"Matter of Trust" out of San Francisco is collecting human hair from across our nation and has it sewn into hair matts and fills booms with it in order to soak up the oil in the gulf. There are over 370,000 hair salons in the country collecting about a pound of hair/day which is normally discarded(trash). Oil sticks to hair so it is an ideal material to do the job of oil gathering . It can be washed and used over for up to 40 times.Please check them out and give them a shout out.
I’m an addict. To anyone who really knows me, that’s not a revelation. For those who don’t, then I am just crazy. Either way, they are both right. I am a crazy addict. Now you can understand the underlying motivations behind these daily blog things. I don’t consider myself insightful but I do love to stir up the pot from time to time as long as it gets people thinking. That’s probably because disturbing the comfortable is my lot in life. I did it in the classroom for nearly 40 years and I’m doing it here.
Oil is still spewing is because all options are based in still trying to turn that hole into a profit making well.
Noone is considering that the Navy could bomb the hole, caving it in and closing it.

1. Immigrants don't cross the border for the weather, the food, to steal our jobs, or to get on welfare. They come here to feed their families!
