DAnneMarc. Don't get me wrong i am with you it should be a women's choice. But the little dude is pretty much kicking at the point. Honestly it makes me sick just to think about it. Isn't the assault on the child at that age. I mean i find it hard to believe she couldn't decide to terminate the pregnancy before the third month.
Nobody answered me what are the REPs are doing that you call assault or war. Seriously I don't know.
Issa's figured out that a bunch of Tea Party groups are committing tax fraud and the IRS evidence will only bring more attention to this fact......meaning forced corp media attention to the truth.
Kend ~ Please don't confuse your daughter-in-law's baby with one of a woman of no means who is only pregnant because she was too poor or too ignorant to use contraceptives. Let me ask you this, would you have liked to come into a world as a result of your mother being forced to go to term by Government legislation and being conceived as a result of an accident? When you are born your first thoughts are, "Why am I here?" Would you like your answer to that question to be, "Because we were too poor to afford condoms;" or, "Because abortion is illegal."
Put yourself in the shoes of that unborn; and, then put yourself into the shoes of it's mother. Women are the vehicle by which life enters into this world. They should have the first and last say on the fate of that life. That is the structure of life that God has designed. Who are the Republicans to place themselves between the design of God and the future of the unborn? Especially, Republicans! Do they not condemn Government interference in the life of the individual? How do they justify this hypocrisy other than an "assault on women?"
boxspringm ~ Please don't be depressed! Thats what the 1% wants. Funnel your disappointments into Campaign Finance Reform and Move to Amend. We will all get our chance to vote out the Harry Reids out congress; but until we get meaningful people running for office on an even platform we cannot hope to fix this mess. Let's do what needs to be done one thing at a time. Courage and resolve is all we need. We already have the numbers. We only lack the organization and the commitment.

I was tempted to reply on Monday with the following comment, but tonights blog makes it more compelling.......I'm quite sure the plan you are referring to is the same one the House Republicans are on, and I'm in total agreement with you, we need to stop paying them.
Before lumping the Democrats into this same do nothing strategy of obstructive inertia, better check the Congressional Record first. It's easy to access.The truth will set you free!
You can find stuff like how many times the Teapublicans refused to allow a vote on Democratic alternatives to the sequestor and how the same Teapublicans did not put forward any proposals of their own to stop it. In fact many publicly declared they wanted the sequestor to happen. In private industry this is considered dereliction of job duty....... and you get fired by a dude with bad hair!
I have heared over and over "assault on women" or "war on women" what exactly is it the Republicans did to assault or war on women.
I didn't give abortion much thought before but I just realized you can have a abortion when the little thing is 6 months old. My daughter in law is about 6 months pregnant right now. Wow I don't know how a women can do it that late. I have always believed it is none of my business but this is hitting pretty close to home.

Right on steve! We should insist on at least a $500 Billion cut from defense. Leave the VA, The Department of Veteran Affairs alone; but target all foreign bases and no-bid contractor actions. We have no business having military bases in any foreign country that is not attacking us or posing a threat. As far as high tech defense and surveillance is concerned, you can burn these programs as well. The Art and Science of Destruction must cease!

I am so depressed.. I just want something to get accomplished but the dems are just as much to blame with Harry Reid in charge .. when he made the deal with McConnell I knew it was all lost..All the work, all the efforts of so many lost because of the stupid fillibuster that the republicans would never agree to.. The Dems are weak.. Obama frustrates me as well .. Climate change, Keystone pipeline..but this assault on women I know Obama has our back but why do people elect these idiots? Women are NOT going back to the last century and we will not stand for this ridiculous assault on our rights..Women will unite and we will throw these pompous idiots out of office...
You know only the republicans can get away with this. Republicans do this and people don't seem to pay much atention or make too much of it, but if democrats did this stuff there would be public outcry and demonizing of democrats. The public would not just snooze through it like they do when Republicans do this stuff, they would feel it was their duty to do something to get involved. People believe Republicans are out for their intrest and that democrats are out to trap them in to accepting something they don't agree with. I hate to them but liberals aren't the only ones that can make everything a crime like they believe conservatives can do that too and much easily because people don't put up a fight when conservatives say this or that must be done and suddenly everything is a crime.
I don't know if government's waste of time is more costly than its waste of money, but in Congress waste, fraud, and abuse are the order of the day! Today's Los Angeles Times has a front page article "Struggling to Take Off," in which the STAGGERING COSTS of the delays, manufacturing problems, and cost overruns of the F-35 fighter program are reported. Get this: "The GAO [Government Accountability Office] estimated the program would cost an unprecedented $12.6 billion a year on average through 2037--that's an average of $1.4 million an hour for the next two and a half decades." And this is for an airplane that can't even fly yet!
Why can't every senator and representative in Congress do something about this? The Pentagon needs to be audited, and some accountability needs to be established in the Defense Department. If that amount of money were used to install solar panels on every government building in the nation, we'd save money, create jobs, and solve the climate problem at the same time.
I would have no problem with Prism's surveillance of me, IF the data collected by the program is allowed to be publicly accessable on all congressional members for as long as they are public officials. (or lobbyists) Certainly they couldn't object if they aren't doing anything wrong.
Was the recent wiretap information on the Associated Press reporters the product of Prism?

I keep hearing that one of the things the GOP wants is for candidates for citizenship to pay back taxes. All individuals being paid wages in the US are subject to withholding taxes, including Social Security FICA taxes as well as any state withholding taxes and if there are any back taxes unpaid it is the fault of the employer, not the undocumented worker!
There are many of us who are conflicted about the idea of increasing the labor supply by 11 million workers , while at the same time doing nothing about the ' insane trade and tax policies ' that have shipped jobs from inside the American borders to the cheaper labor countries . Can these two issues be considered seperately?
The problem of the economy functioning to provide living wage jobs for all workers , says that it is economic reality to keep the product of American workers , in the USA ... even if they are illegally hired workers .... but those illegal workers should not be regarded as new-age slave workers here just to provide big returns for business owners.
The RepubliCons' claim to want ' border security ' is a cover to continue a stream of low wage workers as a culture they are comfortable with historicly. The idea that this low wage culture should be allowed to vote , eventually is the end of the Republicans power to continue their brand of wealth shifting from workers to their vested interests. My advice to Republican ' leaders ' : Get a real JOB and see what it is like !
