I watched the interview he did on Rachel Maddow, it was pretty unbelievable. However, I have to admit the topic was sort of interesting (in a freakish way), but I also see his candidacy as an excellent opportunity for us!
THE UNITED STATES is under attack by eco-terrorists as we speak! This is like watching the towers of 911 coming down in slo-mo for months in real time. Do we really want to wake up in a year or so knowing that we've been had? Then it will be too late... Why the sam-hell is BP running this show?? Tell our President to use our military in our own best interest for once, and do something NOW.
The discussion about financial reform needs to be refocused. The current focus seems to be based around limiting the size of financial institutions, regulating or eliminating derivatives, and controlling fraudulent behavior (i.e. Goldman Sachs, et.
I was listening to Thom's show while driving home. That was a treat. Lately I don't get to listen to it like i used to, but I had a rental car with a sirius radio in it, and so I was listening to you while driving home. And you talked about Mr. Paul and his argument about "individual" versus "collective" as an argument about government versus private enterprise. I wanted to shout at the radio, but i was driving in a hurry so I couldn't dial in. The fact is that argument is a bromide, and here is why:
Crude oil consists of a range of molecular weight hydrocarbon chains. In that sense it is similar to any plastic composite and it should be possible to harden it sufficiently in the leak by freezing to stop the flow or using a catalyst to lengthen the chains to harden it. Composite strength is enhanced by using reinforcing fibers, which might include golf balls, etc. A sufficient length of pipe or drill hole needs to be hardened to keep the pressure from blowing the hardened plug out. I worked on aircraft bearing grease to assure the grease allowed low torque at -65
If there ever was a poster boy for the unorganized and message confused Tea Party, we have him now. The son of Ron Paul, Rand Paul. Dr. Paul is an ophthalmologist from Kentucky. Short biography includes that he has been married for 19 years. He is the father of three boys. He has had a successful opthalmology practice in Bowling Green for 17 years. He was the TP candidate over the main-stream Republican candidate backed by the Senate Minority leader Mitch McConnell (R-K). He leans libertarian with the mantra for small government, less intrusion and more accountable fiscally.
In the future, instead of saying we're going to the " Big Easy " when visiting New Orleans, we'll call it visiting
the " Big La Brea ".
