If there were no rich class, then there would be no poor class.

The title line comes from Pelagius, a 5th century Christian monk from Britain, who believed in sharing resources with poor. Pelagius was not favored by the catholic hierarchy or the corporate powers of his time.

Single-payer Health Plan

I lived in Germany for a few years and I like the kind of health plan they have. When I'd get sick, I'd go to the doctor, and if he couldn't cure me, he'd send me to another doctor that could. And I never had to worry where I would have to get the money from, because there was no co-pay, no deductible, or anything to pay. That's the way it should be here. Healthcare should be a right, not a privilege for the rich. In Germany, they take 9% out of your paycheck for their national health insurance and the employer pays the other 9%. That's how it should be here.

womens healthcare

Since the Republicans don't wnat women to have abortions or maternity health coverage, I think all males should be neutered. We would then not have to protect women for having babies or abortions. All male children should be neutered at birth if a woman happens to become pregnant.

"Working Families Flexibility Act"

No the GOP overtime rule changes are not a benefit to workers, it is a way to get out of paying time and a half. Scenario A, imagine a $10 per hour employee working a 60 hour week and then later working a 20 hour week with the extra comp time, that gets them $800. Scenario B, that same employee works the exact same two week schedule with overtime pay that employee should take home $900, 60 hours of regular time and 20 hours of time and a half.

SICKO BILL

REPUBLICANS you must be proud of Drumpfs new health care bill and the resulting millions of fellow citizens who will needlessly suffer or die ,all in the name of political posturing. Last republican attempt at passing a 'health care ' bill would have left 26 million Americans uninsured , this one has 'state death panels' creating obstacles, including financial obstacles to care for sick Americans with preexisting health problems .

Trump turning a new leaf

By the time a human reaches the age of 40 they are pretty much set in their ways. Any effort to alter one's habits (The New year's Resolution) will last anywhere from 5-7 minutes, 5-7 hours, 5-7 days or 5-7 months. Behavior modification at this point can only be achieved with chemical or electrical treatment. So, don't go thinking that Mr. Trump may turn a new leaf. He's 70 for chrissake. He is humanly incapable. He'll fool you for a few minutes. Beware of the charmer. There's sharks' teeth behind that smile.

Perhaps Our Understanding of the Political Landscape is All Wrong

I would like your feedback on the following thought. Perhaps we are missing Trump's agenda, and we may not be alone. It occurred to me that the objective of both political parties during the presidential election, with the important exceptions of Bernie and the Donald, was to vie for the coveted post of Corporate Representative in Chief. Donald Trump's victory nullified this position. His win was a corporate takeover. In effect, it made the Congress and both political parties irrelevant.

Unity ~ for Liberals, Progressives and Democrats

We offer to all Liberals, Progressives and Democrats a new group called, "Unity ~ for Liberals, Progressives and Democrats" My questions to you all, are very simple, are you sick of the infighting, of the bashing of Bernie or Hillary? Do you believe that if we are to defeat the Trump Republicans, we must unite? Do you agree with this statement, "It's time for UNITY!?" If you said yes, then this group is for you.
