics OVER We The People. Bernie's a straight-shooter and unlike Trump, Bernie is CORRECT!

I did get to look at the surveywhich was found here: http://www.scribd.com/doc/285396771/NBC-SurveyMonkey-ToplinesMethod10-15. I see that only 24% of the respondents actually watched the debate so the rest made ther decision by either media reports or previously held positions. So the conclusion that Hillary won, based on this poll is erroneous. I am sorry too that Thom Hartmann is passing on this media "story".

Guess who BOUGHT NBC/MSNBC???? Comcast!!! I wouldn't believe their poll if i was paid to! "Corporations....start your engines.... the SPIN has begun".

I tried to link to the survey itself and it was a survey unrelated to the debate.

Also look at connections between those conducting the survey and big banks ,.Survey Monkey- In 2010, the company received US$100 million in debt financing from Bank of America Merrill Lynch and SunTrust Robinson Humphrey.[12]

a nice TARP bailout for an online survey company.

As a friend of mine says, this is a poll testing the effect of the media pundits' own spin. All the mainsteam corporate media "reported" that Clinton had won, so polls taken days after are mostly measuing the people who heard about the debate and the biased clips shown on the news, and did not actually see the debate. On the night of the debate with the polls of people who actually watched the debate, Sanders was far and away the winner of the pubic polls with the pundits ignoring the viewing/listening audience responses. Also, every focus group that actually watched the debate had Sanders the winner. This is how the corporate media intends to hand the election to Clinton since they are financing her campaign.

P.S. I'm very embarassed for Thom that this shows up on his website without any analysis of the self-fulfilling spin effect.

G Wonderwheel -- I think Thom believes that the billionaires will harm Bernie so much that HIllary will win. He wants to assure that Hillary will beat any repug she runs against. Consequently, Thom does not want to speak of any evil against Hillary.

Hilary didnt win a damn thing. id be willing to bet that this 'poll' wasnt conducted scientifically or was extremely biased towards hilary. extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.
