Ewww! I hit a nerve did I? Ever heard of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago in 1968? How many did the National Guard or Chicago police shoot that day? And it is kind of silly of you to demand any kind of "proof". I was just expressing my belief of what would happen in the event of civil unrest in the US...like the demonstrations of the people against the corrupt regimes that drove the people deeper into poverty while enriching the upper classes (ie: the super criminals that got away with screwing the people). Same thing is happening here in Amerika. It may not yet be quite as bad as in Egypt but it will be eventually. Again, that is my belief...I don't have to provide you with proof. How can you provide "proof" of something that will happen? You speak non-sense!
I voted for Obama and Hillary once and they both turned out to be useful idiots for the same upper classes who have screwed the working classes for over 30 years. I won't vote for them again...they blew it with me...they think that they can be re-elected because we progressives have no other choice. But yes we do....we can either elect a 3rd party candidate...someone a lot more progressive...or we can let the Republicans win and then watch the nation crumble even further and the Republicans would get the blame (except on Faux News where they are never fair and balanced anyway) and there surely would be massive demonstations in the streets in Amerika by then. And it would sure be about time. A massively, really pissed off American populace demonstrating in the streets would possibly require pulling all of those National Guard and soldiers out of foreign quagmires back to quash the demonstrators. Can you visualize helicopter gunships hovering over major US cities? Fire! Fire! And instead of a dozen innocent Iraqis and Reuters reporters, or children in the streets, they'd be causing more "collateral damage" upon our civilians too. It's all just a matter of time. They are well practiced.
The main reason Republicans go through with these political stunts is because they KNOW the Democratic Party will not reciprocate. We are dealing with a horde of Conan the Barbarians and we're trying to deal with them using Marquis of Queensbury rules.

Come on, guys. This is a guy who's been indicted for stealing a car, who once fired someone by putting a gun on the table, who was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon, and who was once accused of burning down a building for business purposes. Is this really necessary? You're only making him seem more legitimate by making a fuss of trying to do to him what he's already perfectly capable of doing to himself.

Issa dropped out of high school and enlisted for a three-year tour in the Army....A fellow soldier, Jay Bergey, claimed that Issa stole his Dodge Charger in 1971 while they were serving together and that, the day after he confronted Issa, the car was found abandoned on a nearby expressway.
After receiving a hardship discharge in 1972...Twice during that year he was arrested. Next time you get in an arguement with someone who hates government workers and thinks they are overpaid, over- benefited and aren't productive, ask them what they would do if there were having a heart attack. Call 911, of course. A single payer, socialistic health care system. Then ask them if those government workers, Medics, should not be getting health insurance and a salary that attracts the qualified not just the cheap. Then ask if 911 should be eliminated and replaced with a private for-profit ambulance who can demand payment before providing services. And lastly should the government workers in the public hospital ER's be eliminated, so that he can try and find a private hospital that will treat him without payment.
But it doesn't...given the level of poverty.
Issa shills for the insane billionaires. He was selected for his position based on who he is as a man. The people deserve to know the same details that the insane billionaires knew when they picked him for his current assignment.
They outed CIA operative Valerie Plame and tried to smear her husband, Joe Wilson, and offense that should have had Karl Rove and Scooter Libby hanging by the end of a rope. They said that Plame was "fair game". I say that Issa is fair game, since the perpetrators of treason went off virtually scott free. It's time to smear the smearers and show them up for their lies and their deceptive pasts. It's time to stand up to those who are destroying the United States and our democracy. It's time to pull back the curtain on these thugs who are paid to destroy the lives of good and honest people. Let's drag Issa through the mud that is his past and show it to the world, and let the bright light of day expose him for what he is, a paid goon who has nothing but bad intent.
Who are the adults without high school diploma's voting for? You can bet they are voting Republican or they are tea baggers. Ask those people if Reagan was for or against assault weapons ban. If they say NO you know they didn't have a HS diploma. The members of our population 35 and under don't know of the single bread winner families of the 50's, 60's and 70's. They have seen only in a vast majority of cases, both parents had to work. And then on top of that, the righties have lowered education standards since the 80's and re-instituted segregation thru home schooling and vouchers. On top of that they use Religion as a divider of the masses. It is thru these separations of the population that breeds distrust of those who are not the same as the person they see in a mirror and by doing that they can manipulate different groups to vote against there own interests. It's hard to educate people who because of there personal fears won't listen or research any idea that would be different then what they believe. These are the people on the right who always have to interrupt you when your expressing your view.

I was a nurse for 38 years and we were taught professional people should not belong or want unions. As a 72 year old now and listening to Thom on a daily basis I am so sorry I did not support unions in our hospital. My salary and benefits increased over the years due to the union, now as it is to late I realize why this occured.
It isn't just Wisconsin's governor that is attacking public employees. Ohio's Senate Bill 5 - supported by Gov. Kasich, whould effectively end collective bargaining for state and local employees.
Now gerald, don't start getting all paranoid about Beiber, just keep that tin foil hat on and everything will be ok.

What a blowhard! No answers only unsubstantiated BS. The unions are the average working man's last chance and these FAT CATS know it. That is why they think this is important. They feel close to finish line in creating a third world labor force here in the US. They are currently running away with this race and progressivesAND moderates better wake up. Those of us who agree with Governor Dayton aren't asking for any more than that the wealthy pay their fair share. And, please, at long last will you Reagan lovers stop repeating the tired and historically disproven assertion that tax breaks for the rich create jobs. The last several years have proven the error of that idea, and the last thirty years have proven the error in all of the Reagan economic theories. They only succeeded in redistributing the nations wealth from the middle class to the very rich. Let's stop supporting ideas that are against our best interests.

Are the recent attacks on law enforcement officers taking hold from the hate messages of O'Reilly, Hannity, Beck, and Limbaugh? Hate messages have a ripple affect on all groups, such as progressive and conservative groups.

Jane Cunningham's version of family first ... If the parents can't earn enough to support the family working minimum wage jobs then get those kids out there in the job market.
A second benefit would be the reduction in education costs. Since the kids won't be in school, you don't need as many teachers. Bonus.

Actually Thom, Bismark did enact some very progressive programs. He initiated Health Insurance for Workers, old age pensions, accident insurance, and disability insurance. Now he didn't do it out of his strong desire to help out the lower class, he actually did it to undercut the the Social Democratic Party, he wanted to keep people from supporting liberal agendas. So basically he was giving a little, to keep the people happy. I don't necessarily agree with Bismark's policies, but I sure can admire his political prowess.

Let us never forget that the Reichwing Party is the family values party. Having children working 60 to 80 hours a week is good for family values.
The two senators in Utah are Mormon. That is my current belief. If I am wrong, please inform me. In Michael Lind’s book, “The Next American Nation,” he says that the United States of Mortal Sin IS AN ANTI-CATHOLIC NATION. The Catholics in certain positions in our country are only tokenism. THERE WILL BE A BACKLASH AGAINST THE CONSERVATIVE CRAZY CATHOLICS THAT WILL AFFECT ALL CATHOLICS IN THE UNITED STATES OF MORTAL SIN. The Supreme Court is controlled by the Catholic Mafia. Our nation is not concerned about family values. We are an evil, vile, and wicked people.
I worked with a person who said to me, "PEOPLE GET WHAT THEY DESERVE." The people of Wisconsin are getting from the person they elected what they deserve. Here are some dire statistics that our son has shared with us. From January, 2001 to January, 2011, the American work force has 1.5 million fewer jobs and the American population has increased 11.5 million. Foreign workers with skilled trade visas can enter our country without any limits in their numbers. Our American government is lying to us about our improving economy. To stop our endless wars would mean a greater unemployment percentage. That will never happen because America is a war time economy.

Lane contradicted his own criticism. Conservatives differ from Liberals because Cons want to lower taxes and a smaller government. When posed with Eisenhower's post-war tax policy, he agreed taxes should be raised when at war. Does he not realize we are still funding two wars on borrowed money.
