When the neo-cons and libertarians sing the praises of small government and free markets, they don't seem to understand the need for proportionality. If corporations continue to grow into all-powerful monopolies, don't we need a much larger government to balance their influence over the commons? It's a given that the corporatists will never consider the externalities of their rape and pillage of the planet. They dump that on the rest of us, and laugh as we turn against each other over fewer and fewer crumbs.
The Corporate elite have looted our country and transferred their wealth to foreign safety confident that when the bankrupt US disintegrated into anarchy, they could retreat to their private islands in the Caribbean to enjoy the sweet fruits of their plunder... or so they thought.
I thought you would want to see this short video, (maybe you've already seen it), about a creative way to mop up all that oil in the Gulf. Also see the letter to congress recommending that they check this out.
