President Obama's pathology (?)

A while ago a caller to Thom's show described her hypothesis that President Obama has some emotional issues centering on his absent father that is affecting his relationship with the Republicans, especially with those in a leadership position.

Terrible Tommy

So now you have the House, wadda ya going to do next?

I'm going to Disneyland! Well not really. There's work to be done, lots of work to be done. Are we up to it? I hope so. Ignatius Loyola urges us to "presume good will" of people, at least until they prove differently. Forget '94. Forget even Tuesday for a moment and regroup for a second or two. In spite of the last two years of the vicious denigration of Democrats by Republicans, we have to work together to get things done now more than ever. With the House turned Red and the Senate still safely in responsible hands, it will be a tough job.

Roll back American wages and prices

If we ever want to have more manufacturing in America like back before American got so greedy and stupid then change must be on the agenda. Change can make everything better. Change is the medicine the sick businessmen of this country and many countries need. American wages and prices need to be fine tuned. The American wages and the American retail prices must come down and adjust in order for America to ever be the manufacturing country it once was.

Google "Mahindra Trucks, Georgia"

This is why India is on Obamas radar this week.

Great, just what we need.... more imported gas hogs!

The cost of caring

According to the U.S. and World Population Clock for today, 11/8/10, the U.S. population is estimated to be about 310,663,030.

Thom got it wrong last Friday on the Iowa Judges

There was a caller last Friday who wanted to talk about the Iowa Supreme Court justices who were voted out of office by the right wing loons. Judges in Iowa do not run political campaigns to sit on the bench. In Iowa there are nominating commissions...nonpartisan...who nominate lawyers or judges for open positions on the state courts. The Governor then will appoint a justice from the list that has been forwarded to him/her (of course in Iowa, we have never elected a woman Governor and as strange as it may s

ADD Book

I beg to differ, your books on ADD are the best out there. It helped me reframe not only my life but continues as well for my clients. As a therapist to be able to offer "you are a hunter," not just an imbalanced brain has been beyond healing. Maybe get it out there more?

Inside Job film

While most of the movie content wasn't new to me, I found it appalling to see all the details in one spot for all to see. The simple fact that the same bunch that has recycled themselves in and out of various administrations is still in the Obama White House. We shouldn't be hanging on every decision, on every piece of legislation, because the Inside Job is a fixed job, and we have no voice and no hope for changing it. The only thing that seem logical is that when this bunch is done taking everything, including the whilte house kitchen sink, they won't have anything left t

Here's what the feud and reconciliation between John Adams and Thomas Jefferson can teach us about civility

Thom plus logo Donald Trump did not invent the art of the political insult but he's inflamed the level of vitriolic public discourse and incivility to a new low unmatched by other presidents. In a tainted tradition that has permeated our history, other presidents have not been immune to dishing out acerbic insults against one another.
