Pandora's Promise

I watched this documentary last night and I was galvanized to the screen. Normally I never finish watching a documentary, because the show is either too bias or omits a lot of information. The worst ones are the re-enactments. They bore me to tears. This one, however, took a number of anti-nuclear activists and showed how the activists had done a complete 180 on the generation and use of nuclear energy. I have never been anti-nuclear, but would prefer "renewable" sources.

MALAYSIAN flight over the the Indian ocean

I am very concerned after speaking with friends of cia contacts that this plane has been hijacked to afghanistan or pakistan with the objective of keeping plane for military use and eliminating passengers. Why does the press and governments not get this???

Obama's strength led to Crimean invasion

By now we have all heard the Republican talking point about how Vladimir Putin perceived President Obama as weak and therefore decided to occupy the Crimea. According to Time magazine for March 17, the actual reason for this invasion had to do with the Ukraine being envious of the relative prosperity of the West, and it began to improve ties to Europe and NATO, even despite the possible downside of dealing with the IMF. This relative prosperity has a fair amount to do with the improvement in the American economy since the Great Bush Recession of the late 2000's, and I

C'mon America...Let's Keep the Lights on?

Which is better?

A massive overall of our health care or the massive overall of our income tax rates. It appears taxes. It seems many of the Democratic are leaving government service sighting stupid reasons, now under Obamacare, while when the tax reform took place in the 1980s many stayed on claiming they were the ones who wanted it. But really didn’t. Remember Economics 101 says if the Customer has more take home money the more they will buy and the less they have the less they will buy.

Consumer Unions

Posted this at the Strategies and Organizational Forum at IOPS. I posted this to maybe clear up somethings about my ideology...

There are systemic social impediments and institutional economic suppression of peoples of color that are rhetorically misidentified as results of “cultural” deficiencies. Public service for any community cannot achieve what is “good” without the permission/sanctioning of those served, and surely not by making the mistake of thoughtless offenses to them. The intensity of my feelings about abuse of police authority is born of a common experience among my contemporaries and easily understood by them. There was institutional and of

Does Trump "Tweet" When His Staff Says No?

Thom plus logo Lev Parnas tells the story of how Donald Trump fired ambassador Marie Yovanovitch at least "four or five times," and that they were afraid that he would "fire her with a tweet." This is not the first time we have heard from White House insiders that the president often gives irrational or stupid orders that his staff then ignores.
