Bad News Fridays!

Many people used to look forward to Fridays. "Thank God it's Friday", "got through that one", "time to kick back and relax". However, Fridays have not been living up to their reputation for some time now.

Researcers discover sex-change gene.

Researchers at the University of Minnesota Medical School and College of Biological Sciences have discovered a gene that is required to maintain male sex throughout life.

The research team, led by David Zarkower and Vivian Bardwell of the University of Minnesota’s department of genetics, cell biology, and development, found that removing an important male development gene, called Dmrt1, causes male cells in mouse testes to become female cells. The findings were published today in the online edition of Nature.

This matra is still being preached to a flock of involved believers. The truth as I see it is these people still believe they will become a part of this "rich group".Nothing wrong with that belief. This "rich group" actually constructs impediments(laws, procedures, taxes) which prevent entry. If lower taxes creates jobs, our economy should be "burnin' up":70%(80's) to 20%(now).50% lower has created the current situation. The believers got some "splainin'" to do.

A popular third party “We The People” can create.

Warning: It's a Setup! (Debt Ceiling)

This smells like a setup, and it looks like the target is Liberals and Progressives -- and the American People.

As this plays out, it'll come down to a vote in the House. Look for the Republicans to be split, while Progressive Democrats who don't want cuts in SS and Medicare will be in a position to cast the deciding votes.

All of the framing in the media is supporting the Radical Right's agenda. This morning, I heard a Democrat not only referring to SS & Medicare as "entitlements," but talking about "entitlement reform" in the deal!

Thirty years of wasted lives, dollars, talent and energy. Even worse than the millions wasted to put men on the moon.

Atlantis touches down for last landing

Space shuttle Atlantis touched down early on Thursday in Florida, bringing an end to NASA's 30-year shuttle programme. Four astronauts on final NASA space shuttle mission end voyage successfully at Kennedy Space Center.

Raising taxes creates more jobs?

Once again Thom misses the chance to explain how taxing businesses, large and small, increases the chances of them investing in themselves. Seventy five percent of the hiring is done by businesses that have 25 or fewer employees, and are subchapter S companies, which pay tax rates at, currently 1969 levels, the rate most of us pay.

GI Joe versus the Super Cool, Laser Shooting, Flying, Remote Control Robot

Let’s play a little game using our imagination. Imagine all of the world’s workers as toys that children (global corporations) may want to buy. Now imagine a large aisle of new toys in shiny brightly packaged boxes and that you are this child (global corporation) shopping with your birthday money (record profits).

SPANISH REVOLUTION - Spain in revolt and no one knows!

Awhile back I got this YouTube video from a friend. Confirmed with friend in Spain.

Are Republicans trying to cut entitlement programs or are they pushing possibly the biggest tax increase in history in order to destroy capitalism?

"The Saddest Thing Is This Won't Be Breaking News"

Thom plus logo As the world burns, and more and more fossil fuels are being used every day planet-wide, atmospheric carbon dioxide levels passed 416 ppm this week at the Mauna Loa Observatory in Hawaii. In the 300,000 years since the emergence of modern humans, carbon dioxide levels have never been this high.
