Full Show 4/1/16: Bernie Raises $44 Million in March!

Tonight’s Rumble discusses why the GOP establishment only likes democracy when the voters pick the right candidate, how the federal minimum wage hasn’t been raised since 2009, and how the Texas abortion law forced a woman to give birth to a stillborn baby. Thom discusses the latest job numbers and New York and California raising their minimum wages to $15 with economist Marshall Auerback and Hillary Clinton’s defensive response when asked if she would remove fossil fuel money from her campaign with Greenpeace USA’s Molly Dorozenski.

Rumble: Forced Pregnancy by the TX GOP & Sharia Law

Peter Roff, U.S. News & World Report & Bridget Todd, Political Strategist & Ashe Schow, Washington Examiner joins Thom. The controversial Texas anti-women's health law HB2 forced a woman to deliver a baby that had zero chance of survival. 20 weeks into this pregnancy the baby began to arrive prematurely - and the woman rushed to the doctor because she had had a previous miscarriage. The doctors told her that the baby had no chance of survival - but under Texas law it was considered "still alive" - so the parents were sent home to wait for 4 days until the dead fetus was delivered in the hospital. Is this humane to either the baby or the mother - or the father - to force this woman to carry this baby to birth - even though there was zero chance of survival? Is the state responsible for any trauma that this woman endured as a result?

Rumble: Is the GOP Looking For “Fresh Face” at the Convention?

Peter Roff, U.S. News & World Report & Bridget Todd, Political Strategist & Ashe Schow, Washington Examiner joins Thom. Donald Trump has spent the week trying to explain his position on abortions to women's rights groups and male supremacist groups alike. And with the GOP frontrunner alienating women supporters - at least one GOP strategist is suggesting that the party might need a "fresh face" to beat the Democrats in November.

Trump Exposes the Inconvenient Truth On Trade

Marshall Auerback, Levy Institute/Economists for Peace and Security joins Thom. Donald Trump is wrong about a lot of things - but he's speaking the inconvenient truth about trade.

Greenpeace - Here Are Hillary's Connections to Oil & Gas...

Molly Dorozenski, Greenpeace USA joins Thom. Hillary Clinton says that Bernie Sanders is lying when he says that her campaign accepts money from the fossil fuel industry. But what about her Super PACs?

These Corporations Have Raped the Land & Robbed the People

Coal companies have turned West Virginia into an environmental disaster zone - and now they have the gall to try and rob their workers of their hard-earned pension plans. So isn't it time we put these big coal companies out to pasture once and for all?

Are You Drinking Weedkiller w/Your Wine?

Zen Honeycutt, Moms Across America joins Thom. Cancerous Roundup in California wines?

Will You Help Awaken American Democracy?

Rob Weissman, Public Citizen, joins Thom. Donald Trump and his supporters aren't the only ones who want to make America great again. Progressives are also fighting to restore our democracy: This coming month - activists will gather here in Washington, D.C. for a massive civil disobedience event to send a message to our leaders about how we can make our democracy great again.

Bernie’s Political Revolution Is Here To Stay

America's Lawyer Mike Papantonio, Ring of Fire, joins Thom. Bernie Sanders has more than doubled his lead in Wisconsin. According to a Marquette University poll released on Wednesday - the Vermont senator now has a four point advantage over Hillary Clinton in the Badger State. He has the support of 49 percent of likely Wisconsin voters - whereas the former Secretary of State has the support of 45 percent. That’s up from the 44 to 43 percent split that the last Marquette poll found back in February. If Bernie can maintain this lead and win Wisconsin - he’ll be a lot closer to overtaking Clinton and winning the Democratic nomination. It’s an uphill battle - but it’s not an impossible one - and a win in Wisconsin - which has 96 delegates and is the heartland of the progressive movement - would put the Sanders campaign in a very good place heading into the final stretch of primaries. But even if Bernie doesn’t win Wisconsin or the nomination - his political revolution is here to stay.

Full Show 3/31/16: Bernie Up 4 Points in Wisconsin

Thom discusses Bernie’s lead in Wisconsin and Obama endorsing Debbie Wasserman Schultz with attorney and radio host Mike Papantonio, how to really “Make America Great Again” with Public Citizen’s Rob Weissman, and the increased risk of earthquakes due to fracking with RT correspondent Ashlee Banks. In tonight’s Daily Take Thom details the latest company trying to rob it’s workers.

We're Koched-Out On Freebees for Billionaire Polluters

Former Massey Energy CEO Don Blankenship has the blood of 29 men on his hands. So why do the Koch Brothers want to make it even harder to send crooks like him to prison?

Is The DC Nuclear Summit A Sham?

Kevin Kamps, Beyond Nuclear, joins Thom. The DC Nuclear Summit should be focused on nuclear safety - this year's nuclear summit will involve very little discussion about nuclear power and nuclear weapons themselves. So why is that? Tune in...

Is America About to Have “YUGE” Democracy Spring?

Kai Newkirk, Democracy Spring/99Rise, joins Thom. Over the next few weeks - activists from all over the country will join together in massive march on Washington called the Democracy Spring. Their goal? To get Congress to take action on getting money out of politics - and to ensure that the world's most powerful democracy is once again a real democracy - and not just the best democracy that money can buy. Thousands of people are expected to participate in the march and the sit-in that will follow it - which could end up being the largest civil disobedience event in decades.
