Republicans just don't know how to govern. They are to worried about the black president whom has more brain power then all of them put togather.

The more they stall, the more people will feel frustrated. Let's hope the footdragging works in favor of progressives.

There are no new bridges to name for Reagan but perhaps a gaping chasm could claim the name.

I believe that elected government officials that "swear an oath" to Grover Norquist or any group other than the citizens that voted them into office should be TRIED FOR TREASON. Pinkie swears that negate the cause of my elected representatives to represent me should land the official in prison for violating their oath of office. Put the buzzards in jail and impose free and fair elections for 2014!!

Judging by their performance for the past 3 years, the only thing they will accomplish is to attempt to shut down the government. I really, really, pray that people see the light in 2014 and get these wackos out of Congress once and for all. I'm forever the optimist trying to view the world as glass half full. It's the only way I stay sane these days.

Hello All

Today, we are closing Thom's blog in this space and moving to a new home.

Please follow us across to hartmannreport.com - this will be the only place going forward to read Thom's blog posts and articles.

From Screwed:
"Thom Hartmann’s book explains in simple language and with concrete research the details of the Neo-con’s war against the American middle class. It proves what many have intuited and serves to remind us that without a healthy, employed, and vital middle class, America is no more than the richest Third World country on the planet."
Peter Coyote, Actor and author of Sleeping Where I Fall
From Cracking the Code:
"No one communicates more thoughtfully or effectively on the radio airwaves than Thom Hartmann. He gets inside the arguments and helps people to think them through—to understand how to respond when they’re talking about public issues with coworkers, neighbors, and friends. This book explores some of the key perspectives behind his approach, teaching us not just how to find the facts, but to talk about what they mean in a way that people will hear."
Paul Loeb, author of Soul of a Citizen
From Unequal Protection, 2nd Edition:
"Hartmann combines a remarkable piece of historical research with a brilliant literary style to tell the grand story of corporate corruption and its consequences for society with the force and readability of a great novel."
David C. Korten, author of When Corporations Rule the World and Agenda for A New Economy
